May setback + Jetta knee injury (8-10 weeks)
dazzledavey36 replied to Big Gun's topic in Melbourne Demons
What i didn't not know Titan is him showing up to day 1 unfit. I have also expressed in the past that him publicly shaming GC training standards wasn't the right way to go about it. Yes i was all for bringing May in (still am) but i am judging him on the now.. im sorry but we gave up a valuablepick and he has done nothing to return the favour except turn up unfit and hit some bloke off the ball. Id stick a fork in him this year. As @Wiseblood said, lets play Petty and see what he has to offer. We have nothing to lose. -

Wise, This is absolutely on May. The fact he went publicly and shamed GC training standards is just [censored] poor and now has egg on his face. He was a leader there, what did he actually do himself to change those standards? He is 27 and mature enough to know he should have gotten himself at the best nick he could possibly be. After he did his medical the club would have given him an off season program to abide by and its clear that he didn't follow this. Sorry but this is absolutely on him. Didn't do himself any favour by knocking out some bloke in a practice match either. We honestly make so much excuses for some of these blokes- 330 replies

May setback + Jetta knee injury (8-10 weeks)

Oh and Dave Misson can just GTFO out now. Joel Smith, Steven May and then giving Jetta the all clear to play when CLEARLY he was completely underdone and hindered. -

Hahah what an absolute joke... 3 first round draft picks for May and Lever.. No wonder Gold Coast were laughing to the bank when they got rid of May and KK for pick 6. -
The club went cold on Freeman. They were fans of Taylor as he had spent some time with us during the AIS program. Roos was very big on the left footed Salem as he thought he he was versatile enough to play back, forward, or mid. I think he made early comparisons to Jarred McVeigh from Sydney as someone who could really set up across half back.
-
Incorrect. If Salem had been taken earlier in the draft we would have drafted Lewis Taylor.

I didn't think we had any more available spot on our list in the up coming mid season draft?

Casey Demons v Australia Under 18

Is there a replay i can watch somewhere? -
Your and @rjay arent the ones. I too rate the way they have gone about their list rebuild. Their backline is is sound with Liam Jones in All Australian form and Jacob Witering finally hitting his straps. Their midfield need a genuinde ruckman and a Clayton Oliver type to help Cripps. They have some ripper outside midfield talent in Petreski Seton, Zac Fisher and Walsh. Other then that they are set for next 10 years. Their foward line will be formidable in next few years. Curnow will be a genuine star and McKay was someone i wanted at pick 9 instead of Weideman. He will be an absolute gun in the Tom Lynch mould. For all the [censored] he has copped SOS has done really well with their list rebuild.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
dazzledavey36 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, he was terrible today and has been all year. 2nd year blues kicking in. Casey beckons for him for a while. -
ReHore was our best defender. Kudos to him, hes been Brilliant the past 2 weeks and hes proved me wrong. Hibberd and Lewis, time to retire now. We have a lot of junk footballers on our list. I have now accepted we wont make finals. Coaching needs a huge overhaul ala what Richmond did at the end of 2017. Need to be really aggressive this coming trade period.

Hurry up and retire Hibberd you [censored] idiot
-
[censored] you melbourne and [censored] you Goodwin! You've completely turned a good side into shambles

Bunch of [censored] spuds

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
dazzledavey36 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
There's been a lot of commentary around Spargs on where he's best position is. Have mentioned a few pages back that i saw some of his junior years play as a genuine midfielder. And a bloody good one too. The half forward role he is currently playing is for his own physical development. He is still slight and still building up his engine. Goodwin is not going to chuck Spargo in the center and smash him to bits. I would think over this year we will start to see him push up to a wing to utilise his smarts and cleanliness with ball in hand. Over the next few years i would like to think that Goodwin will start to play him in his natural position as an on baller who rests up forward. Obviously he needs to build his frame but that will come naturally with more pre seasons under his belt. Lets not forget that this kid is still only 19 years old. -
Why?

Honestly, does this thread need to be updated every second week?

Good to get some good chunk of experience back.

He is based in Perth. I dont think little Wiz will be playing for the red and blue anytime soon.
-
