  1. i agree, we missed a few important opportunities to peg them back. that happens. funny how demonlanders expect us to win every game. hilarious.
  2. yeah he is no good. 19 year old in his first afl game i would have expected that he dominated at least.
  3. well said. first level headed post so far. Picket Fence, you were on the money mate
  4. I was only joking PF! Just jumped on this thread and am smiling at the tussles you are having with everyone. You are going off!! I can see your view of course and the other views as well. We all can. But this is the way it is at the moment. I love Oliver. In fact I don't recall him doing a single wrong thing as yet, not once. I reckon he would be a bit dark, but as someone pointed out he is only 18. Just have faith in the combined experience of Roos, McCartney, Goodwin, Rawlings etc etc. They do not wish to [censored] it up. They are not being cute. They wanna win and they wanna play finals footy. If we are relying on Oliver to get us over the line in in Round 6 then we are in strife in the long run.
  5. so just to be clear PF: you are not happy that Clarry is not in?
  6. I loved his showboating. Why not? No big deal. He's confident, excited to be playing at the G, under lights with his exciting teammates, running into an open goal, richmond supporters behind goal, ssshhhhhh! fantastic. good on him. as long as he doesn't do it to often. so many boring, inhibited 'leaders' out there these days that makes me love the Bugg more so. Our coaching staff will sort him out if he gets to carried away. Jesus. As for him pushing Riewoldt? Oh well. [censored] reiwoldt! he is a [censored] anyway.
  7. I love the big pencil. He's a big man. Can take a grab. Get fit and get in big spence, we need you brother!
  8. wow! I am so bloody excited. I dont know where to start. I haven't a clue who should be in or who should be out! Nor does it matter who I think. Umpire! Bounce the [censored] ball !
  9. Has he called a press conference over this? Seriously? when where?
  10. He was a handful. I counted 9 clear score involvements. 9/20 goals. Laughs and smiles like an auskicker after every goal. Gotta love that enjoyment.
  11. maybe, maybe not, Im not an expert. I was just stating that 'way off the pace' was ridiculous. His possessions were important, often composed. He is a classy player who will never be 'way off the pace'
  12. The bookies don't fancy us. They don't think we can back up good performances. Recent history says they are spot on. Have the last laugh by placing a bet and doubling your money!!!
  13. I reckon we will miss Oliver a great deal. He is the business. My massive worry is that every time we get some media love and attention the players get ahead of themselves. Clearly this was the case with Essendon, round 2. I can see them running out this weekend thinking they are premiership contenders. They are so desperate to rid themselves of past demons (pardon the pun) that they just take their eyes off the ball (pardon the pun again). Of which is, to individually focus, to stay together, and to win games. As much as we have improved, its 50/50 for me. But [censored], we have to get over this bloody 'little league' embarrassing target of winning two in a row. Just to state the bleeding obvious!!!!!!!!! Come on Dee's, it's [censored] time to grow up.
  14. FFS! Thats it. I'm off Dland for awhile. Ya bringing me down unneccassarily Griff. Catch ya.
  15. Not sure I agree. For me, its like the Jack Watts scenario. As in Dawes will be better in a better team. I'm a fan of Dawes. Have loved his energy, leadership on the ground (not this other [censored] leadership crap rammed down everyone's throat courtesy of capitalising organisations such as Leading Teams) He is strong, aggressive and generally a straight kick at goal. Yes he doesn't seem to clunk a heap of marks but this is just exaggerated because of the [censored] we have been mired in since his arrival. Won't be long until people are singing his praises on here again. Didnt late last year he bang in four or five goals straight against GWS maybe?? Bloody hell, two weeks ago and Frost and Pedo were no good. Now they're indispensable! I'm sticking up for all of them. If they are [censored] well contracted to the Red and the Blue I am in their corner. Go Dawesy! Get healthy and stick it up the non-believers. As for Vanders? Spewing.
  16. Of course he is a genuine good guy. That was my point JimmyNP. But they clearly wanted him gone.
  17. Wrong. Totally composed. Every touch.
  18. I was a fan the day he chose to join us. All the noise out of Collingwood about him being troublesome was ridiculous. He was mocked there for being outspoken, thoughtful, eloquent and for having decent morals. With such cerebral types as Travis 'Ian Baker-Finch' Cloke, Dane Swan and even Buckley getting stuck into him you can understand his desire to leave that neanderthal pack. He is a very good footballer and a very good role model and Collingwood did not value this. Roos did. MFC did. It looks like our players do. I love the guy. Frustrates at times but very few don't when trying to improve as our club from where we have been. Love the H fndee!
