Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I think Taylor is a very inaccurate kick for goal.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
That would have helped.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
I reckon we’d have beaten Collingwood if we’d played Billings instead of Sharp. i.e. picked a player in great form instead of a proven non-contributor. Would have made at least 7 points difference.

PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Anyone who watched the Casey/Bris game would have to have noticed Spargo dominating the game. I’d select him for Windsor’s spot.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
I was amazed that ( as far as I remember), Jed Adam’s only had one kick-in.That kick went 60m to Gawny in the centre…..probably our best for the year. So he was relieved of kick-in duties. Perhaps it was against club policy to kick in up the corridor It reminds me of the brainless tactic( of all clubs), of taking a guy off immediately after he kicks a goal. Laziness by the coaching staff, because it gives them more time to arrange their interchanges. We could gain a small advantage on all other clubs by abandoning this habit.

NON-MFC: Round 22
But I was hoping for 187.

NON-MFC: Round 22
When he was born, Mr Miers wanted to call him Brian. The Mrs wanted him to be Graham. So they compromised on “ Gryan”.

NON-MFC: Round 22
Mr Smug (otherwise known as “Fly”),is quoted as saying. “No-one’s bigger than the individual”. !!!!!! Certainly no-one’s bigger than kicker Mason Cox. Is that what he meant? I wonder if he mixes up another metaphor and says….” there’s no “I” in “side”. !!!!!!!!

Nathan Buckley a Dees supporter?
I just checked AFL tables, in April 1991. Cuthbertson kicked 7 v North in our record equaling, score, then another 7 in our win v Collingwood( during my honeymoon,.), then 5 the next week. Then we had a bye, and he seemed to lose all form. I don’t know if this was when he lost his mate.

Nathan Buckley a Dees supporter?
I think Darren lost his best friend in a car accident or something, and had trouble getting over it. I wonder if he keeps in contact with his old team mates.

Welcome to Demonland: Tom Campbell
Let’s hope Max doesn’t get injured. If he does TC would be an excellent replacement in the short term. But Will Verrall’s development must be kept in consideration.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
People seem to forget that it is only just over a year since Trac nearly DIED from a football injury. It’s amazing he’s played as well as he has this year under the circumstances, and we can expect him to return to great form in 2026. It would be foolishness of the highest order to let him go. Meanwhile, I think supporters under-rate Clarrie’s contribution this year. He’s in and under packs and distributing the ball so fast that you have to watch the replay to know it was he who got it out. His stats aren’t as elite as they were before his meltdown, but his pre-season was compromised, and probably won’t be, in 2026. Please, please , retain these two champions.

PODCAST: Rd 21 vs West Coast
I thought he played much better in the Seniors than any of his Casey games.

NON-MFC: Round 21
“Dingley!”……I love that!

NON-MFC: Round 21
Geelong winning by50 points, and Port have a set shot. VLoud booing from the Geelong supporters. Pathetic! I’m glad not many Dee supporters do that. But I do like the way the Demon army make a lot of distracting noise, led by their blond “conductor.”

After the Great Choke
The umpire was the dumb one. The touch was blatant.

After the Great Choke
Item no. 1 above. Rivers tackled him straight away, because he knew it was obviously touched in transit....directly in front of him, and an umpire. It should have been holding the ball.

PREGAME: Rd 20 vs St. Kilda
What about how he fails to keep his feet in contests, i.e. goes to ground? How many dropped chest mark scan we tolerate? He’s never dominated a reserves game the way AJ did last match( admittedly v weak opposition)

May to Tribunal
Brereton got it right ( for once) when he said you reflexly clench your fists when intending to bump . May’s hands were open at the time of the clash.in an intent to grab the ball.

NON-MFC: Round 19
It was just luck that Moore didn’t rupture that guy’s spleen . I was hoping Freo would kick a high one to Moore in “ the hole”, and Treacy would rush in with his knee in the back , the way he did twice to Gawn in the pre-season game. Or perhaps Brayshaw would do a “ football act “ spoil on skunkhead Maynard , ending his career. Neither happened, but at least they lost.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne
L Actually , Xerri coat-hangered Lindsay in the first quarter, with 3 min to go. It was “strikingly” ( pardon the pun) similar to the Sparrow hit.
