Is that correct? You are only required to quarantine in QLD coming from Victoria, and even then, there was 20k plus there to watch 2 quarantining sides (Geelong/Collingwood) to play in Perth two weeks back.
-
Received the same message, but was unaware it was being limited to 500. Not happy, had organised shifts to go and everything.
-
Fritsch one was definitely 50. The Bailey one should have been as well, but for different reasons, as he sneakily tapped the ball away before stand over it.
-
That article implies it was for the first, straight on, one? I could half understand if it was the sling in the last quarter, but if it's that first one that is an absolute disgrace.

Kozzie Pickett's no-stat highlights reel
Forest Demon replied to Little Goffy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Umpiring and the rules are a complete mess. We have a rag tag bunch of semi professional umpires being asked to officiate based on rules that are massively open to interpretation. And on top of that, they are obviously being asked by the AFL to change those interpretations week to week in response to things like Clarko’s comments. -
What a ridiculous thread. Oliver was good last night. Yes he has made some mistakes, but we are asking him to take the game on more and that will come. To say he’s not up to it is a joke. The bloke battered Selwood and Geelong in a final 2 years ago as a 20/21 year old FFS. Harmes is a depth mid. He hasn’t been at his best this year, but definitely not on the chopping block. Brayshaw is the interesting one, as he is well paid and needs to be more than a fringe contributor. But there are already multiple threads discussing that.

6 Viney - massive game, great agility in tight 5 Oliver - settles after a couple of early errors 4 May - very solid 3 Gawn - didn’t get the marking, but still good 2 Langdon - underrated game imo 1 Petracca - quieter but still good
-
Lockhart definitely better than suggested and I thought Langdon was good, despite being one who missed a gettable set shot.
-
Just home from the game. - Brisbane’s pressure around the ball was very very good and it was bloody tough to get a clean clearance - The above made Viney’s performance even more impressive, he was great in traffic all night - Oliver also very good after a couple of shaky kicks early, and Petracca also solid - Lever and May looked good down back, and Lockhart had a lot of small involvements that might not show up on a stat sheet - OMac struggled when the pressure was on, and Jetta really struggled, but had obviously copped a couple of knocks - Pickett was in the play a lot early, applying lots of pressure, but faded - Weid and Jackson did a solid job, but Weid’s misses were obviously costly - Brayshaw was no good, barely noticed him and when I did, it wasn’t overly positive - Almost forgot Langdon, he was always an option, was good defensively and his disposal seemed tidy, even going back towards the corridor

We’ve lost to Weet Coast, Richmond, Geelong and Brisbane. And we find ourselves having to beat top of the table Port to keep our season alive. Tough comp, but we have to start winning some of these games.

There is parking available at the ground for a tenner if you are lucky enough to have a designated driver.
-
Oh really? That throws my plans up in the air. Let us know if you come across any viable alternatives.

I've always thought Brisbane have one too many talls in their best 22, and could probably do without one of McInerney or McStay, but hey, it's working for them. But add an inexperienced Archie Smith to the side, and I do wonder if they might make a late change. I see Witherden and our old mate Rhys Mathieson are emergencies.
-
Rain has been expected, so we should be prepared, but it has bucketed down all night in Brisbane. I can only assume it’s similar on the GC. On paper you’d think the wet suits us, but past evidence suggests it doesn’t. We need to play smart this evening.

Scratch Match: Carlton vs Melbourne, Richmond & Essendon
Forest Demon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good idea really. Except for the Essendon players. Hope our guys had a long shower afterwards. -
Gawn has played what may be the best non 10 vote game I've seen. He could not have done anymore, but you can't have any complaints with Petracca getting the 10.
-
Forward of centre, he has the ability that not many on our side have, and that is to consistently lower his eyes and hit targets. If he is delivering the ball inside 50 more often, we are going to be a better team.
-
No to Ben Brown. He will be 28, cost too much, and while he's a decent player, he's just one of those one trick ponies I can see dropping off sharply. I like the idea of bringing in a proven half back, and releasing Salem up the ground. I'd personally be open to trading Brayshaw, as it makes sense to trade what you have an abundance of to fill a need in another area of the ground, but I'm pretty sure the club are keen on keeping him, so it would have to be done in another way.
-
North play 4 days before as well. Geelong at the Gabba.
-
No use whinging about the travel, everyone's fixture is a mess. I've checked Collingwood, who are the supposed big club darlings of the AFL. - Sunday vs Fremantle in Perth - Thursday vs Sydney in Brisbane - Tuesday vs Adelaide in Adelaide - Saturday vs Melbourne in Brisbane That's 4 games in the space of 13 days w/ lots of travel.
-
If we can win 1 of Brisbane or Port, we will be in great shape to make a run in the second half of the season.
-
Brayshaw is actually a really nice long kick, and on both feet as well. It’s those short kicks, particularly on his left that are dodgey.

Dees on Brink of Another Trade Disaster
Forest Demon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6 games into their first year, not sure what else you could ask from a small forward and a 200cm plus forward/ruck. Would not trade either of them for anyone else in the draft on exposed form, bar Rowell of course. -
Brisbane have a lot of talls at both ends. Id be tempted to play TMac, Weid and LJ, which is pretty consistent with most teams. Big fan of Lockhart, but he’s not quite right since the restart. I’d be tempted to bring back Rivers or Jones.

Loved Langdon’s game. If you need convincing of the importance of the wingman’s role (Goody included), watch the very first goal of the game to Gunston, and how Brayshaw gets sucked in and they just spread it to the wing to Scully and goal time. After that, not only did we shut it down defensively, but Langdon was always an option, and barely made a wrong decision with the ball. Loving the balance it brings to our game.
