  1. Yeah, his coaching effort againt Hawthorn was absolutely terrible.
  2. Well, that sucked. We didn't want it early and we couldn't peg them back. We had more of the ball in the end, more inside 50s and so forth, yet we played right in to their hands. It's not good enough and I'm positive, with another pre-season under our belts, we will get better at these situations. Hogan needs to fix his kicking, no doubt about it. But to suggest he has an 'attitude' problem is ridiculous and disrespectful. 19 touches and 14 marks in horrid conditions is a damn good day out. It's tainted, of course, with his kicking for goal, but that can be fixed. And if I see posters claiming our culture hasn't changed and so forth, then you need to take a good, hard look at yourself. You know it has changed. We need to eliminate these types of losses, but I suspect this will motivate the boys for a big pre-season and a crack at finals in 2017. Just noticed it was 20 free kicks to 5 today. I hate blaming something like this, but to suggest we only earned a total of 5 free kicks in a game of footy is ludicrous.
  3. Exactly Chook. 19 touches and 14 marks. His kicking for goal over the off season needs some serious work, but to suggest he has a bad attitude with stats like that is ludicrous.
  4. Don't mention this loss or the one to Essendon then.
  5. Both. I bought 3 memberships this year. Back in your hole.
  6. I'm only saying this because I'm annoyed at the moment, but I hate the third man up rule. I really do. What's the point of having a ruckman when anyone can run up and have a go at it? It's ridiculous.
  7. I haven't wanted to question the selections this year, as while you get some wrong, you often get it right. We've seen that in the second half of the year. However, Michie and Neal-Bullen have been invisible and Weideman can't get near it. Right at the end of the half Michie did a little, dinky kick that went straight to a Carlton player and it was horrible to watch. All 3 haven't given us a 'boost' of energy so far and it is hurting us.
  8. They have missed so many for us as well. Even then out of the centre Curnow had a chance to dispose of it, got tackled and it fumbled out... play on. That last one on Vince was a joke. Only 3 goals though, if we start kicking straight it's ours.
  9. The negative nancies are loving this. It's one quarter. We aren't going to win every one we play. We'll be fine.
  10. Kerridge and Silvagni are late outs, Everitt and Graham are in. No late change for us.
  11. I like him, but he strikes me as a Dean Kent type of player. Do we need him? Do we think he could make the transition to the midfield?
  12. Yeah, because that's totally going to happen. Hibberd for a second rounder, either this year or next, is the most likely outcome.
  13. I hope for Prestia's sake that there are more reasons than that.
  14. Can someone explain to me again why Prestia would want to play for Richmond? They are freaking terrible.
  15. I agree LT. A first round pick is too much, but a second rounder is about right for me. If that's what Melksham was worth then Hibberd, to me, is around the same mark. I'll be happy when he officially nominates us, as I think his addition to our back six will be terrific and, as others have said, it will release the likes of Salem and Vince to play further up the field.
  16. They might be cactus in the short term. But three top 10 picks, as well as adding McCarthy, Hill and possibly Lobb, while Bennell might also come back into the side, and the future doesn't look all that bad. I think they need to go in to full rebuild mode now. What if Fyfe leaves at the end of next year? They won't get the same deal as the one GC are offering now. If they feel that Fyfe is even a small chance of leaving, then they would be silly not to seriously look at that deal.
  17. Me too! I was wrong last week, so I'm confident that I can't be wrong two weeks in a row...
  18. I said that about Port last week... and they were poor, and they were going in to the game with an outside chance of a crack at the finals. The Blues are playing like a side who can't wait to head to Bali. I expect us to belt them from the outset.
  19. I get annoyed by it too, but that's what this board is for, so you can't really argue with it too much. Aaron Black is everything our club doesn't need though - with the position we are in, we should be recruiting players who we believe can be best 22, or at least best 25. Aaron Black isn't someone who'll do that.
  20. My guess is that he's done a deal with Whorethorn.
  21. I think Freo are a real chance of accepting the deal, but Fyfe is still under contract and has to agree to it - he might come back to Freo and say he wants out, but only to a Vic club. He doesn't have to go to GC if he doesn't want to. He might see Prestia leaving, Ablett being in his twilight years and possibly Swallow and O'Meara leaving as well, and not see much of a future up there.
  22. Just saw Brad Hill totally squib a contest. Gibson looked at him in total disbelief.
  23. 5 year contract? I hope that knee holds up...
  24. Wow. That's a huge offer. I can't see Freo doing it, as I'm sure they'll want to back themselves in to get better next year and have him sign on, but if they are slightly worried about his leg and he isn't the best teammate (as has been reported and commented on in some areas), then they might bite on that deal. That would, potentially, give them 3 picks inside the Top 10, plus they are already keen on McCarthy, Hill and possibly Rory Lobb as well. This off season is going to be very, very interesting.
  25. Watts has played that role for the second half of the season. I've rarely seen Pedo do it. While the changes do raise an eyebrow, I'll back the club in again. They know what they're doing.
