phaaaaaaaaarq, i hate essendon sooooo much.

true.. but, if the ball was on the ground and there were a handful of tigers jumpers around, cotchin is getting that ball. almost plays like viney when he is playing at his optimum. just brutal. re: the 2016 against the bulldogs. i think there was blood in the water at that stage wasn't there? i dare say our young kids knew and attempted to beat them up, having been beaten to a pulp many times by them over the years.. but yes, it's frustrating. i think we can it these days much better over a game, but just not PEAK PRESSURE. not sure why. maybe today? ?

just watching the 3rd quarter and billings has taken a mark & then mucked up the gimme set shot.. bruce says 'quiet first half from jack', or something to that effect. more like, 'quiet first half of your career jack'. so stoked we didn't take him. also, i gotta say, trent cotchin is such a great player these days. so physical and tough in the contest. if there's a loose ball to be won, he generally wins it. such an improvement from the level he played at for years when richmond just couldn't get above 9th. impressive.

he first impressed me at some of his early training sessions at gosch's.. i thought he'd just be a feisty mid. he has surprised, bringing leadership to our relatively young group & has impressed me with his laser kicks to the other forwards and vision. i just wish he was more consistent. good on him!

dance down the street & jump into an amsterdam canal for a dip

with respect, who knows if any of the rumours are true with regards to who north are chasing.. i guess its better to ask than not ask. but 700k for polec? if that bit is true, HOT DAMN!

fingers crossed then. i can't say i'd be upset to get a pick under 50 for bugg, but i'd definitely be surprised

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Mt. Dee-Maaan replied to Dee1987's topic in Melbourne Demons
do they even exist at the moment? people throw up the likes of isaac smith alot, but if every player in the afl was gettable, who has the speed & footskills that the dees need? they're either flakey, fast and have poor footskills (see hunt), only run in straight lines (also see hunt, but obviously a lot of others), or have amazing foot skills like a matt suckling. gaff (especially considering our list demographic) seems like the best bet for our group. he will compliment and not need to really win his own ball. oliver, brayshaw, etc will feed it out to him. -
for starters, tyson has no 'grunt'. but as travis said above, tyson can come in and perform in our midfield group. i love hannan, but am a sucker for an enigmatic player (hi jeff!).. not sure that we can consistently play with hannan, garlett, spargo & ANB in our fwd 50. bit flakey for mine. love having hannan in for cameos though. also, has anyone noticed that hannan hasn't taken a speccie in ages?

a pick in the second round?! he hasn't played this year in the top side has he?.. 3rd/4th round at best mate.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Mt. Dee-Maaan replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
like him a lot.. looks like a player that wouldn't choke in the big moments. you'd have to have him in the team should they arise in the coming years. other teams clearly underestimate him too. its great. -
brayshaw might go close too if he keeps killing it with maxy..even after missing those early season games
-
cats, swans and crows are potentials i reckon.. maybe even gws at the G, but prob pretty unlikely.
-
freeeeeeoh givin em the ol' heave-ho - way to go
-
hibberd. garlett. jkh. vince. jones.
-
he ain't going no where..he's a dee. i'm sure the club has him as taking over jonesy's role (in potentially a variety of ways) heading into the future.
-
carey (and some other idiot commentators) just say [censored] to get attention.. not thought through at all. no 1 pick for sloane and mckay and another pick from the crows probably would still be pushing it, let alone, vfl players from us.
-
the first real game i've seen of ed langdon.. wasn't bad (considering the conditions and that his team are pretty putrid). i'd be happy to get him for a low cost if possible.. good runner.

brayshaw aint goin nowhere

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Mt. Dee-Maaan replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
yeah, i know who he is. right.. he'd cost a mint though and i think we're still needing 2-3 mids. ah whatever, see how it plays. -
inside goss: that was rented. also, bob is a legend. each to their own though.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Mt. Dee-Maaan replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
did someone say on another thread (gaff maybe?) that we would be keen on mcgovern. two questions. which mcgovern? and, was it that he is available and we SHOULD be interested or that we ARE interested? i can't see where either would fit into our team as is.. -
put viney on wines. get garlett in there. keep spargo & trac in too. not sure about pedo and t smith.. not sure about the backline. think if we can get on top in the midfield and get out to a lead, we will be ok.. lewis and vince need to deliver smarter. maybe vince dropped for frost? i'd be ok with petty coming in, but frost has done the job before and this is a huge game.

Casey Demons v Collingwood VFL - Round 10
Mt. Dee-Maaan replied to WERRIDEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
wonder what jason taylor will look for in the upcoming draft? nice to know we have the defence sorted now.. maybe wingers and outside mids? -
i wonder in what ways bayley can imrprove in the next few years? will he always be that body type, or will he fill out/put on some bulk? i guess that would affect his current game style.. love him. and i thought he'd just be one of those guys that takes speccies every game. much, much more than that!
