Our depth still has question marks for me. If Salem goes down we have no one that comes even close to at least filling in his position if need. Can the Oskar Baker experiment just be done. Shouldn't even be on a list let along trying to play off a half back. May and Petty are significant losses. There's no other to put it. Tomlinson was okay tonight but when Petty and May are fit they simply play instead of Tommo and Smith. Hunt was woeful, Bowey was barely sighted and few others went missing when needed.

How on earth did we get pinged twice for not being set up properly? Carlton will play finals if they can stay fit. Cripps looks fit and the additions of Cerra and Hewett will certainly help. Add in Walsh and they're looking dangerous.. Watching Cerra tonight really makes me annoyed we just couldn't get him across. He's absolutely the type who would have been the perfect mix for our midfield with his poise and ball use.

No. Play the one practice game or two and leave it as that. The set up now is fine imo. When you're playing 3 or 4 games before round 1 you're just risking injuries to key players well before round 1 has even started. The relevance of the whole pre season cup has died a slow death years ago when Carlton were winning pre season premierships but end up winning the wooden spoon that very same year.
