Scout Yes, he did spend a fair bit of time in the middle. Big Jake Spencer was strong in the ruck, certainly helped. I went there to look at the Hawks players, but Brayshaw kept getting in the way. Don't have the stats, but he got plenty of the ball, not just at the centre bounce but also around the ground. Excellent link up player, I'd say if you re-wind the videos of Casey's goals then Brayshaw would feature in a majority of them. There is a reason they want to re-sign him.

Newton was good. Played a bit more outside and first time i saw him use his kicking skills and they were top notch. Has a tough of class about him thats for sure.

Agree. I think the club is just trying g to add another string to his bow. He is much better in defence.I actually see Oscar Mcdonald being a forward to us. 197cm tall forward who has strong hands and good motor. Id like to compare him to Sam Reid who played all his junior football as a defender then Sydney turned him into a forward because of his raw athletic ability like O Mac.

Would love to know how many possessions Brayshaw had. To have a dominant game in the midfield against last years grand final team Box Hill who are no easy beats is a great effort. Some have said he isn't ready for senior football but maybe he is?

This is one of the most ridiculous things i have read in regards to Kelly. While im happy with the trade, Kelly showed last year he will be a star. You obviously didn't watch his game against us both times when he ran rings around us.Its a win win for both clubs

Agree we were nearly full strength. And im not buying into the fact Jones and Thson were rested a bit more in the 2nd half. We still had senior players like Cross and Lumumba playing as a midfielder to be able to calm things down.I read something like they had 7 new draftees playing today. We had none except for the new guys like Newton Frost etc.. We played 2 qtrs today and that is just simply not acceptable. We simply should have blown them away. Positives: Toumpas Salem combo. Both with 24 disposals and used the ball well in tricky conditions. Get the ball in these guys hands. Lumumba and Garlett were brilliant today and will add alot to our side. Grimes was back to his best today. Now to back it up jack. I still have a soft spot for you. I thought Jetta was impressive today. 23 disposals and was clean today Jack Watts is starting to actually look like a key forward in terms of body size.
