  1. Loving the Jones selection but also the fact of leaving McDonald out. In the past we've let this go on for too long, but Goodwin has been ruthless even with our more senior experienced players. No favouritism going on here. All the best Jonesy!
  2. I loved the bit where Bradke was rated higher then Hore and Petty. Hore was only rated 4th for intercept marks in the AFL in 2019... but yeah cool.
  3. Yes i do agree regarding their midfield power. This is why the likes of Viney, Brayshaw and Oliver need to start hitting the scoreboard more. Petracca is the only one doing it from a midfield perspective. Get those guys hitting the score board and that's finals sewn up.
  4. Sorry LH, but you're wrong on this. The reason why Neale is having the year that he is, is because he's hitting the scoreboard. This year alone in 7 games he's played, he's kicked 8.9. His match against Adelaide he kicked 6 behinds. That tells me he's added another element to his game and hence why right now he's too 3 player in the competition. The only midfielder for us who's come close to those numbers is Petracca with 6 goals. In fact for a guy that supposedly doesn't kick enough goals, in his 166 career games he's still kicked 87 goals. That's still a lot better then what our midfielders are dishing up. This is what's stopping the likes of Viney, Brayshaw and Oliver from truly becoming elite mids of the competition. They barely hurt the scoreboard.
  5. Both players will be good in their own way. I dont understand why threads like these need to be brought up every single game just to prove a point. I liked Weightman in his draft year and he has all the tools to be a good small forward of the competition in years to come. Same as Koz. Right now both Koz and Weightman are just young kids finding their way through their AFL journeys. I'll continue to enjoy watching both talents for what they are.
  6. Potentially leading the Brownlow mind you.
  7. I'm sorry but I simply don't rate the doggies.
  8. I said he was a mix between a Cyril and Charlie Cameron. He just makes defenders nervous when he's around and that itself is a win.
  9. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2020/07/23/report-rival-clubs-believe-star-giant-is-gettable/
  10. That was 9 years ago. He wasn't wrong.
  11. I wonder if Jetta is in trouble? I thought he was okay last week. They could bring in a McDonald/Tomlinson/ANB for Vanders and Jetta.
  12. Mark Stevens @Stevo7AFL Massive injury blow at Brisbane ... details very soon @7NewsMelbourne
  13. Unless injury, i can see the likes of Sparrow, Jordan, Dunkley, Wagner's getting any games anytime soon.
  14. Benny has been very very good. Love the pre game he does as well with the players and coaches.
  15. Then what's the point of Burgess doing a weekly injury report to the public when it's a personal matter?? You've contradicted yourself here Sat....
  16. Kozzies uncle when he played for us would nail a few blokes and always made our blokes stand tall. I was bit of an enforcer for Aaron Davey who would be targeted quite heavily during the 2006 year.
  17. And has only played 88 games... Imagine when he gets to the 150 mark.
  18. Alex Witherden.
  19. Signing ANB to a 2 year deal last year was a very very odd decision.
  20. Langdon and Blakely had a huge falling over a very personal matter. Blakely instigated the matter and that did not go down well within the Freo hierarchy. Its no coincidence that he's barely played a game since Langdon left.
  21. Contracted until 2022 unfortunately.. but we know contracts mean nothing now days.
  22. He's all class mate. I know we were waiting around the traps with the Sparrow pick if he had dropped to us. He's exactly like his cousin Brad Hill in the way he glides across the field and sets up play with his class and poise, but also zip in and out of congestion with his speed and dash. He's someone who would start off as a high half forward and work his way on the outside of the wings and really burn off from his opponent. He's exactly the type of outside class that we need we still lack in our side and that wing/ half forward role alongside Pickett would be really exciting. Definitely needs to work on his consistency throughout games, but that'll come with experience.
  23. Barrett's North supporter.
  24. Who is out of contract and not exactly looking close to getting a game anytime soon.
  25. Theres a thread on the draft so I thought I would start one on potential trade targets. With news coming out that contract freeze will end, clubs and managers will start to ramp up talks regarding contracts and player movements. What does everyone feel is still our biggest need? Do we need another small to compliment Pickett? Or a developing tall forward perhaps. I like Bobby Hill from GWS personally and think he'd be a perfect fit alongside Pickett. Still think we are also lacking that outside class.
