  1. Wonder how he might go back there...has he got Jetta's leap ... he is a shorty who must get high to spoil as Jetta does so regularly with aplomb as an interceptor?
  2. Random compliance test but/or a set-up attempting to find reasons for his brilliance? Who arranged this - an ex-Carlton AFL official?
  3. With Viney's return to midfield, I'd reckon Trac's best spot is to be launched from the HFFlank (LHS) as a roving utility across Half Forward in general. He does get back to position/opponent coverage quickly which suits this role. The depth of his impact could also be from the wing but his goalscoring is essential - maybe too far for him to roam. He is a great target, a great ball getter and a great threat to any team in the competition. He does need to be worked, however.
  4. One of the Smiths, Keilty and Oskar B seem to be readying and could be trialled, soon.
  5. This is a great innovation for us, so Goodwin deserves a pat on the back for such decision-making. With my bias, I also like to see Pedo into this mix each week while he can still walk and before he needs a cane to get from one side of the fwd line to the other, as I really admire his work ethic, his improved fitness and his skills to create scores. These would be great attributes for the Weed to see onfield with Pedo, to join in such team play and to adopt for his own future, and transformation.
  6. Really interesting question, isn't it D4? We are all thinking of that. I get some consolation and happiness from the fact that our game against Whoreform was so close, so unlucky in its result, so manacing for Whoreform and so 'unexpected' in its competitiveness that in this re-build, we might ignore that scoreline to realise that we had a considerable morale-boosting victory in its own right; afterall, it was the brilliantly coached Hawks. Added to that was our strong effort for three quarters against the current Premiers, the Tiges. We were demoralised in the last quarter but the difference between a win in that game and its actual loss was pretty close 'up to a point' and form at the moment could tend to be interpreted to provide a winning result had the game been played now. The Tiges actually struggled against the Roos and so did the tide of the game. The Tiges, therefore, have susceptibilities. The Tiges were struggling against the Dees. Still, it is great to be in the top eight, now to build.
  7. Not exactly sure what it is (sniff, sniff) but there is something attractive about Garlett being in the team in the forward pocket area in our game against Carlscum ... fit, good form, ready to pounce and hungry ... on our way to a Demon thrashing of the Navy Blues (you know what they say about sailors, don't you?)
  8. Cannot fault this analysis - very accurate and indicative of what could be done for Viney's return. We need to annihilate Carlscum by the same amount of goals as we did with Gold Coast. With some of their key players possibly missing, perhaps this can take place. We need a win for 4 points; we need a massive victory for added percentage to shake up the top 4 on the ladder. We need it now.
  9. Only used as a meter of comparison...I could have indicated 12.
  10. It is imperative that we start using the Pedersen in the forward line instead of Weed. No-one cares that he (Pedo) may not be - a key position forward as someone keeps ramming down our throats - but no-one is asking him to be in that function. He remains out 3rd best tall with muscle and skills and goal kicking and marking and shepherding and team play and if not, he is equal to 2nd best - plus, Weeds cannot. Had Pedersen played yesterday, we would have won by bucket loads of goals, not just a mere 11 goals!
  11. Our dilemma, heh? I'd get rid of the Weed at present - we cannot carry him although his ruck taps were fair to good. Not enough. Team wins now are more important than his education. I'd put Pedo into CHF for sure against Carlscum to add a bit of muscle and some accurate goal kicking in an opportunity to kick at least 30 goals. Viney in and simply, Tyson out. Pleasing to see that Harmes' game is returning to 'handy' on the outside.
  12. It gives us all a focussed reminder of the 2017 season disappointment. Forget the Tigers result, if Gawny had kicked that goal against Whoreform we would now be in 7th Heaven in the AFL Ladder top 4.
  13. The kicking issue again raises its ugly head but a great win to kick enough good goals to compensate.
  14. All in the back of peoples' minds, this stuff. We think about it and the more often 'rather unexpected decisions' are made, the more that we feel vindicated about out suspicions. Beelzebub raises some good points in this regard that trigger alarm bells but why does this internally totalitarian regime wish to do it yet again to the MFC just because they can?
  15. It is so sad, for all parties, and so unnecessary to engage in rumours and suppositions. The law is the law and it can run its course to make decisions warranted on evidence and fact. Let's not bespoil Demonland forums with inuendo and let this one pass at this point. To know something is not smart, it is a form of self-aggrandisement if you pass it on publicly at an early point. Many are affected by a drug or substance culture as a feature of our society. Not all are guilty of such personal choices. and circumstances between and across people differ markedly.
