  1. We are in deep depo strive if these two are our future key forwards.
  2. BOG so far. I'd get him in next week.
  3. Youre making out as if they are Matthew Scarlett.. One is hasn't even played a game at AFL level at For 3 years and another just the 12 games next to his name. On exposure Van Rooyen has played 44 games and kicked 62 goals at AFL level. It's simple, if he was desperate for to win his spot he'd be making a statement. So far his statement is the 2 disposals for two whole quarters at VFL level.
  4. JVR looks cooked already. Has sam Weideman/Chris Dawes bucket hands. Aleer and Derksen are doing an absolute number on him.

So what does that say about the culture Longmire has created compared to Goodwin if he flourished in an a environment where opportunities were present for him. Longmire has a good history of this. Goodwin doesn't, he's flawed.

    Fixed for you.

Nah it's not. Jordon hadn't done much? Jordons debut year resulted in him being the 23rd player for our premiership so CLEARLY the coaching staff saw fit that he had done more then enough to be part of the premiership team. You simply don't get in if you haven't 'done enough'. Rising star nomination in the same year as well. In 2022 he played as a pure wingman but also stints as an inside midfielder and half back. So he showed that he had versatility and flexibility to plugs spots when needed. That same year he played every game until the last round where he hurt his foot and missed the rest of the year. He accumulated 445 disposals and kicked 7 goals. Sparrow has never reached those numbers even to this day. Jordon was clearly in our best 22 then. So you're definition of him not 'doing enough' is completely rubbish as usual. Soon as we brought Hunter in, it stifled Jordons development. He wasn't even needed nor a surplus to our needs. Complete waste of a trade selection. The fact a gun coach in Horse Longmire can identify a role for him as soon as he walked through the door sums up Goodwins lsck on innovation as a coach. His ability to continue to stick to the same favourites and crew time and time again has cost us big time. I've already made my argument on Bedford. We had opportunities to play him but Goodwin refused to do so. When he did we all saw the potential.

Can't question effort. What i do question is the players looking completely bereft of confidence and confused out on the field. They look zapped of confidence and there is simply no enjoyment out there. This is due to the confused game plan Goodwin has implemented on top of the perplexing team selection each week. All of this is 100% on the coach and no one else. Anyone who thinks otherwise have their head in the sand and is fairly delusional. The sooner the change is made, the better for this playing group moving forward.

Wrong. We brought Hunter in to play the wing role which resulted in Jordon being pushed out of the side. Hunter is now playing suburban football with a bunch of mates while Jordon is flourishing. Jordon had consolidated his spot in the team until Goodwin and the brain thrust thought it was a good idea to bring Hunter in and stifle Jordons development. That's 100% on Goodwin and Tim Lamb. We left Befdord out of the team in 2022 because we continued to play an out of form and slow Spargo and gave him zero accountability to send him back to the VFL to find form. Yet, nothing has changed.. again 100% on Goodwin. Bedford was playing as a sub majority of the time in 2022. By the 2nd half of 2022 our whole team was physically cooked because Goodwin refused to manage or rotate players in the team due to form and fitness and stuck with the same 22 for majority of that time. That is 100% on Goodwin.
  10. Nah
  11. Definitely more excited about watching this game then the actual AFL one.

Plus the gather round game against Essending has a stack of mutal supporters from other clubs. You could clearly see that in the crowd.
  13. And ironically they added Adams to the emergency list after May pulled up. Simply bizarre from Goody and the coaching staff.
  14. You'd think this would have been a perfect opportunity for someone like Jed Adams. But no, crazy Goody strikes again.
  15. I'm personally confused why he was dropped in the first place. This is why I have my gripe on Goodwin. We all know he's been in a rut the last few weeks but I thought last week he finally showed some form and was able to hit the scoreboard.. like a good forward does. Goodwin said in his presser the other week that he wanted to see some improvement from a defensive aspect from Fritsch game and yet he went out and laid 5 tackles against the Bombers. Meanwhile Tom Sparrow for instance stays in the team after he was getting soundly beaten by Merrett in the first quarter so they dropped the tag and barely touched the ball for the rest of the night. I'm sure Bayley and his family would be just as confused as some of us are.
  16. Yes, he'll head to the G as an active emergency player after playing his half. So basically if there's a last minute change then he'll be the first emergency in unless they have nominated one of the other emergencies to completely miss the VFL game then unfortunately he'll be the back up option after that. This is a pretty common within AFL industry and has been for many years now.
  17. A new coach.

Ironically its always funny watching Melbourne supporters on here giving shade to the likes of Brisbane and Collingwood whilst our very own club rots away down the bottom. I enjoy watching Collingwood play and would dream to have the game style they have. It's fun, exciting and brings their supporters through the gates. I legitimately have more excitement in watching Casey play this weekend over our snooze fest AFL club.

Collingwood are right up there as a team i enjoy the most watching in full flight.
  20. Crazy Goody at his absolute best again. Tholstrup back in after a long lay off. Sparrows my tag last only one quarter on Merrett and then dish up an absolute ****ful performance with 5 disposal stays in (Another goody favourite) Melskham.. past it. Stays in. Dropping Fritsch after he shows form at least. Should have done it weeks ago. I don't Goodin and his selection criteria anymore. Blokes lost the plot big time.
  21. If anyone hasn't seen this, it's well worth the watch. Incredibly fascinating by Horse on this.
  22. And let me just put it on record that out of all the issues this club is currently facing, developing talent is certainly not one of them and the least of our worries. I am happy with where we sit as a club in that regards.
  23. Ok... Tell him i said hello back. Odd response because you bringing up BP backs up my point about how the coaches develop the talent at the end of the day. Prendergast had access to some of the best talent in the country for a number of years, it was our poor development and culture in why they never reached their full potential.

  25. Anyone can pick the players. It's up to the players to develop them, and Scott's track record backs that up. Chris Scott is everything i wish MFC had right now.
