  1. I like it - well done PJ, well done MFC - thank-you Infiniti
  2. I never get involved with politics just does not worry me. If they like football, like red&blue, like singing our theme tune - Who Im I to judge - they sound alright to me.
  3. Dear SWYL Its ok we talk about the trivial stuff at Tigerland like - I'm always happy to learn from successful positive people - How to grow our crowds - How to sell more memberships - How to increase your income streams. Sorry, we are not interested in politics, religion, etc, etc. Mate we leave the important stuff to you like - How to pick a fight with the AFL - How to hate poker machines - How to continually pay-out on past and present players - What our clash jumper and song should look or sound like. Mate we recognise there is nothing you are not an expert about. GO Dees PS Never forget the 1st time I saw Clayton Oliver at a Tigers Reserve game at Punt Oval of all places - I had to listen for hours how they were going to pick him up late in the 1st round of a draft. I just smiled - JT understands also he can learn from the Tigers. Go Dees
  4. Geez I’m sure I pointed that out a few days ago - maybe the club does read Demonland
  5. I should clarify my above point for you - "Remarkably, there is only one team whose attendance has grown every year in the last 10 years, and that is Richmond. The supporters were onto something." With all due respect it may have been more than their "supporters" that were onto something. Many years ago at Tigerland we understood while some communities where full of criticism, complaining, moaning etc Topics included drafting, past players, the AFL, coaches, the media, fixtures, songs, clash gear etc Alternatively, We were discussing ways we can make money to grow our football department grow our attendances, grow our memberships ( membership numbers by themselves are meaningless - its bottomline profit you derive out your membership base that has some meaning.) Attendances & memberships are important cog to the success of any football club - but you need your supporters to have a positive mind set long before you can ever possibly attempt to deliver the ultimate goal - an AFL premiership. Premierships are not luck - if you think they are all you are demonstrating is the media is your major source of information. Thank-fully we have a very bright future in a very difficult environment - thankfully AFL has assisted us beyond belief and some of us will be forever grateful - thank-you AD thank-you AFL. Go Dees
  6. "Remarkably, there is only one team whose attendance has grown every year in the last 10 years, and that is Richmond. The supporters were onto something." With all due respect it may have been more than their "supporters" that were onto something. "For this discussion however, what's more important is that the mean and median margins came down in 2017, having reached an all time peak in 2012" Think its fair to say the draft is not an equalisation tool - we now know the road to equalisation is thru equalising financial spends inside Football Departments. Give under funded clubs good draft picks is meaningless, you need to spend money in player development and player welfare - then you can pick up players at any stage of a draft. Other tools that work to improve equalisation FA and trading players & picks to meet your clubs individuals needs. The draft circa 2018 is nothing more than a tool to extent the reach of the AFL season almost exactly the same reason we invented fantasy football to build the hype pre-season. I welcome the AFL's efforts to trade picks and players on draft night and there is then a possibility we can finally call the draft an equalisation tool.
  7. Lets just take it one game at a time. We have drawn a line in the sand and after the disappointing of how we finished last year the players are ready and raring to go. They have been training the house down and now its time to move that training from simulation to gameday. hehehehe
  8. Cass some people just want to critize, complain, moan irrespective of what system was chosen. Just part of life - your positive attitude is refreshing. All the best for season 2018 Go Dees
  9. All of the above??? Dont forget played poker machines with his Aunty Maye till 1.00 am in the morning !!!
  10. This result could set our club back 30 years !!!!! How many memberships do you think it’s going to cost us? Is it in anyway possible this result could bring us one step closer to the end of the world as we know it? Should I inform Lord Vader? Or Can I blame Jack Watts?
