No Warnock, Prismall, CJ, Hislop, Nick Nat, etc

I've must have missed something about this kid (?), but do we really want to draft a bloke who has been in prison for the majority of the year? Or have I completely missed the joke ?? -
I acknowledged this by stating it was a decent idea, or did you miss that part? So, what do you do for a living? Something tells me you're going to continue to avoid that particular question. Your whole post is about existing members 'signing up' other people, it's exactly what your post is referring to. Now you're playing the victim. If you honestly think that your suggestions shouldn't be questioned then an internet forum is not for you. Where did I suggest that we do nothing? Once again playing the victim does not win arguments. Increasing our income via encouraging the existing members to buy extra memberships like this does not build a sustainable future. Sure it may be a one off success but would you expect/demand everyone to do the same the following year, and the year after that? Where would it end? We need to grow the membership base, not get more money out of the existing. What we're doing at Casey is far more valuable to our long term sustainability than a membership drive like this one could ever be.

Redleg, what do you do for a living? Do you realise that the majority of the world are currently in a recession or close to it? Industries like car manufacturing, finance, housing etc are on the brink of collapse, many people are either losing their jobs or there is a bloody strong chance of it happening. Companies are pulling back from all types of sponsorships and they're slashing costs all all levels of their businesses to brace themselves for what's coming. With all of this on peoples minds how do you expect a family of four who have just scrapped enough togethor to pay for their own family membership suddenly pull an extra $1,000 out of their arses to afford an extra four memberships? Sure, it's a decent idea but you sound like an overpaid lawyer who has no idea of the real world, the average aussie is doing it bloody tough right now.

This is exactly what I mean, the expectaions on the kid is that he will be a superstar. Of course I hope he does live up to the hype, but i also hope he has the character to handle the pressure as well.
-
Has there been any other Melbourne player over the last 40 years who has as much pressure to perform as there currently is/will be on Jack Watts?
-
The phrase 'go walkabout' can be taken as an offensive remark so can we please try to avoid this in our discussions cheers
-
This kid could be the biggest steal of the draft, and as for taking mature players in the psd, I'd much prefer going down our path. Jurrah looks bloody exciting!!

Someone mentioned the new 'CC' but that statement is incorrect, CC has always been like this, even going back to his playing days. My old man was good friends with him during his days at the old Victoria College Rusden campus (which turned into Deakin and then into apartments). He was always very passionate about anything he did. Along with Schwab and Stynes they make a very formidable team.

This is a bad year to realise the losses that the Pies have just done because next year it's going to be bloody hard. Regardless I'm more interested in what we're going to do, even though it would make me smile watching them struggle.
-
Right now he is behind Rivers, Garland, Warnock and Martin - 5 key defenders in the one team just doesn't work. Garland going up going forward and possibly Martin pinch hitting further up the ground may give Frawley a chance but I doubt it would be a long term scenario. There's always injuries I guess. Depth player?
-
He didn't get alot of game time because they wanted to manage his injuries properly, when fully fit he wins alot of the ball apparently

The clips were from the game when VM absolutely dominated WA, it was rare for any of the WA kids to get out on their own. He reminds me a bit of a young Farmer but without the sublime skill that Jeff had. He loves a scrap and is more than prepared to take others on, surprisingly good overhead. Can't wait to see what Bailey does with this kid.
-
He spoke very well for a very young kid

Alot of the 'experts' have said that although there are soem very good kpp's the quality really dropped off after the first round, so with that in mind I think we've done the right thing. I'ev heard a couple of recruiters say that this is the draft to build up your midfield.

I got the info from Matt Burgan's phantom draft, and I presume so did Maher
-
From Burgan's phantom draft "69 – BRISBANE LIONS – ROHAN BAIL Mt Gravatt, QLD, Medium midfielder, 19 years old, 183cm, 91kg (Draft range: 65-not selected) A non-NAB AFL Draft Camp or state-screening invitee, Bail has done it the hard way. He represented the senior Queensland state side against Western Australia this year and also finished fourth in the Grogan Medal, the AFLQ's best-and-fairest award. Originally from Victoria, Bail has attracted strong interest in recent weeks, with the Lions the likely destination. But don't dismiss Carlton, Essendon or St Kilda with one of their last selections" "Age: 19 Height: 183cm Weight: 91kg Club: Mt Gravatt, QLD Bio: Bail is a medium midfielder/winger who shone in the AFLQ as a 19-year-old this year. He represented Queensland against Western Australia and also finished fourth in the Grogan Medal, the AFLQ's best and fairest award. "

Bennell is not an unknown, Westcoast were very interested in taking him as well.

Very, very happy with picking up Jetta, I've been on his bandwagon all year, woohoo!! http://forums.demonland.com/index.php?show...mp;#entry162452

And what a wonderful opportunity it is too. Hopefully both parties will benefit greatly out of st.Kilda's incompetence

It read, 'may' to me. Regardless how does anyone know what Watts will become? All they definitely know is what he is right now, and clearly that is that Watt is not a power forward. Reiwoldt, Jon Brown and all the other gun forwards I can think of were considered to be power forwards even before they were drafted. The decision is alot closer than most here believes it to be.
-
Interesting comment from BP about Watts not baing a 'power forward', clearly they have some doubts that he will become one. I wonder if this is a sign? I think the decision was alot closer than most here think it is.
-
Disgraceful article, Harvey was misquoted which completely changed the meaning of his statement. What he said was something like, "It's not that Melbourne has gone cold on watts, it's just I hear they're impressed with Naitanui." Basically it's a 'nothing to see here, move along' type situation.

Nathan Brown to play with Casey Scorpions next year

Couldn't find a better bloke than brown dog, welcome back browny!! -
This is how I remember it happening as well. Grant made the initial decision to return home and then a deal with Schwass was struck.

The delisted player who has caused the most amount of interest this year is Chris Johnson. Irony is a [censored]
