Happy New Year to all on Demonland
There’s one yellow and blue umbrella and everything else in that photo is red and blue. Tunnel vision. Happy new year to all ‘landers. Lets hope it’s the year of the Dees.

Congratulations Max
Congrats to both Gawny and Jessica. Wonderful news. Hopefully any babies aren’t conceived this time of year, potentially arriving around grand final time.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I like a good game of charades. It would have to beat what the riddler put out last year.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I applaud your protecting a newbie poster Luci, but if I’ve got to wait 1001 years to see another flag per his username, I’ll be [censored] off.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Great post Steve. I believe it's questionable however as to whether it was intoxication that was the cause of Maxy spewing on $cumbag. I think it's just another example of good judgement.

Tom McDonald Presser (14/12)
The bloke standing next to him with the microphone is a dead ringer for Dom Tyson. Is this a different spying tactic?

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
He barracks for Collingwood Jane, I'm sure he's got a suitcase full of regrets to choose from.

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
Call in sick. We used to take our family holidays in the September school holidays. No holidays anymore. They’ll get over it eventually.

We’re going to win the Flag next year - what do you do when we do?
They might change the logo in the future, but the version in place when we win our next flag will never date (imv).

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
Which - the Essendon jumper, the amart logo or the Essendon jumper with the amart logo on it. It’s pretty hard to fix a crappy jumper with a small image in the corner.

AFL Ladder predictor
Gees the two Sydney teams must have tough draws to not even have the Giants in the top 12 and Sydney 11th.
-
2019 Fixture
The AFL are still trying to work out how to give us a 6 day break to the next game despite the fact it takes 9 months travel time
-
2019 Fixture
We played them twice in 2016 as well, only about 47K turned up to the round 4 game. I won't be expecting a bumper crowd to our home game with them.
-
2019 Fixture
We don't do too badly compared to them Jim We've got 2 blockbuster games, 9 night games as well (Wed (1), Thurs (1), Fri (3), Sat (4)); we play 7 interstate games to their 5 (our 2 NT games the difference), we both play the eagles and tigers twice.
-
2019 Fixture
Disappointed the QB and Anzac eve games are both away. It would have been good to alternate 1 as a home game each yr.
-
2019 Fixture
The good: We've got 9 night games (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat = good for exposure), one trip to Perth. The bad: We've got a four day break before the Anzac eve game, and the worst draw of the top 6 teams last year for playing the top 6 teams twice. The below list shows the ladder positions last year for the teams the top 6 play twice. We have the worst of the lot, playing 4 of the top 6 teams twice. How the Swans get to play Carlton twice is beyond me. Tigers (1) 3,5,7,10,18 Eagles (2) 3,4,5,12,14 Pies (3) 1, 2, 5, 11, 13 Hawks (4) 2,7, 8, 9, 15 Dees (5) 1,2,3,6,16 Swans (6) 5,7,8,11,18

Demonland Podcast with Josh Mahoney TONIGHT 14/11 @ 8:30pm
Given the somewhat recent shift in contracted players demanding a trade to their club of choice, I'd be interested in understanding how the club determines whether contracted/required players are comfortable at the club or quietly/actively looking elsewhere. It seems to me the Beams trade was flagged late and caught Brisbane unaware - how do we ensure we minimise the risk of being blindsided and negotiate best value for players wanting to leave.
