  4. I've kept the same avatar for ages. Inspired by the Exorcist when the priest sees Regan and Pazuzu together.
  5. Aaah okay, I'm from a J2EE/.NET background so that stuff is a bit foreign to me. My web app ventures have all been classic ASP, ASP.NET and JSP/J2EE.
  6. Hopefully a philosphical step is not required such as a move from procedural to object-orientated? I remember the transition from C to C++ did my head in a bit at uni but eventually helped me grasp single inheritence stuff like Java and C#/VB.NET.
  7. Geez a total rewrite sounds like a big task mate! Appreciate your dedication to it all.
  8. Maybe it is the anger talking, it probably is really, but it cannot go on any longer. We just lost to the worst team in the league with almost our full complement of players. Robbo, Neitz et al I'm sure you like Daniher, I'm sure you think he is great. BUt most of us don't and most of us don't live our lives through the very rosey tinted glasses of an AFL footballer. We have supported this club our whole lives, when we know something stinks, believe me, we know it. Daniher has to go. What I saw tonight was a disgrace, he was out coached, out played and the players ran around like headless chooks. Holland ended up at full forward, an unfit Yze on the bench and a kid called Michael Newton who should have been playing left in the stands. Utterly ridiculous. We were made to look like fools it was worse than terrible, it was downright embarassing. I'm sick of the platitudes, I'm sick of the "five finals in six years arguments" We will not win a premiership with Neale Daniher and he has to go. Neale either go now with dignity or go in disgrace. Tonight was your acid test and you failed. Miserably. The Melbourne Football Club must move on and it must move on now. Gardner if you have any cojones make the hard decision and make it on Monday we can't afford to lose members and we will if Daniher stays.
  9. Thats a pretty good assessment. Yze_Magic posted there a bit a year ago.
  10. Lord knows the season thus far is nothing to be overly excited about.
  11. Hi guys I registered my interest on demonology. July 7th is not going to be good for me (new baby on the way) If something comes up in a couple of months then that would definitely be better.
  12. In my current depths of cynicism this has been a good post to read. I'm still angry.... but that's because I love the club so much. Thank you for putting it in perspective if only for a brief moment
  13. I'm glad Bizzell is selected I hope he does well
  14. over 50,000 people turned out to watch Victory at the Telstra Dome not that long ago. 20k is definitely not enough.
  15. A least you guys have got your memebership stuff. I'm still waiting for mine
  16. Richo is the better footballer in almost every area skills wise except for his shots on goal. His kicking technique is a little odd too. Attitude is second rate, he has a sook far too often and this has a bad affect on those around him. The club has spoken at length to him about it, he was better last year but overall it should have improved a lot more. Neitz is a much better captain and shot for goal and he also has a bit more mongrel in him than Richo. Neitz will try and hurt opponents, Richo is not quite in the same department here. If Richo played for a team like North Melboourne, Essendon, Brisbane etc... in the 90's I reckon he would be regarded as one of the greatest full forwards of the modern era. Not too say that guys like Campbell and Knights (one of my favorite footy players) could never feed a good ball to him, it's just that everyone else around him sucked so much for such a long time it limited him getting enough of it. Most Tigers fans I know reckon they day he crashed into the fence and stuffed his knee prevented him from becoming a real champion. We could say the same for Schwartz wrecking his knees too. Who would I rather have? Neitz hands down. Inspiration and leadership is the most valuable asset of any player. Look at Tony Shaw, average player, couldn't kick more than 30 metres, but his ability to lead and inspire got Collingwood the cup in 1990. They could never have got it without him I reckon.
