  1. Who knows BBO he may add a bit of X factor in our 2024 finals campaign if Jake can get back in time.!!!
  2. WCW maybe when umps fail to pay obvious free kick, the players react to the expected free the crowd react but the umpire who has no feel for the game signals Play On.!!
  3. Agree R(B)G Adams, he represented us in the GF sprint final on Saturday, tall 196cm, lean and has some pace about him. Really hope he puts in the hard yards pre-season and gets a run in 2024.!!
  4. Overall I got to see and enjoy all the home games bar Brissie as I was in Cairns that week. We played some great games and debuted some great kids, we failed to capitalise on a number of excellent team performances which cost us dearly in the end. A terrible year for losing key players at critical times during the season. Gus being Ko’ed and poor kicking cost us a critical chance of moving into the Prelim, the Pies fans left me feeling claustrophobic and angry. The Blues fans were much more like us but watching us cough up two goals in 2 minutes really hurt, felt a bit shell shocked really. Huge crowds at both games so the fans are back out in huge numbers, great for the AFL coffers, realised that concussion issued are not an issue for AFL. Some peculiar and bizarre decisions by the umpiring fraternity and the ARC system is a shambles that possibly cost us a shot at another Granny. Terrible to lose to Pies/ Blues then losing Barassi immediately after really deflated me and all those close to me. But being an MFC rusted on person I have learnt the value of resilience and perspective and I have licked my wounds and moved on. As for the AFL, just so disappointing in every important aspect of the game and their OH&S record speaks for itself. Crickets.!!!!
  5. That would be nice, like in the old days.!!
  6. Yes biggestred - Pies, Richmond, Essendon, Hawks, Blues, GCS, GWS, Swans & WCE to play at Geelong for the next 20 years, North to play at Alice (they need the cash). I want 15 games at the G, 2 at Marvel and 6 Interstate games for a change.!!!
  7. It’s always hard when a player chooses to leave your club it certainly rankles a lot of supporters but also saddens those that wanted him to stay. It’s an emotional issue and we have fresh experience of these feelings.!!
  8. Interesting that Noah is listed as 189cm and 84kg good size and wt for a 17yo. Let’s hope he has a great 2024 and he nominated us.!!
  9. Shane McAdam is a like for like replacement for Jake Melksham, he is hard at it, can take a mark and can kick a goal. He fills a hole in our list, he has his supporters and detractors will Shane succeed, I genuinely Hope so. If he fails it hasn’t cost us a lot to find out. Good luck Shane.!!!
  10. Thanks LH great effort as usual, it’s going to be a very interesting trade/ draft period as we may need to free up a couple more spots.!!
  11. WERRIDEE I agree with your top 25 but would have ANB 8, Riv 9, Hunter 10, Kozzie 11 and Fritta 12.
  12. Good luck James Jordon I had you pencilled in for a big year in 2023, just hasn’t happened for you or us this year. I hope that you get a clear run at it at the Swans Mr. Jordon.!!
  13. Not only VFL, SANFL, WAFL, Country, Suburbia, comeon boys get that Ruck/Fwd you know that Diamond in the Rough just waiting to be plucked for the big time.👀👀❤️💙
  14. How good do Shane and Taj look can’t believe that it is 23 years since Shane’s Brownlow how exciting was that night.❤️💙. Taj has a good look about him he debuted in a confident manner and has self belief which is so crucial at AFL level. Hope to see him play a lot more next year.!!
  15. My greatest football supporting day in the life of my family and we had to watch it in three different households but we all turned up to watch the replay together 1st thing Sunday morning. 💕💕💕
  16. Very happy for Jack and Billy both champion people who deserve the very best of luck and reward.👍💕
  17. Agree BPA Blake Howes needs to get himself into the side next year, his extra height (6’3”) and quality disposal across the half backline could be a weapon for the team, he could eventually play wing / half forward if he can build his core strength and speed.
  18. WD the media is the last thing that we need to worry about We have more important fish to fry. We Will potentially have to replace 4-6 players with an excellent draft hand and we need to replace Adem Yze plus refresh our line coaches. We have to sharpen our skills, get our troops fit and ready to fire for season 2024. The media are only interested in the next new thing and Collingwood of course.
  19. Ps BPA I am not talking about Gus, Clayton and Tracc.!!
  20. They are all under 6’ BPA I want a bit more taller silk in the side who can mark, kick run shepherd and provide marking targets, not much when you think about it.!!
  21. Agree Dee-tox we need a Tom Greene and Dursma type midfielders to complement our mosquito fleet, and I want one added each year until we balance up our team.!!!
  22. How great are those those memories, shots and sketches of the G.✅💕
  23. Thanks wheeloratings, very telling indeed 1329 kicks I50 and turned over 40%, that confirms that our way is not the best way. Adelaide, Port, Cats, GWS, Lions and Pies all have a 3-4% higher retention rate than us. If we can achieve the same percentage as Crows we would still be in it up to our eye teeth. What everyone has been saying all year lower your eyes and hit a target. Laces out boys. Also confirms that you need strong marking KPF’s to provide that edge.!!
  24. I think that you are on the money Bonkers the GWS midfield have a bit more height pace and athleticism in the team allowing them to hold the ball longer and feed off cleaner than our hack it forward style of play. We use handball effectively but they do it better.!!
  25. Did we go after Kozihtski? From Hawk’s??
