  1. Spot on. You know we are really scraping the bottom of the barrel when Dean Terlich has to be named on an extended bench.
  2. I'm sure this is coming from another one of your spot on sources HH?
  3. No Clark and no Stanley makes things a little simpler. Dawson Simpson has dodgy shoulders and may or may not play. It's actually a good opportunity for Gawny to have a good day in the ruck and with Blicavs potentially being first ruck it nullifies that plan a bit. I just think we need to have body on him at the contests and not allow him to get that free run. We can, hopefully, plan for that.
  4. Sorry, this whole thing mucks me up all the time. Can we match an offer from another club for him or can he just up and leave and we have to take the compensation we are given?
  5. He is a restricted free agent as well, so I'll be interested to see if we match any offer made for him, or we have a certain amount we won't go over. It does mean that he may get more than his market value which will bump up the compensation we receive.
  6. I'd be happy to let him go IF we had a replacement waiting in the wings. If we got a pick in the teens then I would rather us package that with something for a trade than drafting another kid. We need more quality, not more kids.
  7. It was my mistake - it was fractured and dislocated, as mrtwister mentioned above.
  8. Apparently Aaron Black is disgruntled at the Roos and may request a trade back to Freo - if he was looking for more game time is he worth a look as a 3rd forward type for us? Maybe we try and convince him to come over with the promise of more game time... or is he just another guy like Dawes who shows a bit in the shop window without there being much behind it?
  9. Exactly. Grimes breaking a thumb and Pedersen breaking a wrist are out of our control. Garland breaking his hand last week is the same. Plenty on that list were unpreventable.
  10. We aren't the only ones though. Judd and Daisy are gone for the Blues, the Giants just had Mumford go down for the season, Davis out for 6-8 etc. It's unfortunate but, apart from a few clubs, there are plenty with a long injury list. It's just a shame we don't have the same depth as some of the others.
  11. The report said Pedersen fractured AND broke his wrist. Don't think I've heard that happening before. I reckon he has done enough to earn another season on the list too. Obviously this means we have two forced changes, with Dawes the likely in for Pedersen but not sure who they swap for Grimes. Could Harmes possibly get promoted at some stage?
  12. It doesn't offend me in the slightest. As I said, I'm glad I don't support the club as you do. It's as if a loss completely washes away any positives from a game. It doesn't. We are clearly developing players far, far better than we have in a long time. When is the last time we had young players sustain their form over an extended period of time? Brayshaw, Vandenberg and Hogan have been great all year. Toumpas is getting better. I could go on. I know we are judged on wins and losses, that's what it comes down to, but underneath that there is concrete proof we are getting better and yesterday's loss doesn't wash that away.
  13. So we do show improvement and you want to shift the goal posts to suit your argument?
  14. I don't get you though old dee. You seem to revel in the negativity, almost as if you embrace it. You've got 17,000 odd posts and I wonder how many of those have had a shred of positivity in it. I could probably count them on one hand. And don't give me the rubbish of living through so many losses and blah blah blah. Plenty have done it, yet they don't enjoy it as much as you do. What would happen if we started winning games? Would you cease to post? Would you sit at games and nit pick at ridiculous stuff while our own supporters shake their heads at the silliness of it all? Would it frustrate you that the club is playing well and that the feeling of enjoyment would be so foreign to you? As I said in an earlier post, I'm glad I don't support like you. In fact I wonder why you support at all to be honest. I just don't get it.
  15. Not really. We were doubly awful that night. Kicked the first couple and then couldn't get near it apart from a few in the last quarter. We were far better last night than then.
  16. We've improved because we were in it. I'm not dumb enough to realise that wins are what is most important. No doubt about it. Yes, we let them win, but we are in so many more games these days where we are in a position to win. We need to LEARN how to win and go in for the kill, but outside of that we have improved as a team across the board. The second half of the year will truly show that, unlike last year where we fell in a complete heap.
  17. I'm happy to clutch at straws here but they ran with them in horrible conditions. Freo were awful as well. But I get the drift of what you are saying.
  18. Just as you should allow others to have a different point of view.... ? At least be consistent.
  19. Very true. It's frustrating as, when we put that effort in, we look sensational. We just need to do it more often!
  20. I love what he has brought to the club. Hard work, professionalism and a willingness to be an excellent role model for the younger players. What I love the most is that he has totally embraced the club. You can see in the way he plays and talks about the club that he loves being here and wants to do everything to help us succeed. Now if we could pick up a player or two like him at the end of the year through free agency....
  21. Constant losing gives me zero joy either, but it doesn't mean I can't see the positives and gains the side is making.
  22. I'd even argue Brayshaw is well on his way to being an A grade player for us as well. Lots to like about these kids.
  23. I'm glad I'm not you then. Enjoy the rest of the season old fella.
  24. So you don't fancy us to beat Essendon, Carlton, Brisbane, Saints, Dogs or even a tired GWS at the end of the year? Plenty of chances to win some games by the end of the year. We've had a tough run in the first half of the season, and if we get a few back after the bye and stay fit then we will easily push for 6-7 wins.
