My positives.. Harvey Langford will be an absolute gun. His kicking is precise and certainly isn't afraid to get stuck into opposition players with a scuffle or two. 23 disposals last night playing as a wingman/inside mid showed that he can be versatile in that aspect. Xavier Lindsay is another who's got class and composure. Yes he got out bodied by Menzie during the 3rd I think? But eventually I could see him turning into a gun midfielder that can go inside and out. Continue to chalk games into these two. We are cooked this year and i would rather just get games into the likes of Lindsay, Langford, Jefferson, Windsor (who looks proppy) and Tholstrup when he's back. Time to fish out the likes or Melksham, Sharp, Sparrow, Henderson, Spargo who aren't the future moving forward and are providing us next to nothing. How is Henderson, Spargo and Sharp adding more then what say a Bailey Laurie or Kynan Brown would if they were given the luxury of being gifted games without having to earn it the hard way.

I'd look at assistant coaches from clubs with sustained success. Cameron Bruce and Danny Daly from Brisbane Brett Montgomery and Craig Jennings from GWS Hayden Skipworth from Collingwood. From Geelong, I'd look at Nigel Lappin who i personally rate incredibly highly. James Rahilly is another who is highly rated within coaching circles. Then, I'd be sounding out John Longmire. Say what you want about his grand final record, the fact is, he got them completely competitive and competing for success each and every year.

The scene of Chandler and Gawn is actually sad to see. Chandler looks completely shattered and Gawn just looks like a guy carrying the whole world on his shoulders. Change is needed and that starts with the coach first and foremost.

Right, then tap Goody on the shoulder and advise him that for the benefit of the club moving forward having already lost the players it seems, it would be best if he stood down. Mutual decision, happy days. Buckly stands down mid 2021. They appoint Craig McRea at the end of 2021 and they not only make a preliminary final in 2022 in his first year as coach, but they then proceed in wining the flag in just his second year at the helm in 2023. Leon Cameron stands down mid 2022 and new coach Adam Kingsley comes at the end of that year and immediately takes them to a preliminary final in 2023. Top 4 finish in 2024 and look destined for another top 4 finish this year. Early days already but Damien Hardwick already has them sitting 2nd on the AFL ladder in just his second year at the helm after they sack Dew in 2023. Finally look destined for a finals birth. Chris Fagan in his 2nd year at the helm got them into top 4 and since then, have not missed out on playing finals. Sustained success. Luke Beveridge in his first year in 2015 got them straight into the finals after taking over a club that was in a diabolical state after they sacked their coach and traded their captain in Ryan Griffen at the end of 2014. Beveridge then wins a flag in 2016. Yes, it's not guaranteed that it would work for us, but there is enough evidence to suggest clubs that still have a decent list as we do, only need a fresh new voice and a completely new system in place and you can certainly bounce back. Our list on paper still has enough talent on there to bounce back up immediately if the club is willing to make changes. Goodwin is cooked and you'd be delusional to think if the players haven't lost faith in him because as it stands, player and coaches look polar opposite to each in terms of being aligned on the same page.

Unfortunately this is 100% correct. We have no pulling power or stand for anything. Until we get this right, we will continue to recruit VFL standard players such as Sharp, Campbell, Billings and Fullarton.

Harry Sharp is on par with Tom Gillies as one of te worst melbourne player i have ever seen and yet he stays in. Melksham is officially cooked has barely had an impact and he stays in. Fritta has been absolutely horrific and has been called out by ex footy greats for his selfish attitude but yet he stays. Goodwin is the most stubborn coach going around. He is delusional in his method and inability to clear out the mediocrity that has creeper in by the same players..they have been left to get away with the same [censored] every week. No wonder Petracca has had a gut full.

Goodwin is an absolute joke. Sooner he goes the better for us moving forward. Rewarding mediocrity performance week after week just proves so how incompetent he is now. Should have taken a leaf out of McQualter's book and made a statement, but no. Its the same [censored] different year.

Think we can all assume that's the case unfortunately.

Why would Sam Draper, who like Grundy only wants to be the number 1 ruckman, come to a club to then play as a back up.. Our club is nothing but a negative stain on future ruck prospects who want to either play as back up or establish themselves at the club. The club have shown zero capacity in making two rucks work in the same team. We've just signed Gawn to another 3 year deal and whilst he's the top dog, forget about any opposition ruckman coming to the club as back. Draper would laugh at us.
