  1. Based off what exactly? You're clearly adamant this is the case considering guys like Cal Twomey, Jon Ralph and Tom Morris have all reported that we are more then happy to still pay a chunk of his salary (700k) even if it meant accepting a low pick as well.
  2. Isn't this exactly what this is? Similar to the Grundy situation where we were roughly only paying 300k whilst Collingwood paid the rest. We gave up a second rounder for Grundy from memory.
  3. All media reports state that it will be Melbourne paying majority of the portion which is around 700k and the Giants take the rest which will be a lot less. There is no way the Giants would be picking him up and taking majority of his salary. They would baulk at the thought of paying of having to pay up 900k a season. The purpose of getting him from a Giant perspective is because he is coming cheap financially, but also from a draft capital as well.
  4. Question remains now.. Who blinks first?
  5. Also mentioned that they wont be trading Jake Rogers. He shut that one down pretty quickly..
  6. Craig Cameron on trade radio still very adamant that they wont be trading Humphrey regardless if clubs continue to ask.
  7. Not how it works. You're not only pushing the player out deliberately but willing to still pay a huge portion of the salary, then expect to get peanuts back.
  8. No offence mate thats a bad deal for Melbourne..
  9. That's true. Taking constructive feedback on feedback on board doesn't seem to be in his vocabulary.
  10. Pretty sure Oliver would have relayed to the Giants exactly what he was told by King and Co..
  11. That's incredibly sad to hear.
  12. Ha.. my apologies. Been playing half forward at AFL level. Reckon a new change at the Dees where he would get more midfield opportunities would be a great addition. Perfect age bracket too.
  13. Hes similar to Pickett except he is more mid first, forward second. He'd start forward at AFL level and has the ability to go into the midfield and provide that good 5-7 minute burst similar to how Kozzie was transitioning into the midfield. I watched him at under 18 level and if he was 182cm tall I have no doubt he would have been a top 3 pick. Hes a jet but hes bloody tiny..
  14. Yeah see this is where you have gotten this one blatantly wrong.. I would love more then anything to have Humphrey run out in red and blue and would be a massive get and another feather on Kings hat on top of getting rid of Oliver But I am also realistic that its going to be incredibly hard especially if CC and the Suns have got a hard stance on him not leaving.. and so they should, it would be no different to us if the shoe was on the other foot and Kozzie was meeting clubs in WA. You'd be kicking and squealing demanding the absolute the world They will ask more then Petracca if Humphrey comes out and nominates us. Also, I hope yoy havent gone off early on this one...
  15. On another note, Mitch Cleary said on his tradies podcast that Steven King has been in Humphreys ear fairly constantly since he got appointed coach.
  16. No i think its a fair pixk by the time it blows out.
