  1. It's quite an interesting topic. One notable trait of elite footballers is that they're generally intelligent people. There are obvious exceptions but the first thing i've noticed with Brayshaw and Petracca is that they were very mature and intelligent 18 year olds when i first heard their interview, i knew they'd be quality.
  2. LOL. I said Toumpas costs us 2 games a year from momentum killing turnovers last year in the trade period. He just cost Port 1 game. He's a ripper
  3. Forgive my ignorance, but I thought GCS don't really give a flying fudge about high draft picks and throw them around like trading cards, only caring about academies, points and now trading them for elite players
  4. No results on any of the purchase links. If a song as good as that has been buried for 30 years, then i'm not really sympathetic if it goes viral and no royalties are earnt before the inevitable 'This video has been removed due to copyright violation' - if anyone actually cared enough to take it down though. But yeah the club should get involved in promoting this song or single in the next week or if we beat Geelong.
  5. Any chance we can get this in MP3 or dare I say it, FLAC ? The youtube video, despite it's cheesiness is actually an awesome kind of retro with those synths but the qual is obviously low. Would be great to play it in my imaginary Delorian on the way to the ground with the scarves out the window. We should get them to play this on AFL 360 next week if we beat Carlton by the way! Let's all email it and tweet it. [email protected], not sure of any other email addresses.
  6. North had the ball most of the day, it's not an uncommon discrepancy. Sydney capitalised on almost every opportunity going forward.
  7. We dee'd it!
  8. Who hired that bumbling idiot boundary rider? He can't string a sentence together and if he can, it's a useless cliche.
  9. The only good thing to come of this is that we won't have to watch a game played at the ANUZ stadium in two weeks.
  10. But predictably missing every shot on goal like they do every week when they're on top.
  11. I have no faith in GWS in r23. Not getting overly excited with Sydney playing well here. This is the beginning 5% that needs to go right
  12. "The huge curve ball in this year's finals series is that bye after round 23," Clarkson said after the loss to the Eagles. "It's unique, it's never been done in the game before. No one knows how it's going to pan out. "Even if you win the first final you've then got a very, very nervous wait. "When you get into the prelim, you've had one game in about three or four weeks, which is really unique. "If we lose, it's not the be-all or end-all," Clarkson said. "We still give ourselves a chance. If there's any year there's a chance to come from outside of the top four, it's this year, because of that very unique situation." -- The Hawks are coming
  13. BRING OUT JACK FITZPATRICK
  14. Luke 'Old Mangy Dog' Hodge just waddles around kicking mongrel torps these days. Retire you thug.
  15. I think I get it too. If WCE beat Adel and Coll beat Hawks. GWS could take 2nd or even 1st if Sydney also mess up. Edit: Then Geelong will be playing for top 2 against us as well
  16. Hawthorn are ahead of GWS by 8 points. Are you predicting Collingwood to beat them and GWS caring about making 3rd instead of just 4?
  17. If anyone is to care about that GWS v NTH came then it would mean we've beaten Geelong, and so they'll be hungry regardless of Hawthorn and will be playing to overtake the Cats.
  18. What a feral crowd, I wonder how many women have been punched in the crowd tonight. Honestly, I dont care about the result. Hawthorn will get assistance by travelling in week 1 and not having to play one game in a month from the two byes OR Some games including a prelim at the MCG isn't a bad thing.
  19. THE Suns have made an audacious play to lure Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe to the Gold Coast. The draft pick rich Suns have offered two first-round picks and potentially another player to Fremantle to get the deal done either in this year’s trade period or next year when Fyfe becomes a restricted free agent. Gold Coast currently have two picks in the top ten in this year’s draft, plus whatever they receive for out-of-contract midfielder Dion Prestia who wants out of the Suns and is believed to have nominated Richmond as his destination of choice. Gold Coast Suns set to launch audacious bid for Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe
  20. Bit over an overstatement considering it's only the third worst at their club. (Hello Ivan and Dusty)
  21. He has potential and could still be valuable depth if fit and firing. Look at the Kangas, Gold Coast and Dogs to see what happens when injuries plague a team. How long until the Dees have one of those seasons? We're not immune. I'd hope we're doing something right though in terms of our fitness training and it's not about luck.
  22. Why do people think Richmond are paying overs? If they're clearing house then they're going to be bringing in younger players. They desperately need a 3rd midfielder of quality when Cotchin and Martin inevitably don't fire every second match. Apparently the salary cap will be increased so they're just getting in early on the bigger salaries?
  23. Agree. We don't want a situation where GWS can choose to play the Kangas again by not beating them by a big enough margin to get us into the 8. The Kangas might be playing to not lose by more than 25 or so points.
  24. I want Ben Kennedy to pop up and kick 5 electric goals in round 23 to even up the score. I hope he's pumping himself up.
  25. Bye Bye Hawthorn then? Can only be a good thing this year. It would be incredible if a BYE sunk the 4pete. Though their insufferable fans would make excuses for a year. However! If WCE beat Hawthorn this weekend, the Hawks might be the ones that win a premiership because of the BYE.
