  1. .....Or you'll cry !!!
  2. I try B) !!!
  3. That works well for me too!!!
  4. My soft spot for Miller aside I doubt there is much of a future for Brad with us, but I love the form he showed here...... Ten goals is a great effort under any circumstances, and good form should be at minimum acknowledged. And if nothing else that kind of form in the reserves will (should) put selection pressure on the forwards in the current Demon twenty two, and may well make them play better so to make sure their spots stay that way. And pressure for spots can only be a good thing (see Collingwood). Anyway whether we see Brad again in the red and blue is up to the selectors (thankfully not us), but a great performance (by anyone) should be applauded.
  5. I was there, it was actually quite a moment !!! As for our road to a potential finals appearance, cliched or not, all we can do is beat whoever is in front of us. And as great as it would be to make the final eight, to me, it is not the be all and end all. We have had (& hopefully will continue to have) a great season, which lays a wonderful foundation for the next few years.
  6. I wouldn't worry what anyone on BigFooty says, full stop.
  7. Amen H, well said.... It is a beautiful, all encompassing (150+ years) design that does what it set out to do. Congratulations to those that designed it, job well done!!!
  8. Hey there Bub !!!
  9. '"We're"'......seriously? He does remember he's a Carlton man right?!!!
  10. And I'm talking to myself .
  11. Come on WYL don't poke the bear, please..... We all know there is no relation between the coach and the Debt Demolition so lets just move on !!!
  12. Fine but it is still irrelevent to the topic at hand..... Please this thread is about the Debt Demolition, not about whether Bailey can coach so please stay on topic.
  13. While your opinion is fine Boss, it has absolutely nothing to do at all with what Stynes is trying to achieve in paying off the debt. Your personal like or dislike of the coach, the players, their methods or the colour of their shoes is not relevant, on topic or helpful here. No one minds you having the opinion, everyone is entitled, but for heavens sake please keep what is trying to be achieved by this appeal in perspective. It is not about your dislike of our coach, but about finally giving this great club the solid off field foundation it desperately needs. I would have thought that this is something most, if not all members, would love to help with.
  14. It also didn't happen when Channel 9 had the rights....... Basically the networks swapped the broadcast when a Sydney game was scheduled on Foxtel so it would be seen on free to air in the host city. This hasn't happened in the last four years or so, to any game on a Sunday that happens to clash with a Swans game. Now we just get the same game twice !!!
  15. .....and maybe just a little sad !!!
  16. On the womens side, both of the men got through pretty easily!!!
  17. The last time he beat Federer......
  18. If he plays like that and can remain injury free through out the tournament then he can probably beat just about anyone, even Federer. That being said too many long grinding matches early will put his fragile body under enormous stress and someone will benefit from that later on. The mental thing is the best for Hewitt, he knows how to win a Slam and understands what it takes to succeed during the two weeks. And on grass he is more or less at his best, and he is playing better than I have seen him in ages (he also played well going down to Rafa in Paris) But I wouldn't think he is in with a legitimate chance of claiming the trophy, but I would hoped a quarter final appearance would not be out of sight. All depending on the draw of course......
  19. He tends to draw that particular short straw pretty regularly, he also seems to get Nadal in Paris in the same round every year. So maybe beating Hewitt is like some kind of a key to winning a Grand Slam !!!
  20. And even this is questionable..... Sheedy is lying when he says that Folau is a Western Sydney boy. His family moved from here when he was a little'un and he has never played for a Sydney based NRL team. His junior footy was played in Brisbane. His original professional club was of course the Storm and he left them to go home - to Brisbane. He plays for the Maroons in State of Origin and has no connection left to this state whatsoever. Not overly important re talent but this isn't about talent because he has never kicked a Sherrin. He is a capable athlete and may prove to be a good AFL player I don't know, but he is not a great choice as a marketing ploy, as he doesn't really have anything to do with the West. If I had my choice Jarryd Hayne would be it. Apart from the fact he is IMO a better prospect (he has actually kicked a ball in an NRL game, and does it well and consistently), but he is also a local, he grew up playing in Cabramatta and Minto, went to Leumeah Sports High, and now plays for Parramatta. Much better PR bet, which they knew because GWS actually made a pitch to Hayne at the end of last year, but he knocked them back to re-sign with the Eels.
  21. I still think 9th to 12th stands......
  22. The answer is still no......
  23. Wearing red and blue probably didn't help his case !!!
  24. 6. Davey 5. Green 4. Miller 3. Jamar 2. Trengove 1. Bennell Apologies to Frawley, Watts, McDonald, Jetta and Scully
  25. Sorry, but I can absolutely guarantee you that Roos will step aside at the end of this year. John Longmire will be taking over for next season. Paul Roos to hand over Sydney Swans helm to John Longmire (among plenty of others)
