Someone had Sylvia in their votes as well....but his problem isn't just decision making, his skills aren't great and it's the reason why most people were surprised that we picked him up in the first round.
-
This is where you got it from James Frawley: (18 disposals, 4 contested possessions, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 96%). http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/hawk...ge#contentSwap2 But just think about it for one second...how could you possibly get a rating of 96% from 18 disposals? Clearly no matter how you think look at it they've made an error. Sadly Frawley did not have a great game disposal wise. Was he better than previous years? Yes, but he's still behind a fit Rivers, Warnock, Garland and Martin. I'll be rapt if he can turn things around but there are other players who I think are just better footballers. But please don't try to sell the lie that he has great disposal.

Pretty poor error to make and anyone with half a brain should be able to pick it up. For someone to get 96% then they would need 25 touches with only one error, and as it's well known how many touches he got... If you're goign to use stats to win in a debate then you should at the very least check to see if they're correct. 72% puts Frawley in the bottom third efficiency rating for the team, and that is not very good.

It's also complete crap

Fair point, i still stand by what I posted, Morton2Watts' figures are wrong http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...5014368,00.html Nothing like making things up to prove your point, still 72% also seems a little high
-
The efficiency rating doesn't tell you if the disposal was to a player in a good, bad or worse position. I prefer to make my analysis on what I see on the ground, not the figures on a pice of paper afterwards. Watch the game again.

His disposal wasn't that good

A poor kick will probably result in a turn over regardless of it being long, short or something inbetween. Sadly we have a list full of blokes who kick poorly under pressure.

Bateman is a gun and would easily be our best midfielder, he always cuts us up
-
I've been going on about a lack of key forwards for the last 3 years, so much so that I think that anyone who has been visiting this site during that time got fed up with my whinging. Sadly it's right though. Miller does his best work up the ground, PJ is a battler, Bate is ok but not the answer, Newton is Newton and Watts is currently a match stick. Watts will be a gun but we need at least another two to get the best out of him. There's no point in only having one good forward, it's just too easy to defend.

Really? Where do you live, Vladivostok?

Melbourne's reputation in the AFL is for apathetic supporters, congratulations for doing your work to keep up the image.

Wise, this year we're playing for something more important than a premiership, we're playing for our survival. Everytime we play a game, whether it be a practice, Nab cup or a Home & away game we're being judged. By supporters who will decided whether to buy a membership and turn up the followign week, by potential sponsors and by the AFL I'm not expecting to make the finals but we need to be competitve and fight out games
-
I'm sorry H, I take everything I said back
-
I disagree, we should have won the game
-
That was a friggen terrible game, even when we were in front it was becaue the Hawks weren't trying. We have too many players with poor skills, ie Frawley, Bell, Bartram, PJ, Dunn, Newton...bah, makes me mad just thinking about it. If we continue like this pencil us in for last

lol, I know where you're coming from. Really supporting the club over the last decade has been soul destroying because around the 2000 season we had a decent team that just needed a few tweaks and adjustments. Since then we've all watched the cub being mis-managed on every single level, both on the ground and off it. I would have taken the username Jaded however I don't think the real Jaded would have appreciated it, nothing worse than an upset chick, trust me I've been there... The way I know view the club (and it's the only way that keeps me from dropping the sport altogether because of the shitte we've witnessed over the last decade) is that it's starting afresh. The old 'draw a line in the sand' crap. We can't get any worse and we'll have a group of talnted kids coming through. I'm not expecting them to finish anywhere but last this year so I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the game. I'll give Bailey, Stynes & co a chance with the knowledge that if we screw up this time we probably won't survive it. It sucks but it's reality. My last post was harsh but I know you're robust enough to accept it in the spirit it was meant and not take it personally.

Even better, google earth it. Put's it all into perspective

A business like North isn't really a money making customer for a bank
-
You couldn't be further from the truth, the big 4 Aussie banks are all doing very well right now, you watch them post record profits this financial year.

Many years ago I played little league for Melbourne against the Saints at Waverley. I was at fullback and the St.Kilda cheer squad were getting into us, a group of 10-12 y/o's. It ws a truly bizarre experience watching a group of drunk middle aged idiots mouthing off at a couple of kids.

The majority of the people who would believe that stereotype wouldn't have the faintest idea of the meaning of the word Maverick. Most of them would think it meant an American fighter pilot...

For the love of god please don't make me read any more of your shite

Do you honestly think that guys like Morton, Petterd, Grimes, Maric, McLean, Spencer and Garland are boring? If the answer is positive then I suggest you ban yourself from anything relating to football & the MFC for at least three years until Watt's and co mature. Edit - I forgot Wona, that's 8 kids to be genuinely excited about
