  1. Paul Roos wanted the Dom Tyson trade more then Taylor. He identified Tyson as a "future star" from watching him in his NEAFL days when he worked at the Sydney Swans Academy. The Toumpas instead of Wines was Todd Viney who was our recruiting manager for 12 months while we used that time to scout Jason Taylor. If we had kept Pick 2 we would have recruited Jack Billings who did his AIS program with us and thats where the interest started.
  2. Sorry but don't think we'll be seeing Koby in the red and blue in the near future.
  3. Stop it.. you are making far too much sense in this post ? Omac will be lucky to get another game this year if May and Lever put in those solid performance each week. They'll only get better with more match fitness too.
  4. Then we both agree on that.
  5. Keilty is already 24 and to be honest he hasn't improved that much from last year. Again, he's been on our list for 3 years for a return of 2 games. That's poor How long do we need to continue to hang o to these NQR standard players? I'm sorry but this might come across as harsh but we've barely gotten anything back in return from Keilty. He is a definition of a list clogger. Time to cash in and free some spots up for next year to at least grab a tall who will look like making an impact but also show that they have a future at this footy club.
  6. Been on the AFL list for 3 years now for just 2 games. Have watches several VFL games this year and he's barely hitting the scoreboard as a CHF and hasn't really put his hand up at all for a AFL recall since he's been dropped. Sam Weideman, Tim Smith and Pruess are now ahead of him in terms of forward options. Doubt he'll make the cut at the end of the year
  7. Hore will be an All Australian in a couple of years. Sparrow, was developing well at Casey until injury. Baker and Lockhart will be better next year after senior experience and a full pre season under their belts. Keilty will be delisted IMO.
  8. Are those same listed players that you just listed (Kelly is an outright gun on another level) be still quality without the like of Dangerfield, Ablett, Rohan, Dahlhouse, Selwood, Taylor Hawkins, Touhey and Stanley?? These players have made them look good this year. Without those name those players bar Kelly are ordinary players. Those same names also got shown out and bullied by a bunch of 21-23 years olds in Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, Weideman, Viney, Salem and Harmes. The difference is their ability to continue to trade in experienced soliders fill gaps like Dahlhouse, Rohan, Dangerfield, Stanley, Ablett, Touhey. We need to take a leaf out of their book and continue to bring in more experience players to add on top of Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, Harmes, Weideman, Viney etc. Not blokes like 8 gamers in Pruess, but guys like May who have already played 100 games and can just come in and play a role immediately.
  9. Go all the way back to Kane Tenace and David Spriggs also.
  10. Stafford has turned Gawn into a 2x All Australian beast. He stays
  11. I am with you on this one. I dont rate Viney as a captain.. at all, never have. For me the obvious choice is Lever and Gawn. Both just absolutely typify what you want in a leader in front of camera as they both speak extremely well and commend respect on field. Viney is the complete opposite in that he cant even string a sentence together and just mumbles his way through. He is cringe to listen too. Plus his on field performance this year has been simply poor. When the cameras went to him at the start of the 2nd qtr he was sitting on the bench with an extreme sour look on his face.. his body language wasn't great at all.
  12. Honestly mate when has Melbourne became that ruthless... If the club was ever going to consider trading Viney ( which i doubt they would) he would only net a 2nd rounder. Limited footballer who plays one position and thats it.
  13. Hahah this clown for real?? ☝️
  14. So hes all that according to you, yet you actually still expect a 1st rounder? Ok.......
  15. Did anyone see at the start of the 2nd quarter they had the camera on Viney who was sitting on the bench and did not once looked impressed. His body language looked quite poor. Also just thinking this morning that James Harmes is slowly becoming our number 1 best midfielder. Thought Brayshaw was showing glimpse of the player he was last year when he was at his best.
  16. Maybe the mods here could get rid of you?
  17. Wayne, dont like it then dont read it or open thread. Simple really.
  18. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2019-melbourne-considering-a-swoop-for-out-of-contract-adelaide-defender-alex-keath/news-story/25e6139f15a367e01d470da075193caa Amazing how the club is saying that a defender is still high on our priority list...
  19. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2419256164807675&id=567022600031050&anchor_composer=false Our captain courageous..
  20. What did he say about May?
  21. Oliver had a nothing game. 33 disposals yet only 7 were kicks. Racks up big numbers but doesn't hurt the opposition at all.
  22. He played wing in the 2nd half..
  23. Harsh on Fritsch. Besides the 2 miss kicks he was good throughout the day