  11. Think you might find the AFL was asked by the clubs to tweak the songs - trying to improve the sound quality at SOME of the many grounds we will play AFL footy at in 2018. No big deal clubs can do what they want - stick with the old poor sound quality if they elect to or upgrade the sound quality for the fans. Sometimes you are dammed if you do dammed if you don’t - such is life
  12. You are spot on - in his mind the random number pulled out his rear end is pure negative speculation. Fortuntely, MFC has a loyal resilient supporter base - we prove it Year in Year out. But we have also had “the veil” to deal with - such is life. These days the club is a very positive environment with very positive people controlling the Levers. Long may it continue. Go Dees
  13. That’s a very good question- I suspect you are not going to like the answer - No- let me explain. With memberships you are in the business of selling hope. Most MFC understand the process - we are grinding out solid sustainable improvement year after year. We talk alot about the Tigers - they are brilliant at selling hope then upgrading your financial commitment- you would be staggered what I pay for my Tigers membership - but that’s for business reasons. Would you buy or sell a share based on a company having one bad day - the trend is you friend. One bad day on the football field is exactly the same - makes no difference- the trend is your friend. Its only the irrational numpities that make desicions based on one game - Essendon and every other team in the league are living proof you sell memberships on hope. You just have to ignore the “negativity” coming from the MFCSS inflicted. They are complaining experts , they will complain about the fixture, complain about the AFL, complain about the MFC - Roos addressed it but they are so stupid they did not understand what Roos was talking about. We have a very bright future in a very tough environment. Go Dees
  14. Nah you were all just being a bunch of negative old sooks Did you bother to look at their 2105 numbers? You are comparing us to a bunch of drug cheats - LMAO Essendon ? 2015 61,000 2016 57,500 2018 67,800 - Essendon make the finals Melbourne 2015 36,000 2016 39,150 2018 42,250 - Demons dont make finals So what is your point? You are wrong again - Again MFC supporters show their resilience. I wonder what happened at the DRUG cheats in 2016? Please stop insulting some MFC supporters there may have been other reasons the drug cheats got such a big growth and it has SFA to do with making finals.
  15. I don’t give a stuff what Caro says regarding the MFC & SAS training. Your an idiot if you bring a pen to a street fight - footy is not played on paper.
  16. Success is a great accumulator in life. Some can reach it as a matter of mind set - some will never reach it even sadly if their life depended upon it. Success can be defined by walking off the battle-field with two arms and two legs haven given your all ( self defined ) and be prepared to go again. Elite performance is not about how intelligent your are it’s about how determined you are and the sum of the people around you.
  17. There was certain people claiming the last round would cost us thousands of members - it clear they are wrong again - MFC supporters display their resilience again. Not long now and we get rid of the negative old boys once and for all. Go Dees
  18. A couple of the old blokes have soiled their underwear and you have made their nurses very upset - some of them are going to need more than chill pills
  19. Good policy just never get sick & if you have a “private” message system disable it
  20. Exactly, Facebook under most circumstances can identify the guilty party - they store the data in their data centres on their serves.
  21. How many website owners read the terms and conditions of their webhosts, google, facebook, twitter, cloudflare, rss feed syndication etc etc - plus if your site has been in existence for a few years what you did agree to back many years ago is not worth the paper its written on ? Governments all around the world are struggling with legislation.
  22. Brilliant Summary minus the political references. You have nailed it -external links work both ways for web-bots , once your site is indexed - good luck removing the content from the public domain. Yes you can remove it delete it from your site, but its almost impossible to remove it from the public domain.
  23. I agree & in today’s world anybody who hits that save button and publishes content online in the public domain is a journalist- why I found it interesting they made a clear point and mentioned social media. Facebook, Twitter hold content and data on there own servers and in their own data centre - but that is not the case for all sites. 99% of the population don’t understand the internet - descriptive metadata, keywords, web bots meaning nothing to them.
  24. Posters need to be more aware of Demonlands code of conduct 4. Player abuse is the most difficult area to moderate. Whilst we do not want to stifle player comment and criticism player abuse is NOT acceptable. Comments should be constructive and not destructive. Comments such as "player X is useless" or "player X is crap" are NOT acceptable. As of today the AFL players have put all publishers on notice both on and offline. The vitriolic language you use towards players past or present could get you in deep trouble.
  25. enligh of today’s events you wanna be very careful what you say regarding somebodies reputation unless it’s 100% true. Now if you don’t know for a fact your post is redundant - again after today’s events.
