The Luke Beveridge Thread
I've been in the John Longmire camp for a long time as well.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Great news. Keep Petracca and trade Oliver.

The Luke Beveridge Thread
Stripped him off the vice captain and traded him out. On JUH, the pull would have been there to play him. On talent alone he's right up there if not better then Sam Darcy, but he's held his nerve and held a strong stance. Unlike Goody, he willing to pull punches regardless of who it is.

Yeah he's definitely not a robot and always fine his press conference fascinating at times. I also like that he's set a pretty hard stance on JUH behaviour unlike Goody who turned a blind eye to Oliver.

Letter from Brad Green
It's an interesting letter. I thought the part where he mentioned the external commentary around our on field performance, he reverted to our club values as a guide in getting us through the tough times but yet no mention of support for the coach directly but.....

Time to start a rebuild?
I think that's why some on here have a gripe against playing soccer two days after a game instead of just doing simple extra touch skills sessions. I understand there is a recovery component to soccer in getting the legs moving being it a flush run, but you can still get more benefits out of it just getting the footies zinging around with some short sharp kicks or handballs just to touch up on our basic skills.

Yes he has. Jay Clark article today with Brad Green saying Goodwin has full support of the board.

Did anyone pick up on this? Of course it's Melbourne that let this rabble beat their highest possession count in 7 years.

Pretty sure the Suns will prioritise their more talented academy players over White to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if they overlook him.- The Kalani White Thread

Really hope we are still interested in Ollie Lord.- Time to go Goody?

Difference between Martin and Oliver, Martin matured fairly early and worked on his personal matters really hard. By the time Martin had gotten to now Oliver's age he was a mega star with a brownlow next to his name. Yet, right now the club still has to babysit Oliver because he's still an immature [censored] who isn't well liked by some of his teammates.- Kozzy Homesick & Wants to Leave?

Which part of Matt Owies would have been great for us? His current stats this year is pox. Just another scrubber that would have been clogging up our list.- Time to go Goody?

My positives.. Harvey Langford will be an absolute gun. His kicking is precise and certainly isn't afraid to get stuck into opposition players with a scuffle or two. 23 disposals last night playing as a wingman/inside mid showed that he can be versatile in that aspect. Xavier Lindsay is another who's got class and composure. Yes he got out bodied by Menzie during the 3rd I think? But eventually I could see him turning into a gun midfielder that can go inside and out. Continue to chalk games into these two. We are cooked this year and i would rather just get games into the likes of Lindsay, Langford, Jefferson, Windsor (who looks proppy) and Tholstrup when he's back. Time to fish out the likes or Melksham, Sharp, Sparrow, Henderson, Spargo who aren't the future moving forward and are providing us next to nothing. How is Henderson, Spargo and Sharp adding more then what say a Bailey Laurie or Kynan Brown would if they were given the luxury of being gifted games without having to earn it the hard way.- POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
He looked shell shocked.- Time to go Goody?
I'd look at assistant coaches from clubs with sustained success. Cameron Bruce and Danny Daly from Brisbane Brett Montgomery and Craig Jennings from GWS Hayden Skipworth from Collingwood. From Geelong, I'd look at Nigel Lappin who i personally rate incredibly highly. James Rahilly is another who is highly rated within coaching circles. Then, I'd be sounding out John Longmire. Say what you want about his grand final record, the fact is, he got them completely competitive and competing for success each and every year.- POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
The scene of Chandler and Gawn is actually sad to see. Chandler looks completely shattered and Gawn just looks like a guy carrying the whole world on his shoulders. Change is needed and that starts with the coach first and foremost. - Time to start a rebuild?
