  1. Agree BBP he really got back to his very best this year also took on a bit of a leadership role with Windsor under his other wing. We need Ed and the Duke at their best in ‘25 along with quite a few others.
  2. Judd McVee has really shone in our back 6, I also hope we stick with Judd down back we were a bit desperate for mids this year that will change in ‘25 and why cut our opponents a break when we have one of the best and smartest half backs in the league.
  3. Wow how good to get back to real footy, huge thanks to Kev, Demonland, Startibart, DemonWheels, Katrina ( Mrs Walker Ghost who walks) and all posters for the great reports and comments. Geez Jefferson and Verrall have really put on size and how happy was Jonesy to be back with his boys.
  4. Much better fixturing in 2025 not so taxing even though we won both games this year we can just focus solely on Bummers.
  5. Agree with Ted and you DubDee, I would pencil Roo in as a potential Captain and I also think that Trent Rivers oozes leadership it just needs to be channeled, this new leadership development team that the club are bringing in will unearth and develop 4-6 new leaders that already exist within our group. Remember ANB as soon as he was bought into the leadership group his game went up several notches and continued to improve right up until his last game with us. With an ounce of luck we will bring in another this draft.
  6. I think that our backline is well lead, Gus often referred to it as the Men’s department with much pride and it has been our strongest suite since 2020, the loss of Gus has hurt us much more than a lot realised and we now need a couple of Rivers, Judd, Bowey or Howes to step up and help fill the Gus void.
  7. Sorry CF not interested in heresay this was the allegation that burdened Simon and his family for four years and now it has been put to bed I realise that people who dislike him still have their axes to grind.
  8. CF they said that claims against Simon were proved to be false and that everyone was sorry for the hurt that had been caused to SG and his family.!! Pretty straight forward for mine CF.
  9. Interesting Interview on the MFC website with Nathan Bassett, speaks with confidence, looks fit, professional and self assured has a good range of playing and coaching experience. Should be a good fit for Dees.
  10. Hoping Langford / Smith at 5. Armstrong / Travaglia / Allan at 9 depending on who is available
  11. You should read the article Picket it was printed in the Age.
  12. Sorry BD we already did that to get Pick 9 from Bummers.
  13. One thing for sure it must be a great weight off Simon’s mind going forward being vindicated in a national newspaper for all to see.

Good leaders know how to inspire, great leaders are also great facilitators they get the movers and shakers on board aligned with a clear vision of where they all want to go. Appears this is Brad Green’s moment.
  15. Christian Salem as mentioned when fit and healthy helps form that critical core of players that make us a very good team, players who are hard to replace. Let’s hope that Christian can string a couple of vintage Salem years together for us as we fight back to relevance.
  16. So true KDF the Great Depression left the population fairly lean and mean, add 6 years of WW2 with food rationing and no such thing as fast food outlets, just basic necessities and yet they got through it. I have watched a lot of history including WW1 & 2 footage all the troops and populace on both sides were lean fit and resilient.
  17. I am really looking forward to seeing how our new forward line coach can change up our forward 50, we have the talent but lack the technique to adequately block for each other, false leads, making space, physically hurting our opponents, getting the ball in over the defensive screen quicker will see a fit and healthy Bailey Fritsch back to his best. Troy Chaplin I want a forward 50 Circa 2018.

A minor part in the first a major part in the second.
  20. I just contacted Membership and advised them that payment hadn’t come out of my accounts on 01/11/24, cheerful young fella says oh yes they have, your membership’s are linked with your daughters and she has been debited. I said she won’t be happy about that, then said that has now been fixed Mr H and your memberships will now be charged to your accounts. I said thank you I will sort it out with my daughter. It all took about 2 minutes.😁😁😁
  21. Jake Melksham brings a lot to the club toughness, leadership, experience and footy smarts. Hope he stays on the bench when not playing to provide that forward leadership.
  22. Yes I saw that on the news, will be interesting to see the make up of our Leadership Group next year.
  23. Ha ha what’s the issue?
  24. Sorry to hear that you haven’t been well LITD, hope you are on the mend. As it stands we have JVR, Petty, Disco and an improving Jefferson as tall forwards Will Verrall, Tom Fullarton as ruck/ forwards and Luker Kentfield as a 19 yo developing tall. Throw in Fritsch, Kozzie, Chandler, Sharp, Sparrow, Tholstrup and Petracca plus Picks 5 & 9 I believe that we have potentially all the cogs that we need to make a very capable forward machine in 2025.
