2024 List and Contract Details
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Turner, Turner? -
Van Rooyen, Fritsch, Turner, Petty/Jefferson, Pickett (from Round 4), Chandler, with supply corrections in midfield and off half back. Compare and contrast with the other 17.

Well-responded-to already SS22, I know, but here's my two penn'orth: Does your source have an informed angle on this?... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.afl.com.au/news/917575/four-more-years-dees-excitement-machine-re-signs/amp It is human, I know - and indeed admirable in some situations (politicians, please note) - to change one's mind, but...

There's a discussion there to be had, Groucho (I use that avatar-prompted label in positive, appreciative terms😊) but we should agree to just acknowledge eachother's different perspectives and move on back to footy n fun. And both of us trod lightly with our posts - well done us.

Fair question. There'd be a fair cohort on here who would nominate this guy: https://www.google.com/search?q=tom+sparrow+goal+2021+grand+final&oq=tom+sparrow+goal+2021+grand+final&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigAdIBCTE5NDg4ajBqNKgCAbACAQ&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:0ee115b6,vid:MWD7AHN6QZ0,st:0

AFLW: 2024 Injury List

After Sunday's meaningful reinjections, only Pearce, B Mackin - both 'prossible' for Round 9 - and Colvin remain as returnables. Four 'Seasons' (thanks Signor Vivaldi) round out the list. After our young team's darkest hour, sneaking up on finals now? -
Pick 9 not 23-worthy, Dubya? Conservative!

Note to Demon Army: Turns out you can take it up another notch!

Welcome to Demonland: Harry Sharp
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He's got the hair to hold his own with Ed and Caleb. (#follicleenvy) -
3rd para, 2nd line, 5th word: I genuinely had to look twice.

Welcome to Demonland: Harry Sharp

The Club's just got to get Kelli 'Mozzie Kozzie' Underwood into its media team now. -
😄 Though, at the risk of igniting any number, variety, orientation and strength of responses, to be strictly correct... ...The Occupied Territories.

Surely he would have chosen a destination club?! 😉 -
Yuck.

Saying something, not particularly complimentary, about the fixture so far - and possibly about the AFL's 'team creation' set-ups, and other artificialities: * North's percentage of 311% (including a draw with 12th-placed Geelong) * 16th-placed GWS 91%, 11th-placed Melbourne 61% * 12th-placed Geelong 103%, 11th-placed Melbourne 61% * 3 teams less than 50% (and one near it) - despite 2 having won twice Injuries, particularly ours, skew things somewhat, too.

On the same page, Essendon has 10 reasons. We're gone. -
Young players training in the USA
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
*Dips toes hesitantly into mire...* Couple of things in your posts, @dazzledavey36 and @old dee: Where do we find the players' views on travelling to Casey? (I'm not on any social media except here. And that's more than enough 😉) Where, achievable earlier, do the new set of board members want the football team to be? (And maybe I should have put this on another thread. Sorry to divert a positive story.) -

😄 But, geographically and to the ear, that still shouts 'yeah, nah, undecided'. Mount Duneed on the other hand... -

Just a little bit of the Ben Brown about him? Can't be unhappy with that. -

Two Harrys, then? And 'harry': 'Persistently carry out attacks (on an enemy or an enemy's territory)' That'll do me. -

9 Reasons to be Positive Heading into 2025
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
On this year's placings, that's 5, 6, 8, 9, 13, 18 This year we played, based on final standings, 1, 3, 7, 9, 10, 16 So, 5, not 1; 6, not 3; 8, not 7; 13, not 10; 18, not 16; and 9 again. Easier on paper, yes. 'Much' is moot. And it takes no account of where and when games happen, particularly the once-onlys, or of changes in performance. p.s. Noting it's possible for journos to put positive spins on us! Yay. -
