He doesn't and hopefully shouldn't. I see him more as a Goddard type player, he's not your typical bash and crash player and he has exceptional play reading abilities and skills. In defence this year he has been a revelation But in future it may be worth sending him up there for a quarter to freak out our opponents defences

I think it was Josh Mahony that may have alluded Martin will get his chance this weekend. Green is still a week or more away I would think. It could work out, last time Martin had to shoulder responsibility he did it with aplomb.

^^^ Heard the same, but Clark is no Richo, that guy came back from some hellish injuries and was still in the form of his life into his 30's. This is a very serious injury, the club and Mitch have got to treat this very carefully.

Bennell and Petterd would have to be gone I reckon, they're fringe now at best. Bate, Sylvia and Morton would be on the edge but only the latter two have real value so I think the Master's position on the list will be safe. Dunn, Jurrah and Davey aren't going anywhere. Dunny has his downsides but he is a proven goal-kicker, has pace, and does not take a backward step. You need guys like this in reserve. Moloney could finally be serious trade bait though.

These are two things I'm starting to notice about the way we go about it that I have not seen in a long time. I don't doubt Neeld and co are to thank for this but I also believe that under Grimes, Trengove, Clark and the other members of the leadership group we are seeing a team that runs out each week whose mental dynamic has really changed. I'm feeling positive about the future more and more each week now.

MItch Clark is way ahead of Scully and with the compo picks it has turned out rather well for us Scully will probably be a gun all the same though, few more pre-seasons and he could be something else entirely. But then I'd put Jack Viney in the same basket as well, I'd love to see those two play on each other come to think of it. I want to see Melbourne trade for players with more hardness and See You Next Tuesday in them as opposed to yet another fancy twinkle-toes player like Scully or in the past those like Cam Bruce. Magner has been a revelation, Tapscott is a brute and Mitch is not the shy and retiring type either - these guys win you finals.
