  1. There's a few of these around, titan. Some only show up in gameday threads to pot the team and disappear when things are going well. Either they are horrible supporters or trolls from elsewhere looking to stir up trouble.
  2. That's not exactly what he said. He said Wagner has played super footy for what he is and what we gave up for him - essentially a rookie listed player who has made it on to the list. Read posts carefully before you get your knickers in a knot.
  3. Jesus. How have this mob even lost a game this year? I think I'll plonk down some coin on them for the flag.
  4. I'm still not sold on the fact that English is your first language. pWISEBLOOD
  5. Nice try at avoiding the question I asked. I would blame our loss 50/50 on injuries and the fact it was our fourth game in 18 days. Nothing to do with depth. I'll ask again - which of the other clubs, other than GWS, have depth that's better than ours?
  6. Not arguing that, just observed how quick he reported it in threads and then made a full thread on it's own about it. You could see him almost jumping with glee at the news.
  7. When it rains, it pours. I still wonder if Olisik supports Melbourne. Never seen him say something positive about the club, only ever rocks up to bring up something negative. He must support Richmond.
  8. Name a side, other than GWS, that has it better off than us. Muppet.
  9. True, but we all know the outcome if it doesn't work out. If we deviate from the plan and we run someone off it could give them an extra number around the contest and potentially a scoring opportunity while Oliver tries to get towards the action. If we had a few ball ups or throw ins on that side of the ground then it may have given him a chance, but we've got no idea who he was replacing and how they wanted to make it happen. Swans kicking for goal was a bit of an anomaly so I don't think we can be too critical of what happened.
  10. The thing that sticks out for me is that he plays the game as, basically, a pure midfielder. Replacing Viney with, for example, Dean Kent is not like for like in terms of position and role. Maynard strikes me as someone who can play an in and under role with a little more ability and consistency, even though I have no idea how he will fare at AFL level.
  11. No optimism from you, Clint? That's so unlike you... Well we are two for two this weekend - Blues got rolled to keep them well out of the hunt, and pretty much out of finals contention, while the Dogs getting rolled was excellent as well. I reckon Freo are a chance at home and I will bow down to every God that is worshipped if the Lions pull off an upset over Essendon... but I don't think our luck will stretch that far!
  12. It looks as though we will have 3 forced changes - Viney, Tyson and Bugg. White and Wagner didn't set the world alight, and neither did guys like ANB or Harmes, but I think they'll get another crack thanks to the injuries. Who comes back in? Big week on the track, but you would hope Hogan, Garlett and Watts can get up. The problem there is that we are potentially bringing back 2 talls and a small for 3 smaller players. Does that leave us going in too tall? Do we also drop a Pedersen (just an example!!) for someone like Trengove, or even a Maynard? Huge week ahead.
  13. If you look at his posting history so far you'll find that @Elegt is obsessed with the notion that our depth is total rubbish. He can't fathom how some of that depth has already helped us to multiple wins this year, but you can't talk sense to a muppet.
  14. Crows already 4 goals up. We need them to win so the Blues' finals chances are 100% snuffed out and it will take away a little incentive for their season. With the injuries we have we need all the small wins we can get for the next few weeks.
  15. So one loss and a few injuries can totally wipe away 4 wins on the trot? Don't be silly.
  16. Thanks for that, much appreciated. Fully agree with your last comment - Goody never seems to lose his call, he knows where we are headed and how we need to get there. We are most definitely in good hands!
  17. If you have a little time, could you possibly give a few of the main points of the interview? Cheers.
  18. This. We've known it was coming for months, and to take 3 wins away from those 4 games is a mammoth effort when you factor in the injuries. Hopefully we can regroup and get our momentum back next week against the Blues.
  19. I know last night's loss was a tough pill to swallow, but why anyone would believe that we are going to spiral down the ladder at this point of the season has me at a loss. We've shown time and time again that we are up for the challenge and that we can match it with any side. I get that we have lots of injuries to deal with, but I've got faith that we can steel ourselves over the next month and take at least 2 more wins as we add some of our important players back into the side.
  20. Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for him, but I don't feel as though Buggy intended to get him as he did. A whack to the neck/top of the chest may have been his intention, but if you take the risk then this is what can happen. Doesn't excuse what he did and he will get weeks (4 sounds about right), but doesn't deserve the high level of criticism on here at the minute. Buggy will be back.
  21. I know I'm clutching at straws here, and I'm not saying it was a large factor in our loss tonight, but it was clear that we were lost in the conditions last night. How often do we play on a ground that was as wet and slippery as the 'G was during the game? It just felt like many of our players, who were probably already a little nervous and tired, constantly fumbled the footy in key moments or slipped over while the Swans were able to keep their feet. I know it's a small thing but it certainly added to our troubles last night.
  22. That wasn't my point at all. I used Brayshaw and AVB as examples of players who can slot into the side when we have injuries and play to a standard higher than the others. I never said he was best 22 so don't go and put words in my mouth.
  23. Maybe, but it seems unfair to spread rumours about players that are based on hearsay. We can pay them a little more respect than that.
  24. Name one club, other than GWS, that could cover the injuries we've had to this point? I'll answer for you - none. It has nothing to do with depth issues, it has everything to do with losing a host of key players, not to mention others like Brayshaw and AVB who could easily slot into the side as well.
  25. What do you want him to say, Einstein? He said it was a bad look and he was embarrassed by his actions. You can't say much more than that.
