  1. i like it..but i think lewis serves an important function with stability downback. not his biggest fan, but he has really good games and goes missing in others. think the club will still put him in best 22 anyway. love the weed. hopefully if he gets more consistenty (like late in the year) he will cause selectors problems... might be a battle between him and preuss. still not completely sold on preuss. seen him do amazing stuff, but could just be a big oaf runnin around not doing much. anyway, depthhhhh. and good for the pies and eagles games. liking smith and tyson out though.
  2. excited to see him in the red and blue.. sounds like exactly what we need.
  3. better bleach in syders..
  4. succinct bin. and with that post your crystallised my feelings. i henceforth state i will never enter this bucket of turd again.
  5. i'd've love a jack higgins type.. he likely? imagine jack in our team providing pressure and enthusiasm. JAYZUS
  6. orrr, the club could launch a new range of smokes? 'pj premiership edition'. all funds raised going to building toilets next to the new training ground so that the players no longer need to defecate in the long grass of gosch's. lol.
  7. how about old red-eyed garland?
  8. have you heard tom interviewed? he'll play anywhere the team needs him. we are fine to move forward with these three forwards. sam is still learning and as others have said, injuries and form issues can arise. they can look for other opportunities and we can be concerned about retention after our second or third flag. which other team would they want to play for? its clear that MFC has the best chance of all clubs to dominate the comp in the coming years. they should be lucky to be with us (just as we're lucky to have them).
  9. he first impressed me at some of his early training sessions at gosch's.. i thought he'd just be a feisty mid. he has surprised, bringing leadership to our relatively young group & has impressed me with his laser kicks to the other forwards and vision. i just wish he was more consistent. good on him!
  10. like him a lot.. looks like a player that wouldn't choke in the big moments. you'd have to have him in the team should they arise in the coming years. other teams clearly underestimate him too. its great.
  11. he ain't going no where..he's a dee. i'm sure the club has him as taking over jonesy's role (in potentially a variety of ways) heading into the future.
  12. brayshaw aint goin nowhere
  13. yeah, i know who he is. right.. he'd cost a mint though and i think we're still needing 2-3 mids. ah whatever, see how it plays.
  14. did someone say on another thread (gaff maybe?) that we would be keen on mcgovern. two questions. which mcgovern? and, was it that he is available and we SHOULD be interested or that we ARE interested? i can't see where either would fit into our team as is..
  15. i wonder what gaff would be thinking now the way we are starting to look.. pretty attractive option i would think ?
  16. nahhh.. too much of a front-runner for me ?
  17. i agree, but as everyone on this sites whines about how its fine we are on masterchef, surely we can sign our current crop as well as look at outside players (literally) to join the club? i'm sure the club is more than capable these days to juggle some balls..
  18. you wouldn't be the CEO of a major company/a Liberal party member would you by chance?..
  19. nah, i think my kind are often referred to as 'SJW's". good joke but.
  20. let's just agree to disagree.. at the end of the day, it doesn't really offend me that they were on this shitty show, i just don't see it as a positive. as someone from northern nsw, if you think that people from the northern states will tune in to watch the dees v blues game as a result of the show, or even think of the dees again in their lives, you are delusional. but that's ok, it's a forum and can all have our own opinions ?
  21. the connection is, you don't deserve attention until you've earned it. we haven't. and the club seems to intent on pushing the 'image' before we've even got a clear idea of what we are on the field.
  22. this is the kinda [censored] that makes the general public ask if we are getting ahead of ourselves.. who cares about exposure?! get exposure by playing a tough, exciting brand of football!!! jayzus!
  23. i acknowledge that he's been a lot more reliable of late and his extra bulk means that he is no longer a pushover against most forwards.. HOWEVER, he is still super slow in his decision-making and is rubbish below his waist. as soon as the ball goes to ground he's done. he gets into weird positions during congestion in the back half too. so he's definitely not out of the woods yet, but yes, much much better these days and lots to work with!
  24. after listening to the mfc podcast, peter jackson seems to think that we could accomodate a 'big fish' if they chose to come along to us at the end of the year.. exciting prospect.
