The top 30 yielded Pavlich, Corey, Glass, Murphy, Green and J. Brown as a F/S. Players outside the top 30 include; Chapman, Giansiracusa, Davis, Ling, Hille, Gilbee, Enright, Bateman, Whelan, O'Keefe, Ben Johnson, Bruce and Hargrave. Ah, that distracted me from our horrendous injury list for a little while.

Brad Green was pick 19. And for every quality player after pick 50 you name, I could probably find at least two that are not/never were. Liam Jurrah's case cannot be used because of the circumstances of him entering the draft. Did you have high expectations of Aaron Davey in 2003? Or when we picked up Bruce from MHSOB in 99? I doubt it.

I think you're joking if you say you didn't see glimpses in the Essendon game. Aside from their run on in the first quarter and a bit of a fade out in the last (after a 5 day break) we controlled much of the game I thought. A lack of a forward structure killed us but our midfield was on top and the players were generally backing themselves when they had the footy.

Haha good pick up. Roost, it's a bit of a worry that one of your favourite players is an uncapped Port Adelaide player! As for Rivers, without injuries in the team I'm not sure I'd have him in - that's just me though. I can see his value and see no reason why he can't get back into the best 18/22 in my view.

Does anyone know how we rank in terms of goals-inside 50 ratio? I remember hearing last year that we were up there. If our midfield improves the way we think it will and if Garland can make the transition from back to forward (if that's what Bailey intends) then perhaps all is not lost
