Interesting. I've watched majority of Casey games this year and I've found Moniz Wakefield has been far more impressive then Rosman and Smith.

Wrong. Hawkins was 23 years of age when he kicked 62 goals in a season back in 2012. This was backing up from a near BOG performance the year before in the grand final at 22 years of age. Even in his 3rd year at AFL level Hawkins still kicked 34 goals in 2009 Hawkins was far more advanced into his career then what what Weid is at similar age. I also think the comparison to Hawkins is a bit strange considering Hawkins was far more physically developed.

He left it to Christian to make the decision on the day and it back fired. Goody contradicts himself there. In saying that, I'm glad both LJ and Gawn are playing this week.

Still remember around draft time when it came to this selection that I thought we were about to gain a steal in Jack Carroll who I was a big wrap for. Bit deflated when we overlooked him, but quickly jumped on board in support of Rosman. It was always going to take time with Rosman and while there is certainly athletic traits there, I too question his overall footy IQ. My thinking is there they're embarking him for the role similar to Joel Smith. Someone who is tall and got genuine speed to play on both talls and smalls. Not only is speed a big asset, but he's probably the fittest player on our list. Probably the perfect prototype player to play on someone like Jeremy Cameron. I think he'll get another year on the list imo.

Yeah I know. I genuinely do love Petty down back. I've learnt this year that he's becoming hard to replace the better he gets.

Good to hear that he's put on 5 kilos since he's gotten to the club. He got to the club listed at 88kg so now that takes him to 93. By round 1 next year you'd think he may be close to the 100kg mark. Physically he looks ready to go, its just a matter of keeping his form up at VFL level.

Which we certainly can. Doggies won a flag with no genuine top line key forward in 2016. Richmond won a flag in 2017 with Jack Riewoldt and Josh Caddy as their two key forwards believe it or not. If Ben Brown can at least get back into some form then I think we'll be okay. Just need a chop put from Gawn/Jackson and even Weideman to step up as well.

I've always been in the camp that we leave Petty down back because how valuable he is. Right now though, our forward structure is not working. Don't think shifting Petty up forward against Geelong is a good move considering he'll most likely take Cameron. I'd probably look at the move once Turner is available to play. I've lost confidence in Tomlinson after he got smashed by Sam Reid. Can only give it a go right?

I got a bit bored and randomly thought of past player in Michael Newton. Thought I'd compare the numbers. Maybe we underrated Juice?

I'm biased, but having worked and seen Brayden George come through the Murray Bushrangers ranks, he's as close to another Christian Petracca as you'll see. Explosive forward/mid who can certainly do damage when resting up forward but also just as significant when playing up in the midfield.

Loved Pedo. I reckon his career best form was when he became our makeshift ruckman when Gawn went down in 2017. I remember clearly a game against Essendon where he gave Tom Bellchambers an absolute bath. He was also so reliable around the ground that some of his contested marking around the ground was elite. He gave lion hearted efforts in the ruck and I think that year alone he won many respect of supporters. I was waiting for that kind of performance from Weideman and M Brown on the weekend but just wasn't quiet there. Both did well to compete but.

Pretty sure there was footage of him training with the lads in Adelaide.

I really don't see the benefit of Mitch Brown playing at all. Given a shot in 2 games this year and did sweet FA in both. Poor JVR has to miss a VFL game tomorrow because he is a travelling emergency. Wouldnt you just play the kid ahead of someone that's 32 and way past it and then certainty to be delisted at years end..

Anyway, on a more serious note.. what's Pedo up to these days??
