  1. Dont waste your time Wise with this moron. This is the same half wit that says dont read his post, but yet derails every thread with a [censored] random team selection for no particular reason.
  2. Dont mind this.. he'll add experience to our on ball brigade and we're at a point now where we need to start to looking at life after Nathan Jones. With that I'd like to start to ease him out onto an outside role or a half forward while we get the likes of Brayshaw, Petracca, Spargo more on ball time.
  3. This was my thought exactly, as he has missed a fair chunk of football in the past 2 years due to injuries and off field issues. Think this year was a development year for him just to try and play as much football as he can.
  4. So we're at the half way mark of the year now, what's everyone's thoughts on Balic? Personally I would have thought he would have snagged a couple of games by now, but he also seems to be developing quite well down at Casey. He's on a 1 year deal so will be interesting to see how the rest of the year plans out for him.
  5. Pisd poor effort saying Trengove was a disgrace.. at the end of 2011 Trengove was talked up as one of the brightest young talents of the competition. His first 2 years were far better then what Petracca and Brayshaw had put together in their 1st 2 years. What absolutely ruined his career was the burden of the captaincy at age 20 and then a serious career threatening foot injury which took 2 years to heal. By the time he came back, he'd lost all his power and speed that once possessed. Trengove wa also one of the most hard working and professional player in our team and did every right to try and get back to his best, but unfortunately the damage was already done. He had a team first attitude and not once ever complained when he was constantly getting overlooked for selection last year. Hes all class in my eyes.
  6. You just wouldn't trust him in a final because hes just not built for the high pressure intensity stuff. He got showed out last week big time.
  7. Lewis was fine today I thought. Said last year Bernie shouldn't be offered a contract for 2018 and got absolutely blasted on here. He was finished last year and now just plods around doing dinky little 30m kicks from his 15 disposal per game. I'd honestly rather get hunt back in, at least he offers a bit of speed and run out of the back half.
  8. I look at the way DeGoey played today and expect that kind of performance from Petracca..
  9. I'd be more concerned with Bernie Vince then Lewis.
  10. Wait till he gets the tank to play midfield.. absolutely dominated in jnr level.
  11. Give him a 208378 year contract. Unbelievable talent..
  12. Oh a WERRIDEE team line up thread...
  13. Ordinary tackler? What game were you watching? The last 2 weeks hes laid some really bone jarring tackles in the middle and around the ground. Ordinary? So far from it..
  14. Or he was probably feeling the effects of a 5 day turn around and that we forget that he's still only 20 years old....
  15. The Fillopovic reason is truly bizarre.. rest him for 2 works of not playing on the assumption that hes on a low base? Yet hes had a full pre season??
  16. For this year he'll most likely spend it all up forward. Next year I see him playing a forward midfield burst in the same vein as Caleb Daniel. His junior years were spent in the midfield and he was absolutely dominant back then.
  17. Absolutely stoked about this! I feel he is one that'll play better and more suited to the more quicker tempo of AFL rather then the VFL.. And just quickly, I've had a bit to do with young "Spargs" and I posted this back early January this year. Gday guys, on one of the training thread there's been a few doubts on young Charlie about his size and whether he can translate his ability to AFL level. Thought I'd bring this thread up and have my 2 cents worth. Just on Spargo, I had a bit to do with him when he was in the under 16s bushies . I didn't bother to write anything up on him when we drafted him (lack of interest in demonland at the time) but I thought I'd post my thought a on him now. Goody is going to fall in love coaching this young fella, he is 18 years old going onto 25 in terms of maturity and level headed. He was driven right from the very young age to succeed in footy and make AFL. He started playing senior footy for Albury in the strong Ovens and Murray league (step below VFL) at 16 and was still running rings around former AFL players with such ease. It was tipped right from then that this kid could potentially be the next big thing despite his size. He was quick, tough as F**k, and most importantly, driven and determined to make it. Despite being a quiet and down to earth sort of fella, he just oozes leadership on field! We played a praccy match against Bendigo once and he was captain for the day. The whole day he was barking orders, setting up midfield stoppages, encouraging teammtes, and giving direct feedback to coaching and senior officials on what was going right and wrong. He'll be in the leadership group in a couple of years. Mark my words. Obviously being in boarding school this year I barely got time to see any of his games (injured also). But we got word back from some recruiters that if it wasn't for injury he would be top 10 without a doubt. 3 clubs had even made mentioned that if he was just a smidge taller and injury free, they had penciled him for top 5. Every club rated him and the giants were absolutely filthy when they lost first rights to him. He is a genuine talent. If I was to compare him to someone in terms of toughness, leadership and skill? it would be Joel Selwood. He has everything that you need in terms of the culture you're trying to build and set. Yes I've pumped up his tyres, but the biggest test for him will be the transition to AFL level. The likes of Caleb Daniel and Eddie Betts have shown that it is possible if you've got the ticker and drive to succeed. I believe young Spargo has this. The likes of Jones, Viney, Oliver and Lewis will crave having this kid in the side running full tilt into packs and come out ball in hand. I don't want to put too much pressure on the kid but in my honest opinion, he is an absolute beauty! Hope that helps.
  18. Would it actually hurt to play him in his natural position.
  19. Yeah sure why not? Why would they attack me but? For being a self centered [censored] like Saty?
  20. No mate, you didn't straighten it up, you dug yourself a massive hole and was proved utterly wrong. It's just a pity you're not man enough to admit your faults like we've all done here in the past. [censored] poor effort by you.
  21. Mate you're a troll and have no idea what you're even talking about..
  22. I can see Oscar carving out a solid career in the same vein as Tom Lonergan. Dour solid defender who'll get the job done every week, but probably not the recognition he deserves externally. Enjoying Oscar's development this year. Thumbs up to Simon Goodwin for having the confidence in him each week when most wanted him dropped and developed in the VFL.
  23. There'd be a fair few of them around..
