Farewell Jayden Hunt
He got games....which he wouldn't have with us. He started ok, then went back to his usual poor form. I ribbed my Bomber mates about them giving him John Coleman's number!!

Farewell Jayden Hunt
There is a few players doing well that we've lost that wouldn't get a game with us, that are going well else-where. Hunt, Bedford, McInerney, Weideman,....one or two others, that I can't think of. It shows how deep our list has been in recent years.

CASEY: EF vs Footscray
But it was so important for the AFL side to have the reserves still alive in the finals series. ...to have non-rusty , hopefully in-form,replacements for injured, or out-of-form players from the seniors.

AFLW: Rd 01 vs Collingwood
But why is the Premiership pennant pink? Shouldn’t it be red and blue?

Was Weitering lucky?
T Weitering was lucky that the fingernail that broke the skin on Toby's eyebrow didn't dig into his cornea , which could have caused longterm consequences. Most taclklers seem to avoid the eye, but not Weiering ( or that viscious recidivist Judd.)

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
I was at that game on Anzac weekend in 2006. Very exciting.! Aaron Davey out- marked three Sydney talls in the square for an important late goal. Cam Bruce kicked the one that put us in front late,. The ball was near their goals when the siren went.....very nerve-wracking! That Schneider 50m penalty sickened me, that an umpire could fall for such an underhanded (excuse the pun!) trick. Poor old Paul Johnson damaged his shoulder in an important sacrificial act, and was never the same again. That was the only time I've ever been in the rooms after a match. I couldn't believe how exhausted the players all were.

Great… thanks. I thought so, but I wasn’t sure. But you are !

The Run Home
I should know this, but I need help. If we beat Collingwood in the Qf, then the loser of the other QF gets back to the preliminary final( Port or Bris)....who gets the home final? Dees because we won our first final, or Port(or Bris) because they finished above us?

NON-MFC: Rd 23 2023
I know it’s better for us if Collingwood win……but I JUST CAN’T barrack for the bestards . I know I should move on, but it’s the ‘58 Grand Final which has given me permanent scars. I want a Coll.win by a point, with multiple injuries to both sides. I’m ashamed of that sentiment, but I have to be honest.

Footyology: Comment on JVR tackle
It's a bigger stretch to say he didn't. They were lenient on throw calls all day, except for that (ultimately match-winning) call resulting in a Curnow goal. (Maysie must have been cheesed off.)

Footyology: Comment on JVR tackle
The Carlton supporters are brilliant at pressuring the umps. Their incessant screaming of 40,000 for frees must have an effect. I sit in the MCC members' area. Mainly Dees supporters , and it's deathly quiet. People look at me disapprovingly when I (not so quietly) implore the umpires to watch the game. The free count was pretty equal, but without the Blues' "noise of affirmation", it would definitely have been in our favour.
