Two things. Its okay for Max to give a speech. Team is about to break up and its normal even at suburban or country level when your captain gets up and speaks at the last game of the season. No issues. May is a [censored]. When your captain speaks just shut up and listen and stop trying to distract others who are also trying to show the respect it needs. Roll your eyes for all I care but to be talking away when the captain is addressing the playing group is down right rude and disrespectful.

Taking into consideration that we are obviously still keen on Wade Derksen who plays as a intercept defender.

Could be a role for someone like Marcus Wagner if Nathan Buckley is appointed.

I said the exact same thing in the post match thread. I know it wont happen but I hope thats the last we ever see him in red and blue as thr new coach will quickly realise that hes a suburban standard type player.

No coincidence our midfield looked at its absolute best against the likes of Brisbane and Sydney when Viney wasn't playing. He's not in my best 22 next year and he should be depth at best unless he can reinvent himself as a small forward but even then as a slow small, hed get exposed big time on speed on the turnover.

Every player, especially anyone right on 30 years of age and at this time of the year will be either playing sore or a niggle. Long season and alot of training at this time of year is based around recovery, sharp skills touch and injury prevention Lets not attempt excuses because I can guarantee every club are carrying sore and injured players. No player is rosy at this time of the year.

Do agree with the commentary around being impressed with Guerra interview. I dont think there was any spin and he was clearly honest why the reason he felt the need for change and a new voice. The list isnt in bad shape at all, but a whole new voice with some football department and list changes could see us back in finals contention next year.

By the time they're ready, father son rule will be unfortunately scrapped imo.
