The frightening thing about us starting at $12.00 for tomorrow's game is the fact that we were at $8.00 for the same game last year. Does this mean we're going to lose by 279 points?

Is that what you call a "green finger"?

That could make it a tie for Mystery Injury of the Week between Stef and Beamer. Neither was on the injury list from earlier in the week. On top of that Dan Nicholson was suspended for drinking while in rehab but not on the injured list and Aaron Davey wasn't selected to play for either MFC or Casey this weekend. Glad we recruited the best sports scientists in the land to ensure our list stayed healthy.

Take your pick:- • Demons struck by cholera epidemic • Melbourne's Dan Nicholson suspended by club for a week for drinking while in rehab • Al Quaeda affiliate signs on as new jumper sponsor for Demons. "They fit our wholsome image, "

But it becomes a factor if the team's preparation is even partly affected by a major distraction. I would class the arrest and gaoling of a team mate and the serious charges that followed to be in that category.

Well, I'll be battered on both sides! Throughout the summer the media have been suggesting that GWS would make the AFL's highest paid infant at the very least a co-captain. Suddenly, he's out of favour and others will get the gong - GIANTS SET TO REJECT VOLDEMORT I wonder why?

Clint Bartram?

Well, this was raised and dismissed previously but with a new coach and a blank canvas there are no preconceived notions. This tweet came from James Frawley's twitter- "Playing forward this year. Prob kick 100!!" Great idea if Sellar's move to defence is a success. Could free Chip to help up forward! Then a later tweet- "Sorry people hacked again by @tom_couch. Wish I could swing forward occasionally though! Ha" But is it so funny?

Capital idea and a magnificent example of lateral thinking. Fevola not longer has the attributes that made him a Coleman Medallist but he still has the size, strength and athleticism to take on the opposition's best defender to free up Mitch Clark to play on the stiffs and kick big bags of goals. The idea is that we let our most damaging attacker play where he can be most damaging. Clark can beat any defender but a lot of those players, especially as the game changes to more long bombs forward, can be stopped by big, yet slightly less talented players. Why waste Clark on a job that Fevola can do? We need the Fev to help us play as a team, where individual players play specific roles within the team attack. Let's do it!

Narrowing in on either Grimes or Trengove for Captain

The players went out and lost by 186 points which is definitely a unique way to display their loyalty to the coach and how happy they were with him. -
Carlton took Jeff Garlett with pick 6 in the same rookie draft. Maybe we should have picked him too?

Protest upheld. Driefontein wins.

I'll give you the news. Trengove's sister would have beaten Scully too! -
Were they so long ago? The month that was: September The month that was: October

Changes for Perth? Watson, if fit replaces Cowan or Marsh and if he can bowl his inclusion means the bowlers used in the first two tests all play? Wicketkeeper?

What about this brilliant actor portraying an old Australian bodgie:

According to the club website: -
This really must be the quiet time of the year but he should be good for Norwood. I wonder if Aussie will join him. He was at Norwood when rookied. The SANFL Redlegs could be in for a good season. They've also recruited the delisted Carlton rookie Jaryd Cachia and Port Melbourne Premiership player Nathan Batsanis.

I think in its in the public interest to discuss the Prime Minister's wage of $485k p.a. At first, I considered this to be an obscenity and then I thought about it and when I took into account that one AFL footballer with a wonky knee is going to take home $2m next year and his old man is going to get $2k per week watching 17 & 18 y.os running around on the weekend, I came to the conclusion that Julia's pay is just about right.

I'm going to be in town in early January. How do I find out the times and venues for training?
-
Tiwi struggling and unfortunately, the game looks like becoming a blowout. Food sounds good.
-
Yeah ... apparently 90% ... well actually 60%. Temperature 32 degrees. Tiwis trailing by 4 goals closing in on half time after putting up a bit of a fight and hitting the lead early in the second quarter. The weather's a lot different to what it was for Aussie's last game at Casey Fields in August and i'm not sure he wants to return to Melbourne anyway.

Report from the game that Austin doesn't look fit and late in the first quarter had no impact on the game. Can't expect too much at this stage but he does look to have left his run too late.

Surely you wouldn't fly a kid halfway across the continent for one training session if you didn't intend to draft him?
