  1. FWIW Cooney didn't train at all for Essendon today and just watched from the sidelines while Goddard and Langford did very little work today.
  2. Really? Any reason why? Then again alot of those players were just disgruntled at the time and im now guessing most are all gone.
  3. Makes you wonder where Pedo sits amongst the playing group. Never see him gettibg amonst the banter between the players on social media or any social activities. Personally see him as bit of a loner but who knows You can only judge on what you see though.
  4. Good article on Kennedy. http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/melbourne-recruit-ben-kennedy-discusses-move-from-collingwood-20160328-gns7aw.html?&utm_source=social&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=nc&eid=socialn:twi-14omn0023-optim-nnn:nonpaid-27/06/2014-social_traffic-all-organicpost-nnn-age-o&campaign_code=nocode&promote_channel=social_twitter
  5. My tip is 3. Mitch Brown pulled his pants down last year in the Nab challange but i also understand the vast improvement of Hogan so really who knows? Could the first gamer in Hartley who is 199cm 99kg go on Hogan? We still need to work on our forward entries. Too many times we just bombed it into our forward 50 with no result.
  6. The good thing is that they have the practice match tomorrow which then goes straight to round 1 the week after.
  7. I was surprised they dropped Bird and Simpkin. Both senior bodies with experience who could give the kids a chop out. I mean they have named Parish as rover and he has to come up against the likes of Jones Viney Oliver Brayshaw and Vandenberg......
  8. I see you went all quite now that Frost has been dropped after you constantly bagged other posters for having an opionion that he should be omitted.
  9. It was obvious right from his first game that he was going to be a tough little bugger. On Saturday was the first time i sat back and admired a footballer's toughness at the ball. Nothing dirty just see ball get attitude.
  10. I said post game last week that Viney has already Hodge and Selwood coverd in the toughness category. Hodge is a sniping dog and Selwood is a cheat with his constant ducking. Watch this weekend of Viney going head first into a contest and coming out with ball in hand.
  11. At one stagr they threw Vandenberg in the midfield i think in the third and he started to get his hands on the ball and get it moving forward. He was a natural midfielder at the NEAFL level so i agree with you in that his sheer size and hardness would be a huge plus in our on ball line up.
  12. But those players you mentioned aren't run and carry types. Brayshaw and Oliver are inside types who will just continue to feed it out. Kent Garlett and Watts will provide forward half pressure with their speed but they are not natural run and carry types like the traditional Andrew Gaffs and Josh Kelly types which we severely lack. Lumumba provides that run and carry off half back. I fear some teams will cut us up on the rebound alot more just like GWS did on the weekend.
  13. Fairly quick side? Don't know if you noticed but GWS outside run killed us while we beat them in the contested area. We aren't a quick side yet.
  14. Thats a belter of a interview! Honest and straight forward with no BS. Talking to few bushie officials over the journey and one thing they said about him was his happy character and dry sense of humour. Type of kid you want around your club. Btw its great to hear Nev Jetta take a big mentoring role on the kid. Its what leadership is all about and just confirms why Jetta is such an important member of our football club.
  15. Not any real reason to suggest his staying either
  16. Lol just saw it off social media.. Very interesting if its a legit.
  17. Are you seriously trying to question whether i have played footy or not? This coming from you.?? Lol wowee... You should be the last bloke on questioning someone on playing the actual sport because clearly you lack in the football smarts upstairs between your shoulders. You reward the lead of course BUT if you actually read what i wrote i go on to mention that at TIMES Dawes would get out into space only to be ignored and his teamates taking a much risky option. This is a telling point that not even his own teamates trust him because he cannot simply mark the footy. And even if he still creates a contests, defenders were able to read off him and rebound off our forward fifty. Now if actually PLAYED the game you would realize you will always have the one or two teamates that you cannot trust to do the job properly. Its nothing out of the ordinary, its just footy. Again i don't expect you do get that. Watts is a perfect example of this. Over the years howw many times have we seen him have a 5m lead on his opponent or get out into space on his own only to get ignored completely by his teamates. Its a trust issue because the couldn't trust him to win the one on one contests. Now that Watts has worked on his physicality his teamates trust him and so do supporters. It showed on the weekend and the Nab challange. Massive respect to Jack Watts on working hard on that.
  18. One big thing i found last year was his teamates were starting to ignore him on a regular basis. He'd get into space at times and they still hold play up. That to me says that they have zero confidence in him to at least look 50/50 chance of marking it.
  19. I wouldn't. He'll be close to 30 next year. Hes not in our window.
  20. Haha you have lost the plot mate. Give your self a rest from here chap. 'Sense of humour' obviously doesn't belong in your vocabulary... Oh Unless your a Melbourne player of course! No wonder they take the [censored] out you.
  21. In fairness to Frost his spoil was actually a smart option as he had a GWS player in front of him. He knew Harmes was front and center so his spoil set him up beautifully.
  22. Jamie Bennell is doing well at West Coast too. He was one i didn't want to get rid of but again Neelds decision to get rid of him and keep Daniel Nicholson was mind boggling.
  23. haha sorry mate it did give me a giggle. Don't worry i have had my fair share of humble pie with Jack Watts!
