Changes v St Kilda
Out - T Smith, J Smith & Vince In - Weideman, Frost, Stretch

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
FCS play Frost in the same position as Tim Smith. Taller, faster, stronger. He’d certainly provide a far better Ruck option. I’ll bet my footy knowledge that Frost will play a lot more AFL games than Tim Smith. If it were me though, Frost comes in for either J Smith or Vince.

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Frost is a hell of a better AFL prospect than Tim Smith who is barely VFL level. Great comment regarding the ridiculously premature line put through Lynden Dunn who is now a Top 6 AFL key defender. I hope these fools don’t do the same to Frost who is just so young, big, strong & athletic that he must be persevered with over bloody Tim Smith.

Why success is improvement
BillyBlanks29, your choice of favourite players really says it all. You’d probably give them all a hug and a ribbon for just turning up. FCS FO.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
Gaff is younger and is physically sound. Gaff every day of the week.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
Sloane is a sliding A Grader & Gaff is an improving A Grader. Gaff is younger, healthier and would probably win the Brownlow if it were counted today. To top it off, Gaff is more of what we need I would take Gaff well & truly ahead of Sloane.

Filling the hole left by Jake Lever’s injury
I don’t want any debutants (Keilty or Petty) on Queens Birthday. Lever replacement must come from either Frost, Hunt, Wagner or J Smith. Debut Keilty against a bottom 4 side, not the Filth on QB.

Changes vs Adelaide
I expect that because the game is in Alice Springs and we have totally committed to this NT thing then they’ll drop Spargo for Garlett. I will find it very disappointing but Can’t have Eddie Betts hogging all the indigenous limelight.

Gerard Whately is a Moron
Okay enough. This is just stupid.

Gerard Whately is a Moron
This has to be the most ridiculous post in many years. I just can’t imagine what sort of meaningless life one would have to lead to allow such an insignificant comment by a sports journalist that has to fill 19 hours of microphone time per week to upset them in the slightest.

Changes Vs Essendon
Have got to the point where I just can’t afford the time to travel & watch suburban grade footballers like, Harmes, ANB, Stretch, Wagner, Kent & Garlett. By the way, would the fools on this site that continually go into raptures after Garlett plays his one good quarter every 4 weeks please see him for exactly what he is: an absolute cat. Some of us on this site have been calling for only players with genuine leg speed, good decision making and kicking skills to be recruited for the last 2 Drafts now, but oh no, we continually have to select one paced mids who can’t kick the footy. And we can finally say the Tyson & Salem for Picks 2 (Kelly or Bontimpelli or Cripps) & 20 ( You don’t want to see the number of very good players taken at Pick 20 or after) is a FAIL. My last point is that before all the sycophants and eternal optimists start raving on about the Recruiting guy and Josh Mahoney and Todd Viney, just look at the terrible depth and weaknesses in our list DESPITE having so many more early picks over the last 5 years than Richmond, Adelaide, West Coast, North Melb etc, etc who continually finish higher than us every year.

Josh Wagner
Hey, Magner, Maynard. Not too much difference in ability, even you’d have to agree.
-
Josh Wagner
Wagner a beast. Wow, what rubbish! And NO, the coaches don’t always know better than all the keyboard warriors. If Demonland selected the side, we’d be 3 - 0. Still can’t believe that they picked Magner and didn’t select Frost & Tyson from Round 1. The same lot cost us games early last year when they refused for weeks to select Pederson. The same lot made a horribly short sighted decision to rush Viney back, look how that’s working out! Just because you’re a manager or a coach doesn’t mean you’re always right. Those on here that continually say, ‘in Goodwin, we totally trust” are too easily pleased.

Be Patient with Lever
It would certainly be stupid to HATE something so prematurely that you have paid such a high price for! It is plain lazy for those that promoted the Lever at any cost argument to call those that wanted him, but not at the cost of ruling us out of a first round pick for 2 years, haters.
- How do we STOP Ben Brown?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
A nice player and worth a Pick 10 - 15 and 4 years at $600k. I'd be developing Joel Smith and using early picks on outside mids who can seriously run & kick.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Absolutely correct Diamond Jim. Lever was ok, in a side which dominated. Not in their best 15 players.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Ridiculous comment, you won't find one football person outside of the MFC family claiming that Melbourne won this trade. The best we'll get is that "whilst it doesn't look good now, it was deal that PERHAPS the Dees had to do at the time due to their pathetic situation. If you don't believe that we wouldn't have made finals this year with Kelly or Bontimpelli at the Dees instead of Tyson & Salem, then you have no idea. The facts are we could've taken Kelly or Bont with Pick 2 and Hunt with Pick 20. If you say Hunt was a stretch at 20, then do what other Clubs have done and turn 20 into 30 & 48 so you get your speculative pick because you know he'll be there. Your defense of Tyson will look silly when Maynard pushes him to Casey next year and Salem's lack of intensity and fierce desire has him at Casey with him.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
RPFC, aren't you forgetting we also gave away Pick 20 in this deal. Even now only the diehard Dees supporters are defending this trade. Tyson, slow & one sided. Salem lacks intensity, lacks leg speed and I'm not sure about his desire to build a midfield type engine, just a neat half back flanker. Roos with his one premiership by less than a kick, despite all the advantages enjoyed by the Swans is not always right.

Tom McDonald?
Trade Tom Mac & keep Frost.

3dee read the post. I said he is a captain, not the captain. You must be fun to live with!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
May is a 26 yo key defender who is a Captain of his Club. Some guys here believe he is the answer to our defensive problems, yet believe that we could get him for a 2nd rounder & a de-list in Kent. GC would want our first rounder plus a Tyson or maybe our 3rd rounder for the points. I would also estimate that May would not want a penny less than $2.8 to $3 million over 4 years. Must say I'm a little concerned about the 193 cm. Purely based on priorities, it's a NO from me, I want the 200 cm forward/ruck and 2 x quick, skilful, precise kicking outside mids.
