Lets hope that this is the case. Jesus though, how do we stop Petrie Waite and Brown this week when we couldn't handle Daniher. I think North will win by 10+ goals. I have no faith whatsoever at the moment. In eight quarters of footy this year they have played two good quarters. This is going to get ugly this week. Our players will have further doubts in their heads after last weeks game. Boomer Harvey will be in the North rooms before the game telling his teammates something along these lines "this is the mentally softest footy team in a decade boys, this is one of the worst skilled footy team in a decade boys, we are not losing to this mob, no way." He won't allow it to happen. Make no mistake, within the walls of other footy clubs, The Melbourne Football Club is a mockery. There can be no doubt about this. Being beaten by Melbourne is the greatest motivation of any club in the AFL to make sure they get the four points when they front up.

Dear oh me. I wish I could stand on a mountain top and scream this out for all to hear. In countries other than Australia, no-one cares about Australian Rules Football. They never have and they never will. To most, the game looks stupid. They don't get it. I don't blame them either. Any sport that has a rule changes committee sets itself up for ridicule. Because, generally speaking a sport is a sport where the rules don't change. Think about gaelic football or hurling (ie sports associated with one country - Ireland.) Do the chinese give a [censored] about these sports? Of course not. Does any other country other than Ireland give a [censored]? Absolutely not. Then there is the hybrid gaelic football/aussie rules annual 'thing'. I think this is the funniest and most cringeful and embarrassing organised event of all time (having said that I have never watched it and wouldn't really know, but I never will, because I will never care. It just highlights the fact that two countries with two unique games misguidedly crave international attention and status. Don't get me wrong I love Aussie rules. Because I grew up with it. But people in other countries don't care and they never will. Ever.

Well said GWD. Tend to agree with you. I have often thought I enjoyed supporting the Dees in all the bad times but it does seem worse now that I am aware of Demonland. I love reading everyones posts, just like the OP, where I am from there are few dee fans so its great to be amongst fellow Dees supporters and undersatnd that I do not suffer alone. Or celebrate alone. But %^&* me! Yesterdays output! I drove 4 hours with my 7 year old to be at the game. I thought surely I can put a smile on the little fellas face during the game. But no. Out strutted the Demons. Embarrassed themselves and once again, us fans. I am sick of the embarrassment. And tired of the embarrassment.

Thats all Ive wanted for years. A team capable of remaining in a contest and coming from behind to win. So many good things that we haven't had for years. Put some talent around a Jack Watts and look what happens. Hogan is a superstar. He loves the pressure. Travis Cloke my a*&e! His spoil with 3 seconds left on the clock yesterday his most important contribution for me. They are a very good team GWS. Kennedy, superb. I remember Oliver's highlights reel when we drafted him. He didn't seem to acknowledge the difference between TAC and senior AFL footy as he went about helping us to win the game. Nathan Jones? I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love that he is our Captain. Matt Jones - wrote him off after kicking to all those spectators in one game late last year. Good yesterday though. Classy even.
