Mental Health & the AFL
All the players 'struggle' - I know of one club in the last few years that had around 50% of their players attending one psych external from the club... ranging from premiership players struggling with weekly scrutiny from public and perceived judgements from teammates, as well as those who felt there were favourites from coaches/selection committee and not getting games... and then more general anxiety. The more the services are used (and advocated for) the better. It's a generational shift...and Thank Fork for that.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
It's fascinating isn't it, who provides what expert information to the AFL to make the 'entertainment package' more subjectively palatable. I for one am a purist, and quite like the dull sounds of blokes running on turf, smacking into each other, whilst having a beer in one hand, and goanna oil in the other...

GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Bruise free football coming up for both teams... and fair enough. There is genuinely no point playing.... perhaps someone can tell me what political mechanics allowed the football season to begin anyway.

GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs West Coast
Mmmm, i thought that, then I realised I was referring to form from the 2019 season. A whole range of things have drastically changed. I'm optimistic.

Welcome to the MFC - RED BULL
Hopefully they're using Andy Walshe as part of this, rather than the product itself... judging the quotes above though, I think not.

Nice research @FireInTheBennelly! Not desirable from my perspective.

AVB
On a side note - considering the climate (literal and metaphoric) of the world and how insular people are getting. If I was AVB (from Tathra) I'd move to Bermagui up the road... if you check the map - you can burn both bridges of the rivers and cut yourself off from the rest of the world as there is no other access... just saying property is cheap.

If this is true - then this article from Vanuatu may be a good read. It's the boredom that makes it hard.

Viney Cleared to Play Round 1
cheers Chook, you may have not taken in my previous post. I am cynical, and I agree, yes they are legitimately doing from a perspective of care AND to reduce litigation, though I can't be bothered to quibble over how much is driven by either reason.
