  1. More on the OP's 'useful word or four' on the morrow.
  2. @Witches Hat joins the Solver Sanctum. Well done! Got well towards the answer with a first attempt, with the 'what', so I did give a bit of encouragement (that there might be more for a full answer). Then got the 'when'.
  3. ...Thanks for the first bit, though! 😊
  4. Not sure whether to be chuffed or miffed! And I'm sure you're in the cerebral camp! A clue, then: It's footy related.
  5. I'm finding this thread an interesting warm-up for when Ben Brown, Tom McDonald, Brodie Grundy, James Harmes and/or James Jordon are confirmed as 2024 starters 😉
  6. Since I started drafting the reply below, there has, in fact, been an entry, and a CORRECT one at that. Hearty congrats to @reynolds46! The reply was, 'Thanks for bringing this back up the board, Mr Stone. Not sure about the 'We're'; 'I'm' would be better suited, as it's been 🦗🦗🦗 otherwise! Perhaps I should have asked you to post my puzzle in your name to attract the rusted-on Demonstone conundrum tragics?😉' However, with Reynolds' successful entry I'll keep clueing to a minimum for the moment, and just point to the OP for a useful word or four... (yes, Reynolds?)
  7. Ah, that score after Gus's Premiership gem: 9.10.64 ❤️
  8. Club games, we presumed? It appears she has a game for Victoria as well (when did that happen?)
  9. Club advising be there by 6.30.
  10. It's already three days into what was already a short break (from which we'll benefit, of course, in our longer lead-up to our Preliminary Final...) But, oh, the wait! So, here's something somewhat seasonal to sidetrackingly stuff this stretch of suspense: The following squad of generally handy players from the period 2001 to 2014, are linked by something, uniquely for the period (though certainly not over time more broadly). What is the something? Backs: Corey ENRIGHT Dustin FLETCHER (VC) Brodie HOLLAND Half backs: Ben JOHNSON Nick MAXWELL Heath GRUNDY Centres: Paul CHAPMAN Brent HARVEY Chris HEFFERNAN Half forwards: Steve JOHNSON Lance FRANKLIN Dale THOMAS Forwards: Alastair LYNCH Matthew LLOYD (C) Tim NOTTING Followers: Patrick RYDER Mark RICCIUTO Mark BICKLEY Interchange from: Jason CLOKE Kasey GREEN Kent KINGSLEY Sam LONERGAN Luke McCABE James PODSIADLY Anthony ROCCA PMs (and not Prime Ministers this time) only, please.
  11. So keep an eye out for some diverting conundrums hereon, A. 😁
  12. Would people please stop posting in this thread, bringing it back to the top of the board? Oh...
  13. Fairytale#1: May winning the Norm and giving his premiership medal to Jake M. Fairytale#2: Grundy getting a horses-for-courses gig next Thursday, ripping it apart, then taking that form through two more games (Fairytale#2A: The second of those being a Collingwood rematch) p.s. Thank you, everyone, for not taking up @SPC's offer to nominate players from other clubs. How will anyone be able to qualify anyway?! p.p.s. The above views do not necessarily reflect the author's residual MFCSS. Go away, QF favouritism!
  14. That's the guy! And the 'BBB' will be vacant? (p.s. I hope BBB1 does keep up / increase his WDees involvement)
  15. I mentioned this once before: the guy who was BOG for Norwood Redlegs in 2022 GF. Shepp boy?
  16. Yes, yes, yes, says my long-distant childhood.
  17. Surprised, but pleased 'MGE' tops the list! Shaping up to pull further ahead in AFLW8, too! Can't W8 😄
  18. If Port lose today, and we win, they would then have the concussion problem in the OP scenario. Gee, this is fun. (Off track, Warning: Be it 11, 12, 13 or 14 days, the extended vacuum will probably be puzzle time on here. I'm afraid I've got one in the wings...)
  19. Saving it up for the empty 11/12/13/14 days ahead?
  20. @Dees_In_October, you need something to keep this on the front board. Well done; it's worth it!
  21. Well, that sorts out one part of the puzzle, and an MCG final becomes more likely: now, the less-likely outcome of one of Brisbane or Port losing is required for it to be otherwise, if/when we win. If the really unlikely scenario occurs - that they both lose - we get a home final regardless of our result! Saturday night's D'Land chat will be fun!
  22. ...presuming Brisbane beats St Kilda, which will be known by then.
  23. Goodwin: We certainly won't be resting players "unless they're forced to rest." Wriggle room 😉
