  1. I hate to jump into a riveting argument, but there is nothing amiss with paying either of those guys that - except as Stuie mentioned he is waaaaay over the salary cap with the rest. You can't have both.
  2. Get a room fellas.
  3. Titus O'Reilly's look at the game: Melbourne vs. West Coast (TIO) 7.40pm As a Dees supporter, I couldn’t be less interested in playing games in Darwin. Any Melbourne supporter worth their family’s inheritance thinks Etihad Stadium is too far to go for a game. Still, like the aftershocks following a devastating earthquake, the Cameron Schwab era still impacts the Demons every day. Melbourne are riding high following their exciting win against Geelong, and so they should be. No one was more surprised than every single person on Earth. The problem for Melbourne is every time they seem poised to win two in a row, they don’t. It’s a real shame too. A friend told me winning two games in a row is a really worthwhile experience. West Coast have proven the doubters wrong in the past few weeks and good on them, considering the injuries they started the year with. They’ve been so good that even Victorians have mentioned them a few times in the past few weeks. I met up with a couple of Eagles fans in Perth just last night and they tell me that a young guy by the name of Matthew Priddis is worth keeping an eye on. Remember, you heard it here first. I can’t see Melbourne beating West Coast in this one, although I tipped them to lose against Geelong and if I thought that would help here I’d do it again. Not that that is what I’m doing, eight years of pure hell have taught me to tip against the Demons every time. If you think that’s disloyal, all I can say is “You weren’t there, man.”
  4. Not a liar, his sources just aren't that accurate.
  5. That's the way - we can't have too much positivity around here so someone needs to bring us back to reality. Thanks Franky, we appreciate your efforts at negativity. Not worried in the slightest. As rpfc said, more wins = more members.
  6. You would rather the one doing cocaine instead then? Spot on as always HH...
  7. The Bombers are being dudded big time unless there are picks involved in that deal.
  8. I agree, in that too many mention those names above as potential delistings, yet they are still contracted for another year. Technically they can be traded IF there is a taker, which for those 3 I doubt there would be, but there is still that option. It does boggle the mind a little that Terlich and M. Jones got the contracts they did however.
  9. It is about delisting AND trading... so while it's relevant it also doesn't mean it dictates what we can try to do in the off season
  10. That's it mate, move the goal posts. What next? Not happy with a comparison because they wear different coloured boots? Different breakfast cereals? Face facts - your idea that we should 'give them something to think about' is way off the mark, as what we would need to give to do that would be way above what anyone here would be happy with. Macrae isn't going anywhere.
  11. You're clutching at straws now. If the Hogan comparison doesn't do it for you, then liken him to Brayshaw. We wouldn't consider any offers. Neither would they. They aren't trading away a kid who has shown plenty and only spent a few years in the system.
  12. I don't think there is one to be honest. Col Garland is the sort of player we NEED to keep at this point in our development as a team. He brings experience to a side that is still lacking a bit of it, and he is an important part of a back 6 that is looking very settled. We seem to get caught up in this idea that another second round pick would be great, but that was then, and this is now. We are improving and we need some continuity in the side as much as possible, plus I don't think there is a ready made replacement lurking in the bushes to take Garland's spot. Losing Chip was something we could cover. Losing Garland at the end of this year would be tough to handle for our backline. A must keep for me.
  13. Such as? Would take more than our first rounder to get close.
  14. If he lifts in the second half he could easily say it another 99 times...
  15. Won't happen. No chance in hell the Dogs trade him.
  16. How many times will BT call Jake Stringer 'The Package' during tonight's game? Surely 100 isn't out of the question...
  17. Exactly. I loved the win from the weekend and can see that we are heading in the right direction, but we also need to remember that we are still a vulnerable side and we are still prone to lapses during games. I still think we are capable of winning another 6-7 games, but I think we can be satisfied (not necessarily happy) with another 4 wins. Heading into 2016 knowing we doubled our wins will help set the expectation of 10-12 wins and possibly finals from there if we are good enough.
  18. I'm purely looking at this from a worse case scenario, but if we were to win 4 of those final 10 games then we have 8 wins for the season. That doubles our win tally from last year and gives us a good platform to build on for 2016, and it also shows potential recruits we are headed in the right direction. Obviously I would like to win more than that but I'm looking at it purely from the minimum we need to achieve to call the season a success.
  19. No chance. It's almost as if he's the first person to reach that milestone. He's been a wonderful player, sure, but they are going right over the top with it all.
  20. It's been just the sort of break out performance we have all been waiting for!
  21. Who would have picked that? Barring late goals we have been terrific in all areas. The challenge is to keep that up in the second half. We are certainly in with a chance!
  22. Says the bloke who is doing exactly that.
  23. You're that shallow that you'll take one photo as proof that our players aren't up for it today? Christ.
  24. Proclaim Saty as the best poster on Demonland.
  25. I wonder if Adam Farr is on his way down to the game yet...
