  1. We played with no intensity in that game and got exactly what we deserved. Not sure how you could possibly paint that as anything other than a disastrous performance.
  2. Not doing himself any favours old Harley. I really want him to have a good run at it next year, but I can't help but feel the club have gone cold on him and might move him on with list size restrictions. This incident won't help his chances. Interestingly in the Hell and Back series, there was mention about the club asking him to give up the booze for a while from memory? Not suggesting that was still the case, but interesting nonetheless given this incident is being reported as alcohol related.
  3. I don’t really care about an [censored] squeeze or the finger up the date, but the worst bit is it is at 3 quarter time with our season on the line. Of course Essendon piled on a few goals straight after that very break as well.
  4. Walters out tips it even further in the dogs favour. They are a good side this year imo, and I can’t see them dropping this the way they are playing. But fingers crossed the Dockers at least put them under some pressure and make them earn it.
  5. I thought the Pies were the most likely to drop out, but that’s gone now. GC really could have won this with a bit more composure. That Holman play on in the goal square to put them in front right on 3 quarter time summed it up.
  6. Out of our 3 ways in, I always considered the dogs the least likely. And even then, if they were to drop a game, it will be against Freo, not Hawthorn.
  7. All depends on the compensation for me. Keeping in mind if we went after a free agent ourselves, that would dilute the compensation. I would imagine he is highly paid, given he was captain up until this year and is a restricted free agent, so if he leaves, I imagine it would be a pretty healthy contract that could result in a decent pick.
  8. Shorter quarters can only stay if they make it 16 v 16 in my opinion, but obviously that’s a massive change. 18 v 18 in shorter quarters is the main reason for disgusting congested low scoring this year.
  9. We have had too many players drop away sharply this year and last, and sadly I can’t see many of them getting back to where they were previously. Im thinking guys like TMac, Melksham, Brayshaw, Harmes, Jetta, VDB, Fritsch, Jones. And nobody has emerged from the pack besides last year’s draftees. So many on the chopping block who have not been able to step up like Baker, Wagner x 2, Dunkley, Bedford, Hunt, Hannan, Chandler etc.
  10. Michael Voss took the Brisbane job with no experience. He started well (finals first year) but then faded. He’s now done a lengthy apprenticeship and might be ready to take the reigns again. Ross Lyon is obviously an option. Clarkson too if he is open to it.
  11. I mentioned it earlier, but basically said a) we have a lot of average players, who he named and it’s hard to disagree and b) said our good players (Petracca, Viney, Oliver etc.) lifted, but only as individuals, rather than lifting as a collective and doing the team things. Cant disagree with either point tbh.
  12. Garry nails it yet again. Summary: - Too many average players - Good players play as individuals ie they lift individually when the game is on the line, but don’t lift as a collective and do the team things
  13. I’m seriously [censored] salty over the last 5 days, like most of us. I might go to the Gabba on saturday for the Goody farewell tour.
  14. Fritsch dumb. Rivers slow and lazy chasing. Gawn sloppy. That’s just such a [censored] goal to cough up.
  15. It was in the first quarter when Fyfe got pushed as well
  16. I know the type. Good sledger and tells good jokes on the sidelines while we are in bat. To be fair, those players are worth their weight in gold in cricket.
  17. I don’t know where to start. Fumbles, overusing it, not having players downfield to contest when we do finally clear our lines, no run in attack or defence to create or shut down easy options. Just [censored]. Our only saving grace is that Freo have kept us in it with some shocking finishing work.
  18. It’s amazing how some players look incapable of taking even simple chest marks in the wet. Weideman and Lever are two who come straight to mind.
  19. This is dire. Even in the wet, they can get into space and create uncontested marks all day.
  20. Finally a team with a bit of run. No pressure lads, but there is no time to adjust or build form, just need to hit the ground running.
  21. Watching Essendon is the perfect remedy for the blues I've got after Thursday's game. At least we aren't them is all I will say.
  22. If Collingwood lose to Gold Coast, that would also leave the door ajar. Gold Coast are no easy beats this year, and I'm still not keen on Collingwood's form.
  23. I get that, but there are losses where you just aren't good enough, like the doggies game or the Brisbane game, and then there is whatever that was on Thursday. An incredibly flat performance 4 games out from finals with our destiny in our own hands. And it's a recurring theme throughout the years, so it's no wonder people ask the question.
