  1. They earn the home final because they have finished higher than the team they are about to play and have just come off playing an away final against a higher ranked team where 5th/6th if they win have just come off a home final against a lower ranked team. Why should collingwood get 2 home finals and get to play against weaker opposition than a team that finished 3rd? You're argument couldn't be more wrong. It's laughable!!!
  2. Could someone please post the results on here as my computer wont let me open up any PDF files. As much detail as possible would be great. Thanks.
  3. That's why i wrote their team this year. Because i knew if i didn't write that someone would have tried to correct me.
  4. I wouldnt like the dees chances if that backline came up against a St. Kilda side of this year or any team with big bodies up forward. Who would have taken Kosi, the G-train and St Nick? Just food for though.
  5. The first draft pick will get it. The future at the top: Buckley, Jones, #4 draft pick
  6. Weetra will be Heath Neville in 12 months.
  7. I reckon it will be S. Martin, Paterakis, Martyn and Hughes
  8. Palmer wont be that good. One good game in the championships doesn't mean you'll turn out a superstar - Fergus Watts. Palmer doesn't seem to have any strengths that will dominate at AFL level; not the tall, big, quick, exceptional disposal etc. Definately will be drafted but i dont think is worthy of using the dees number 4 pick on.
  9. I know that mate, but he was pending a fitness test. Wasn't right so didn't play. Same with Frawley. They didnt train till friday arvo.
  10. I'm tipping some sort of disciplinary reasons. Still injured, named to play but pulled out on Friday afternoon. Wasn't emergancy. Was still injured.
  11. Why does everyone rate Frawley? I dont understand????
  12. I dont think that is the actually photo of the player. Don't think someone of that size would be getting a game with Tasmania.
  13. Hurn plays in a back pocket. Very, very rarely has he had a run in the midfield. He's a good player though, strong bodied and very tough. For me: Selwood, Pendlebury, Jones, Higgins, LeCras. I think the fact that Jones isn't getting has much hype is because he sort of "arrived" last season. I know Pendlebury did too but he had less impact in a worse team last year. And Pendlebury plays for Collingwood - always publicity there.
  14. Yeah but im pretty sure this was on competition day???? There's a bit of a difference between playing with Cocaine in your system and having it the night/day after a game and then getting tested midweek.
  15. So the only way you really made a profit was by putting a reasonable size bet on the favourite because that's what the papers/media said, not you. I could have won more than you be simply picking up the paper the morning of the brownlow and putting $150 on whoever was the favourite, without watching a minute of game time. P.S. What i've noticed about the votes you give this year and last is that you always vote too high for the "guns". I think you look out for the big names too much which is why you give alot of the well known players more votes than they actually end up with. Just a thought.
  16. You didn't answer his question...
  17. Seems to be a very biased, one-eyed Melbourne review. Sandy's midfield won the clearances and the Sandy players you mentioned (Summers, Valenti) have been the dominant midfielders in the competition. They ran out of legs a bit due to the rotations not working as was planned. I suggest you watch each week and then come to your conclusion. PS. Howat was ordinary.
  18. Frawley has been ordinary at best! He didnt earn a game and just got them given to him because of how poor melbourne have been.
  19. Why do you people persist with Frawley? He has shown absolutely nothing and is a genuine [censored] at the moment. If he is in the dees best 22 next year at any stage look forward to another dissapointing year.
  20. I mean a Geelong VFL 2's like Sandringham have a 2's side. If you're not playing VFL ones for Geelong then you play your local team (torquay, warnabool, whatever etc.), therefore they have less people trying to play soley for the VFL team because there is less chance of getting a game at Geelong and you would be going back and forth between the VFL and your local club. Making sense?
  21. Geelong doesn't have a 2's side so they dont have many pleyers pushing through or supporting the ones. And with Geelong going so well and with very few injuries they only have 5 or 6 VFL players playing each week. It would be pretty hard for them to bring in another 4 or 5 players who haven't played much/if at all into their finals side. It's about as fair as it can be.
  22. 10 clangers which probably lose you 4 or 5 points each, maybe even 6 or 7. Im sure someone could find the exact amount. There is a few points there.
  23. Captain: Neitz Vice captain: Green, Bruce, Brock, Junior Coach: Connelly Delisted/Retired players: Neville, Warnock, Ward, Jamar, Miller, Brown, Bizzel, Pickett First draft pick: Cotchin Football manager: Lyon 07 Bluey: Jonesy
  24. Garland pulled out cos he was sick, not because melbourne wanted him to. And i think Williams did not make mention of Valenti doing a pre-season because it is a given. I think they could both easily play AFL next year but i think it would be unlikely the dees would take both. If they were on Melbournes list this year they certainly would have played plenty of footy for them this year. But for me i'd go Valenti first, purely for the age factor.
