PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
Personally think we'll recruit another mature age ruckman. Not sure we'll go down the path of recruiting a skinny project.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Regardless, i think both he and May are in for a rude shock when they realise our training standards are elite.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Looking a bit porky around the face yes, but give it a month and he'll be fine.

Casey Demons: 2019
Happened all finals series. He was pathetic. All well and good to be a voice on field, but at least back it up with actions. As a teammate i would find it very hard to listen to a bloke next year who struggled to get a single kick during the clubs most important period ( finals ) He wont be captain and based on his finals performance, hes not best 22 either.

2018 Delisted Free Agents
No offence mate, but if it was up to you we'd be recruiting every delisted free that gets cut from their club. Done nothing at AFL level to suggest he could make it elsewhere.

Lyon's Plea to Petracca: Be Like Max
The bit where Garry Lyon says that he might train hard and hard, but doesn't realise he can go up a level if he really wanted to is absolutely spot on. I believe Garry Ablett Jnr and Bernie Vince are on record to say that they thought they were training hard until their leaders sat them down and told them training hard just wasn't enough. I would be surprised if Jordan Lewis and Nathan Jones haven't had this conversation already with Petracca.

No he is a gun. And if it's one player id love from St Kilda it's him. Since his debut he's improved each year and gotten better. Kicked 35 goals this year for a club that doesn't score heavily. He will play more midfield next year.

2018 Delisted Free Agents
Pretty sure we moved him on?

2018 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If we somehow snag Xavier O' Halloran at our first couple of picks it'll be a massive steal! Classy inside and outside mid who'll compliment our growing midfield stocks. Captained Vic Metro.

2018 Delisted Free Agents
AF have you heard of anyone that we might be interested in? Just in regards to delisted players?

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
Well i can definitely confirm that is completely untrue, as there were clubs already taking notice of Oliver when he was playing in the murray busrangers practice matches after battling through OP, Melbourne included. When there was interest of up to 10 clubs mid year and he ramped up his training program by doing extra PT sessions outside of football hours. And as you say, Cyril had already spent 4 years in Melbourne, so he wasn't in a new territory when drafted by a Melbourne club. No it shouldn't, but it also shows Goody doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to standards and professionalism and will happily move you on whoever name you are. We are a club thats on a serious mission to win a flag. Competitors and driven individuals will be high on Goodys and Jason Taylors shopping list come draft time. But an indigenous young player from WA who's missed games through disciplinary reason is already a red line for me straight up.

I also remember Harley Bennell as well.

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
Both weren't disciplined for poor training standards. If anything both Cyril and Oliver were driven individuals in the final years if junior footy. Again, if we got rid of Jack Watts for poor training standards then this kid wont be picked up by us.

https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.theage.com.au/sport/afl/wa-gun-left-out-of-championships-opener-for-disciplinary-reasons-20180601-p4zizt.html If he cant do the basics at junior level then forget him trying to do the real hard stuff at AFL level. Especially in Melbourne away from his family in Perth. We are in a critical stage right now of trying to win a premiership. Goodwin and Mahoney will only want players that are absolutely driven to help this club succeed on and off field. The days of the Jack Watts coasting at training are over. He won't fit into our system.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Sam Day is no where near A grade type at all. Even when he has ma aged to get on the park, he's shown nothing to suggest he was worth z top 2 pick. Average player.

Steer well away from Sydney Stack.

2019 Fixture
Great fixture for us. The only negative is playing West Coast at Optus... Again! We haven't played them at the G since 2014.

Jarryd Lyons
Just been delisted by the suns. If you're wanting inside midfield depth then i would personally give Lyons a crack. Rate him better then Sheridan or Weller as he actually had some good numbers this year until surprisingly dropped.

Vale Colin Sylvia
Loved Col right from day dot the moment he walked through the door because he was a true blue country kid like myself who loved a beer, women, the punt, and footy on a weekends. Didn't take life seriously at all and just lived and had fun at the same time. On football ability he was by far the most gifted and prodigious talent i have ever seen don the red and blue, even to this day. I went to that Hawthorn game back in 2009 where he had 37 disposals and kicked 4 goals and thought that genuine star inside of him was ready to explode. He just had it all.. speed, power, strength, a booming kick (kicked a huge goal against carlton on his left foot outside of 50 one day mind you..) ariel ability and a body of a greek god who i was very envious of because how ridiculously chiselled he was! Unfortunately we never saw that potential talent that he teased us with, but boy the days he was on he could seriously light up the MCG and bring joys and smiles to Melbourne supporters during dark times. To Cols family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.. i hope one day you find peace knowing Col lived life to the fullest and that cheeky smile touched many heart who came close to him. Thank you for making us smile during those 157 game career. Rip mate.

Tom Campbell
As I've discussed before. He'll be a rookie list option at best. Definitely a good dominant VFL ruckman thats for sure.
