i'd argue a mid-late first, not that it really matters.. its a lottery i guess. he was taken then, has had development, got over his draft year injury and is a really good up and coming player.

personally i am ethically pretty against this loophole.. it's there for a reason, but if its been used before and we can navigate it, why not?

wow, i'd never heard of this?! crazy.. keen!

that will just never ever happen.. worth a try though. why would they let us and no other club? not really fair just cos we might wanna use it to get kelly or something. i'd be happy to get may and a really good kid that's ready to go, just not sure that there will be one left at 5/6 that won't be a flight risk/defender/lanky lad.

totally agree. need a fast mid, but looking at the phantom drafts, there's only one or two mentioned.. roezee is the best bet i think.

not the one we had wolfy.. this one: POS: Tall forward Ht 202cm, Wt 86kg, DOB 7/7/00 From Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro August ranking: 4 King continues his recovery from an early-season knee reconstruction which wiped out most of his draft campaign. The key forward was seen as a possible No.1 contender before the injury struck, and is still likely to be one of the first handful of players selected on draft night. King has been doing his rehabilitation program twice a week using St Kilda's facilities. He is an athletic tall who is as good in the air as he is when the ball hits the ground.

ya kidding.. a poor field kick? he releases slow, but his kicking is often sublime!

and wait how long for him to develop? i think we'd be after connor rozee (speed) or bailey smith, the vicco kid.. other clubs can develop the talls thanks.

? lollll.. nup, he said he loved my company, would buy me a house, that i could've made it in the afl and that we should go for a few surfs down the coast over the summer.. we then sat and smoked a pack of holiday 40's, listening to really modern JJJ dance music with lots of strobe lights

a ciggie every few weeks doesn't bother me personally.. better than boozing at least once a week like most do. whatever..

lever and may would be plenty fast enough, yes.. but not young concrete boots o-mac! ohhhhh concrete boots, when will you buy boots that aren't so full of concrete?

Farewell Dom Tyson
he may not be best 22, but he is first in should an injury arise or form permit. keep.

lol, you guys really don't like smokers huh?.. funny.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
lol.. lighting a dart in a nightclub? for starters, smoking has been illegal in doors since when - 2005? i seriously doubt that a pro footy player like jesse was that wasted that he did a dean martin.. also, fyi, the kids go to the discotheques these days anyway.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
have you flicked through this thread at all?! it overwhelmingly feels like the majority on here dislike jesse due to his 'lack of passion', chase, blah blah blergh.... surely a poll is needed. something like, 'if jesse is happy to stay at mfc on a new long-term contract, are you?'. the fact i had a dream last night where i met him for a beer to say it'd all be ok and it was t too late to stay, obvs shows where my vote would go. also, polls solve everything.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
as i've said before.. is andrew brayshaw ready to go?! where would he fit into our best 22? discounting his brotherly scraps earlier in the year, what do you you know about him?.. i know he's not an outside runner. he was playing for a crap team and getting games, but you have to realise he would end up at casey, behind his brother, viney, harmes, oliver, etc...? if his name was 'andrew smith', i bet he'd not even be in the conversation re: hogan trade.

i think you and i would be an improve on them redleg..

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
i do wonder how good preuss actually is? is he novelty factor alone (torps, big tackles, etc) or do we think he actually has potential as a ruck in the afl? one that runs and competes?

what so you think if he stays with the suns next year may will remain captain? kid you're a dreamer.. no way. you lose that once you put yourself out there to other clubs.. yes, they can insist he stays if they don't get what they want pick-wise, but do they really want a bloke who has sat down and met with three other clubs to be 'leading them' (their defence, leadership group, etc)? don't think so! if you cannot see that we're in a stronger position with jesse than the suns are with may, i'm sorry, i can't help you. i never said may would come cheap, but we should not be resigned to giving up a high first rounder for him.. surely potentially getting kelly would be priority over him.. surely!

how about oscar's unwillingness to be physical? apart from that one tackle on darling, i haven't seen any physicality whatsoever, and additionally he seems to lack urgency when the ball is on the ground or he misjudges it and it flies past him.. its like his boots are full of cement. i have come to admire his coolness with ball in hand, but the above failings will be his undoing. he just doesn't have that 'killer instinct' that a defender needs.
