Time to go Goody?
I realise a lot of people have asked genuinely, but can anyway suggest what the new game plan that Goodwin keeps referring to is? i honestly cannot identify what the players are trying to do. they aren't taking risks, they seem to be doing the same thing, just slower and with worse footskills (if that is possible).. the kickouts at the moment and mistakes in the D50 are particularly bad atm too and no one seems to be referring to those. perhaps that is a result of trying to avoid the boundary line upon exiting our D50?

The Alix 'Flying Viking' Tauru thread
Just had an image of Tauru and Van Rooyen owning the forward line and causing absolute chaos.. Although I'd prefer we don't go him at 5, maybe it'll all work out in the end?.. Love to have him, if only we had another pick in the 10 :-P

List Analysis
love that you've referred to him as 'John' @Whispering_Jack very catty. 👏

The Finn O’Sullivan Thread
mmmm.. not sure about this kid.

The Riak Andrew Thread
hope we do get him.. seems like a great kid.

good player, loads of potential. speed, hard and gutsy.

2024 Phantom Drafts
I'll be sweating if we go Smilie at 5 & Armstrong at 9 (or vice versa). I just don't see it. Smilie is arrogant and lazy. Word is we might have a few players already like that :-/.. Would love it Jagga slips to 5 (hello general consistency & good delivery to our forward line!) and if we could nab Tauru or Travaglia at 9, I'd be stoked. Tauru looks a weapon (prob as a KPD) and Travaglia has speed, dare and sounds as though he is an upstanding citizen. But, should they are all gone, Taj Hotton or Jobe Shanahan at 9.

2024 AFL Grand Final
Want the Swannies to win, but am afraid the Lions will get up by a 4 goals-ish :-/

NON-MFC: Preliminary Finals
hopefully swans get up and cats lose. can't stand port, cats or lions (mainly due to zorko and their [censored] against petty a few years ago).. joe is a weird unit, be funny to see him in the GF.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
be great if we could somehow get two mids in the top 15 and then a slider KPF/KPB between 25-40 (somehow).. just have to see what we can do with playing around with pick swaps (including next year's picks).

Congratulations Jesse - Coleman Medalist.
from having a kick with him at the launch of the old 'new' MFC logo at yarra park, he was super nice and also had a great kick :-) in my years of players leaving (excluding gus), jesse has been the one the one that has been the most upsetting.. love how when he plays us he plays hard, but not dirty/mouthy too. respect.

Greg Stafford departs Melbourne
i wonder who else we could get in.. all for getting ex-demons back into the fold. so long as they are keen to be progressive and have gained experience from other clubs in the AFL system.
-
Luke Parker open to move
if we get rid of both/one of billings and hunter, get him in. if we don't, then nahhh
-
Premiership Hero Ben Brown Retires
legend.. essential that the dees try to keep him involved in club activities as much as possible. would be a great wellbeing officer.

Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
have you considered that with our first rounder for next year, as well as any compensation that we would get for petty, we could get a tall forward to join the club?..

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
i mean, in saying that, if we take him with our first, jason taylor and the recruiters have done it for a reason.. i just can't see it. also be shocked if we took a mid sized caddy. need more midfield class and skilled KPPs (o'sullivan, et al).

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
i realise that its unfair and definitely illogical, but i can't help but compare duursma with his brother, who can be great, but is also super flakey..especially after his first season or two. it looks as though the new version is in a class above, but still, from the online games that i watched, not sure that he is what we need right now.. looks more like a pick from 10 on. i'd be happy to land duursma at our second pick, but not our first.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I have a strange feeling we're gonna land McKercher.. Not sure how, but I reckon that we might be making moves for him. Heard nothing, just a vibe mannnn..

2023 Best and Fairest
yep Steve, we should've...but we didn't. let that burn.

Cool light of day
stating the bleeding obvious, but we need talented players by foot going inside 50 as much as we need a tall forward..

Farewell Deakyn Smith
from all reports anyone that had watched him play were saying that he would potentially step up next year. a real shame. hopefully he gets on a list elsewhere, seems like a nice guy and has the attributes.
- GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn

Farewell Brodie Grundy
i was more referring to a pick trade, obviously not a compensation pick..
