Jones’ consistent start to the season and the fact he’s been allowed to settle in the Swans’ midfield may make it hard for him to justify a move. It’s unclear whether Melbourne will pursue the speedy midfielder, but the Demons have the money to orchestrate a

Vanders has pulled up sore again. Looks like he is cooked unfortunately.
-
Knowing our luck he'll do a Kent Kingsley on us.
-
What a stupid thing to say. This is the typical Melbourne game that we are prone to drop. Saints are in good form, and yes i understand we have just had a win ourselves. But no way is this a walk in the park (no game is this year) Hopefully the Sydney win will be the kick start we needed.
-
I am a fan as well. Peels off and intercepts well. Exact kind of player we need. He is a joy to watch.
-
They are not rubbish. I too am worried about the saints outside run and dash. On a big ground at the MCG they will expose us if we do not defend carefully and restrict their space.

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 2
dazzledavey36 replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
ANB just the 14 disposals. Tyson had 22 touches for North. -
Its his opinion. I dont agree with it, but he has every right to share it. At least its football related unlike yourself who just pot shots everyone on this forum and adds zero footy related discussion. Pull ya head in.
-
Agree in regards to the short turn around. If Jetta needs time to get his knee sorted then i would be happy enough for him to come back against Richmond. The recovery process from St Kila to richmond might be too risky also considering if he has lingering knee issues.
-
Nasher, you shouldnt have to explain yourself in regards to Jetta. But i also understand why you had to.. ?♂️ Jetta is simply locked and loaded in our best 22. He is also our Vice captain and when on song he's one of our best one on one defenders. St Kilda forwards have a mix of small forwards that run through there, Billings Lonie Gresham etc. Gresham is the one i want Jetta locking down on.
-
Me too, i would love Goodwin to give him a good block of 4 to 6 weeks of game time. I remember years ago against Hawthorn he did a real good shut down job on Brad Hill and completely took him out of the game. I wonder if that could be a role for him where he negates their quick outside players.

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 2
dazzledavey36 replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree, it will take some time for him. I watched the last qtr of last weeks game against Geelong where he played majority of that qtr in the ruck. I'd be curious to know if they will also use him up forward as he apparently impressed in some of the Casey practice games he played this year. -

Had a good 10 day break so hopefully he pulls up well. Saints have a short defence, so would be good to stretch them while we can. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
dazzledavey36 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hore was pretty ordinary against Box Hill. So i am very impressed he turned it around against Sydney. I thought when he was named to replace Jetta last night i was bloody worried.. but i knew at the same time we had no one else. Must back up that performance for next week. Dont take notice of Werridee, the bloke is clueless. He thought after that game that Petty was a complete dud and wont make it at AFL level. -

Dont act surprised, its what we all do best! ? -
Full match reply on Fox Footy now.

Fair enough then.

You must have missed my post where i said i am happy Hore shoved it right back at my face and lauded his performance. I will pot players when it's there, but i will also be the first to put my hand up when they play an exceptional game. Again, not sure why have to repeat myself, but i will. The Wagners are depth i agree, but right thats all we've got, they played their role tonight and played it well. Once we get Lewis, Lever, Jetta and May back Josh goes back to Casey, same as Hore. If Garlett and Spargo both get some form together then Corey goes back to Casey.

Jumped over to the north board.. "Yeah, it’s going to [censored] me not having him around". "he’s killing it" "It’s a ****en joke we didn’t play him". "2 goals Preuss. **** me dead. We get Campbell. It's a cruel life" "Preuss dominating. Can see why we got rid of him". "Trading a project depth ruckman that had not been an absolute failure at the small opportunity at AFL level for a very mediocre peaked slow depth midfielder who had fallen out of favour..." (your mate doing wonders here @olisik.....) "Don't worry lads...we have Dom Tyson". "Gets his chance, takes it. Indictment on Brads safe selection policy. Preuss is exactly what we need right now". -

Loved his agression in all this. He will make defenders think twice sitting in the hole. Felt like he freed up Tom McDonald also which was a huge positive for me. -
In regards to Weideman, he had his knee strapped which means he was hindered. And it showed at times. But he won some crucial one on ones in close and that goal at the end was clutch!
-
Agree. Josh was very good and i didn't see him make many if not any mistakes? Seems like he has worked on just keeping his game simple. When he was drafted he was known as a good ball user and i feel like with his confidence up, we are starting to see that now. I thought Corey gave us some spark in that 3rd term. He's also just played his 11 AFL game, so he is still quite inexperienced. Feel there is something to work with there with his ball use and speed. Hell if he is keeping ANB out of the side he is doing a great job in my eyes! I didn't think Stretch was that bad? Didn't make any mistakes from what i saw, and he did have a short turn around from Sunday. As @Jaded give him at least 4 weeks of game time. He showed against Freo last year that when he's up and going he adds a huge important element of spread and speed. While like he will play much better next week in the open space at the G.
-
Absolute rubbish. The fact that he was still on his knees gasping for air while he was on the bench proved that he was still quite distressed after the hit. It would be a joke if Jones is not looked at! It was off the ball and Oliver wasn't even expecting. A dog act and not surprised by the tough faux style from Jones. He is soft as butter.
