  1. a bloke i played footy with was accidentally knocked out cold in the last game of the season a few years back. i caught up with him a few weeks later. "you been to the doctor?" "na" if it wasnt the last game of the season he'd have been wanting to play the next week, i guarantee it. the club wouldn't have let him but not all clubs are like that.
  2. I mean there's not much to admire about roy Keane but I say get him in for KB and tell him maynard is related to the older haaland. I'm not serious of course because we are better people and I expect us to channel our anger into the scoreboard.
  3. hopefully having a 13 day break and a 12 day break as opposed to 2x 10 day breaks will help.
  4. i will never be convinced ma****D executed his duty of care to gus. ever.
  5. when are we going to start a breeding program and shack the boys up with the womens team to create a generation of superfootballers, born with footballs in hand? im joking btw
  6. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA honestly my 4yo kid could be a better journalist than half of the afl journos. and he can barely write.
  7. Yeah I was just thinking if I'd go with 17 or 18 on the field still. I think I'd go with 18 but that person can no longer take part and cannot be subbed out. So they can use the sub but on someone else and are down to 3 on the bench instead of 4. Mind you, country footy they go down to 17 players... so I wouldn't be unhappy with that either cos, well, don't do stupid things and get sent off
  8. Honestly bumps like this and Maynard's are why there should be a send off rule. Because if you were an immoral piece of feces you could do this a few times in a GF or to the opposition's best player, win a flag and who cares about the suspension. Even in a home and away game it gives you an advantage as the opposition have to use their sub to replace someone they might not have wanted to replace at a time they don't get to choose. I'm not saying use a red card willy nilly but in cases like today's...
  9. We looked like we've taken the summer media personally
  10. Was moloney. Missed by a foot. Tbh I think that's actually how suspension should be metered out. If you try and knock someone for 6 but miss you deserve to go.
  11. MRO ex Port Adelaide player? X tribunal chairman Port supporter? X Preseason game? Tick Head injury? Tick 4 weeks minimum.
  12. Guys guys guys! Maynard is the victim here! /s
  13. Ports mistake is not having the MRO or the tribunal chairman with connections to Port.
  14. OR you could look at it from the point of view that family culture is excellent to have and that the boys are family oriented and not spending their saturday nights down at revs.
  15. Feels. I missed the QF thanks to work but KB and r23 the year before were 2 of the worst fan experiences I've had... just as a result of feral fans.
  16. If it has to go inside the cap, I say go bonkers KB and knock out half of the pies a few times and make them all retire and keep their entire salaries in their cap too. You could literally hamstring a club that way. I'm not serious of course but it certainly doesn't provide a disincentive not to knock people into next week.
  17. If they make us keep his salary in the cap for the next 5 years I will lose my mind.
  18. I think we absolutely do. We won't get a thing though.
  19. Well we don't deserve one for JS.
  20. Good article. re the last paragraph- they should be seething. I am. I have been seething since the QF. The season cannot begin quick enough
  21. Ironically I thought Powell pepper had the bloke thrown into him. Certainly to an extent.
  22. ill point you at gus' statement where it says "a direct result of the incident in the qualifying final" then.
  23. Interesting the very specific language used around it being caused by that incident and not a culmination...
