  1. only joking about the listening to the coaches bit nut and bean. i think i might have been venting whilst i thought about some of the decisions col made this year with footy in hand. don't take me to seriously. As for your point on one club players versus premiership shooters: maybe some want to be both. As Banjo Patterson's Clancey of the Overflow said to the Man from the Snowy River: 'A man can be hard to find in the mountains... but you're welcome at my fire anytime'
  2. love ya work col g. I love loyalty. The best of luck to you this year mate. And don't $%ck about with the footy when you get it in your hands. Kick the &ucking thing long and hard from wherever you get your hands on it. Don't worry about what the coaches say or the game plan or switching it or anything stupid like that. just clear that footy out of defence with absolute haste. i couldn't give a rats arse about modern day 'game plans' and 'brands'. it's a simple game. It's like cereal. Whats the best cereal? Corn Flakes! get it out of defence and move it forward. And whilst I've touched on loyalty might I add another note to Jeremy Howe: Jezza, you clown, who's the better man? Is it Colin Garland, or is it James Frawley? Oh and one more question for you Jezza: Metricon stadium or the MCG? Fair dinkum mate. give us all a break.
  3. I reckon he has done a good job. We're on the up. ANyway, I reckon banging on about whether or not he is this or that is irrelevant...he has a year to go. we're not gonna sack him (now should we), there is no confusion over who the next coach is. Goodwin has had time to settle. Its all good. It is in fact, all part of the plan when PJ and PR came on board. Its called a master plan knee jerkers. I am so looking forward to next season. Go Dees.
  4. He has done some unbelievably frustrating things all year. But who on our list has not? Maybe young Brayshaw has impressed everytime. Having said all that I think Id like to keep him. But then having said that maybe I'd like him to move on. But having said that now, I think I'd like to keep him. f*&^%ed if know really. If he doesn't ask for to much keep him. Actually...no, move him on. Hang on a sec... nah, Cols alright, S%$t! I don't know. I just wanna play finals f&^%ing footy!!
  5. Assumption is the mother of all %$#^ ups!
  6. Ouch! Spewing. He had another year of good footy in him. He is 33 not 43! It doesn't sit that well I reckon. There's zero chance he'll accept a coaching role at Melbourne. He busts his but for two years, busts his leg literally, it heals in about a minute and half and he is back on the track in two minutes! This is the type of warrior we still need next year. No contract offer. I'm dissappointed for him, I thank him very much and I wish him well in his life after footy. Thanks for your shift Crossy. Solid.
  7. Someone who wants to play more regular football. Someone who wants to play for The Melbourne Footy Club, at the G each week. Someone who wants to play with Hogan, Brayshaw, Viney, Salem, Petracca. et al. Its not all that bad C and B. Chill mun.
  8. Dear oh dear oh dear. Funny stuff on this thread. Some genuine (obviously) pain, negativity and positivity. I'm in the positive camp, although I did feel like spewing my guts up in this Freo game. I'm not sure what some people on this thread expected this year. Finals? Idiots. 10-11 wins? Idiots. No need to panic idiots. Get a life. Front up next year and we'll roll the dice again. Does anyone really believe we will win less games next year. Of course not. For me it is simple. We carry to many players that would not get a game at another AFL club. But most importantly we have little intelligence and footspeed. And make no mistake, those not so intelligent and slower players will be gone. No doubt about that. You reckon us idiots on here see what the coaches do not? Give me a break. Injuries have very much hurt us. Our mature leaders, if you like, are too few in number and cannot carry the load throughout the length of an AFL season and our young guns are just that. Young. But jumping up and down and blaming Roos is ridiculous. We needed some respect if you all remember. We were a laughing stock. When no one else wanted to touch us Roosy signed up (for big bucks yes, but so what? His reputation demanded that). Im sure its tougher than he thought, but I'd much rather have him, goodwin, mccartney et al to fix this up as opposed to a little clarkson minion like every other club and a posse of six assistant coaches with a combined age of 16. #@$% that! In short, we're still no good. But we are much, much better.
  9. I know its a different era. But amongst the reasons I love Jamar, Jones, and Watts is the loyalty to the club they have shown. Others as well, committed such as Grimes Trenners. Jeremy Howe, should be wanting to see the good times with these players he has been through so many struggles with. If he doesn't then let him go. Its gonna be his loss in the long term. Stuff him and any other 'premiership window' hunting player that doesn't want to win for the Melbourne Footy Club. get rid of them. Actually what also would be good is to let his manager know how much of an oleaginous (great word this - means creatures that have slime - like snails, slugs and leaches) creature he really is by going public with Howes 'open to offers' stance. Pathetic management that lacks any trait of uniqueness whatsoever. What a [censored]! Note to J Howe: sack the [censored] 'managing' you, get yourself into Pj's office and say "rightio Pete, $450,000 a year where do I sign mate" Pete will respond with "right here Jezza. Cheers mate. You can go and tatt yourself right up with that income now get the f@#% out of my office young champ as i have a lot of work to do. Go on...p**s off" everyones a winner.
  10. Was it Neeld's doing? Hard to believe he did anything right. So, Hoges, Kent... whats the third thing we can thank him for? Big Cam Pedersen.
  11. I reckon Howe clipped him with his knee when he took his obligatory hanger.
  12. Frawley not missed at all, especially his decision making. Catch ya later Chippa!
  13. Jack Watts is a very talented footballer. Any team would have him. Thats the bottom line. He has shown his loyalty to this club with no fuss. Because of that he will be a part of our success in the next few years. He is uncannily smart at times, sees the game different to many other players. I look forward to the day he gets his proper dues. Even yesterday in a bad day at the office he still contributed in other ways.
