  1. I was agreeing with you... xo - peoples view is often contingent of where 'we' sit on the ladder from a drafting perspective, and you my friend were teasing out the nuance of drafting vs development.
  2. Mmm clarity, even without the cheroot!
  3. In 2019 - We’re 17th! ‘It’s woeful!’ In 2018 - we’ve made a prelim! ‘The acquisition of Oliver was a master stroke, our recruiting has been ‘bang on’ And with the usual attrition of players not coming on as per all other clubs’
  4. do you mean the track watchers?? ?
  5. Pumping up his tyres a lot you are. Are you his favourite uncle @spirit of norm smith?
  6. Cool. I look forward to your report and subsequent criticisms of the live action
  7. Out of curiousty - Were you at the sesh @DeeSpencer??
  8. THAT escalated quickly... What on earth do you mean?
  9. Demonland posters do, what demonland posters do...
  10. is that the second time you've mentioned it now?... 'tis verging on a big deal to you
  11. With a nod and a wink, the afl will let us do what we want as, they took pick 2 away from us.
  12. The injuries were catastrophic. The 'lack of depth'... isn't a lack per se, it's where any football team would have been at, in trying to plug holes with player 40 on their list.
  13. Bingo @BAMF - I've seen him present at places over the years ( I am in a different, but overlapping discipline) If he all about running, he'd never have been employed by Melbourne, let alone Arsenal etc etc etc
  14. Yep, looks nice. But can he coach this particular discipline? Clearly the club are backing him and his style. He's been around the club long enough, they know how he operates, and how he educates the players. Sigh, sometimes it feels on this forum that the only case that is put forward that legitimises someones role to coach other players, is if they were an out and out champion in a particular position.
  15. Fiasco feels a bit strong. Disappointment yes, more so for him, rather than the club. HO,FD, whomever; should rightly back themselves and their medical dept to get great outcomes for individuals and thus the team. Clearly it's easy in hindsight to shake the fist at the cloud and say "I told you so". Not that KK is done yet. Mind, what's your current stance on picking up Harley B?
  16. Ahhh! You’re an oracle. I get your posturing now
  17. Yep, they sure won the 2019 Premiership...
  18. I would love to hear about the initial steps of the football club making enquires about Bennell, how far back it was, what was said in reference to role he would have, whom we thought could help. I'm not sure if it has been reported/discussed in the media, but I feel as though this could have been 6-12months in the making. Of course, I could well be wrong. Anyone got some intel? (is that jargon still used in the industry?)
  19. For the life of me, I cannot see how anyone can link how Goodwin operates in press conferences - which we ALL know - have very little resemblance to how any coach operates day to day - and how players/staff react to him - and then FURTHER to how he has a future in the game... They are mutually exclusive things.
  20. Thanks for the heads up Scooter - erm I presume I would not want to be misinterpreted as Laughing Goat? Ones a goat, ones a dude coming off the back of a wave at The Wedge.
  21. What do suppose allowed that to happen?
  22. Armstrong certainly injected a lot of volume ...hyuk hyuk hyuk
  23. I dont have a problem with this, I also dont have a problem with players forgetting to update their apps (is this how the modern age works)...humans forget, this stuff happens. It also looks great for the AFL's window dressing of keeping the scourge of drugs out of their industry. #harmreduction
