  1. Sounds like something to do with an orgy, as usual with footballers. Well anyway, i'll start my own nickname then. I'm pretty happy this week that 'Please sir I want some more' has been selected
  2. I'd prefer him to play at the MCG and look at the best teams zone defence than over at Port where he needs to run all day and play a team that has a basic bottom level defence. Hawthorn might be a very valuable experience Hell, even with low odds of winning v Hawthorn every year, they are my most anticipated game when its at the G. I don't get to see Hawthorn often, but i like seeing how the best set up. I'm sure Wiedemann would anticipate the same thing, rather than be afraid of being bashed to smithereens. (Please stay away from Luke Hodge my sweet prince)
  3. Maybe we don't need to ask TMAC if he's happy, but if he thinks our defence needs time to develop or if we need to bring in a KPD Maybe his financial contentment is tied to the years he's put in and his confidence in our current defence needing a year or two more development rather than throwing big money at someone who hasn't done as much hard work at OUR club to get the payoff. and maybe he feels his brothers position in the side is directly tied to Hurleys. I would hazarrd a guess and say Tom might have just as much confidence in the current defence developing into a premiership contention level over the next few years, as we have of the midfield and attack. I can empathise with him have having even a grain of frustration
  4. Rance! TMac! Hurley! You put your KPD in You put your KPD out You put your KPD in And you offer him all around You do the KPD pokie And you trade em around That's what it's all about
  5. Dawes for Daw is the trade that has cosmic implications. A trade that has been waiting many millenia to synchronistically appear. I believe it's a message, It is fate. It is Majak Just saw afl 360 with Michael Barlow talking about doing podcasts and his career post footy, he's only 28. Seems like a good bloke and mature leader we could use for 2 or 3 years and depth at worse to replace the other non-future depth. What do we think of him?
  6. Maybe we should measure our clubs success in how early the trade forum is opened. This year it will probably be open one or two weeks later. Hopefully next year it's opened sometime in September.
  7. How many tree's would have to die in order to publish a book about all of the melbourne trades that never came to fruition?
  8. I'd choose Majak Daw's.......... body to undergo experimental gene splicing therapy with Nathan Jones' blood, to mutate and increase Majaks Football IQ James Hird was a lightweight.
  9. I wouldn't say Robbo is so unprofessional as to have been drinking while on 360, but i can definitely see the long term effects it has on his speed of recall and the split second it takes to put the right words to his thoughts
  10. Is it just me or does it seem like Mike Sheehan attends a lot of ex-player parties? Is Mike Sheehan a well known socialite?
  11. Hurley and Hibberd is enough. I don't think we need to continue the draft pick upheaval until we've seen how we go from there the following year with a more solid defence. We should keep our options open in regards to what we need in 2018, we may need a forward and a midfielder/defender and having two first rounds (2017+2018) to work with will be more helpful. This begs the question, Who is most likely to be available at the end of 2017? Any nostradamus' in the forum?
  12. Richmond should look at hiring Dean Solomon or Dean Wallace as head coach, can't have enough ex-essendon premiership thug defenders that didn't have to do any defending. This turned into a demon sledge too :/
  13. Maybe they need to get rid of Brendan Gale, for all of his purported attributes post-footy, what kind of culture does he bring to the table when he was a part of a Richmond side in the 90's that did nothing? On looking, in 95 and 01, they lost the qualifying finals by over 34 and 70 points. won the semi final the following week by under 20 points, and got belted in the prelims by 89 and 68 respectively
  14. I blame Chris Dawes for not providing an adequate and fast link up between the mids and the forwards.
  15. I just meant, anyone could come up with an idea for a trade in a thread and a few weeks later someones mate will be talking about hearing some inside goss at the water cooler about said club. TMAC for Jeremy McGovern. You heard it here first, and you'll be hearing it again from someones mate later who's wife's cousin does Trever Nisbetts (WCE CEO) wifes hair at a perth salon. She's a gossiper old Mrs Nisbett, almost as bad as Tom Harley
  16. The 9/10 winning streak and the last round away v Sydney win to make the 8 remains the highlight of their era. I'll admit, it had me jumping off cheering for the Tiges. They really got ass-raped a week later though
  17. It's amazing how TMAC for TOM MITCH gets thrown up a month earlier and then all of a sudden you get people coming out of the woodwork saying their mates mate knows someone high up in sydney that can confirm an offer has been made.
  18. I'm sick of comments like these. Drugs aren't taken in a vacuum, they effect performance. Their 2012 performance at the beginning of the year and the subsequent confidence they got from knowing they could beat everyone was a direct result of their performance being enhanced by drugs. This idea that they were building into a side that could challenge for a premiership without the asterix, that it was all wonderful jimmy hirds recruiting and coaching, is an illusion - It can never be seperated from the drug use and can never be attributed to their list. As you saw above, the 'subsequent confidence' is the important factor. If they hadn't of taken the drugs, they might not have gone on a winning streak in 12 and they might not have gone anywhere near the 8 in 13 or 14. Knowing you can beat everyone would do wonders for the confidence for years to come, and that's exactly how they cheated. If they hadn't of taken drugs, maybe they'd be on the bottom for 2 or 3 years and most of their list would be delisted players without any collateral.
  19. Oh the benefits of employing an asst coach from a wooden spoon team. So much access. Maybe we should hire Adem the Yze as head coach and recruit some A grade kicking B graders that know the Hawk system. Brendan White cross come on down.
  20. They'll start the bidding high so when they settle for demanding a 2nd round with a few hours before the deadline, we'll think its a good deal
  21. Bombers fans already giving us a bit of stick. 4 years too much for a player who hadn't been in his career best form pre-ban. "Hibberd would be crazy to turn down 4 years" Wish him all the best as they like how he plays, but not worth the risk is the common line again. Obviously Hurley is the only one that could generate any emotional response from them (and me)
  22. Is he contracted for next year and staying or will he be delisted? He hasn't played seniors for a long time
  23. Can anyone confirm the rumour that Dean Terlich has requested a trade to Nunawading?
