  1. Yes, but we do need pace and skills. The final series showed how much speed, skills and intensity now means. The Dogs were phenomenal in this department. It meant more than experience. We have a few speedsters but not enough looking at the Dogs, GWS and the Swans. We need a group of line breakers not one or two. Otherwise, we may be more competitive but will left behind in the foot race against those 3 sides.
  2. Thanks Mandee. McDevitt's comments provide the clarity around personal responsibility/accountability. For me, case closed. In no other sport would we be having this discussion.
  3. Just fell off my chair, a straight honest answer from a lawyer. A rare virtue these days.
  4. Yes but we are building a young team with a new strong culture. Would he fit? Difference is okay and necessary but will he have the right behaviours and attitude for our young group. I guess Viney and others would sort him out but we want a player who will bring the right mindset to our young developing list.
  5. Does he have the required speed?
  6. Well, old friend, I could have told you that 18 months ago but I have enjoyed and approved of your always well reasoned analysis, logic and outrage. In all your posts you carried the flag for clean sport and accountability admirably without compromise or appeasement.
  7. Yes he probably deserves the benefit of doubt Daisy. I would not normally give a lawyer such liberty or consideration, but Redlegs posts do suggest he is a good bloke.
  8. I would have expected that you were more protective of your personal and professional reputation Redleg. I had the mistaken idea that were a person of taste and a certain lets just say "je ne sais quoi."
  9. One also has to understand that some people are without shame. Society consists of the cheaters and the cheated. More often than not, cheaters are without shame. That's why they are cheaters. From beginning to finish, the EFC and its acolytes have had no shame.
  10. Perhaps deluded and certainly completely lacking any objectivity. I suppose, he could argue it is an opinion piece, but given it's lack of objectivity due to his biases, completely unprofessional. I suppose in fairness and given his own limitations, one has to understand that he has to maintain the consistency of his past scribbles over the past few years and also maintain his low journalistic standard.
  11. It was a blunder no doubt.
  12. As there does not seem to be much choice, I would not be averse to Minson. We do not want another "development" tall. Minson is an intelligent and experienced ruckman that knows his craft and his limitations. Not ideal but not a stupid choice. He has a bit of aggro and can take a mark around the ground.
  13. Well said. PJ and the football department have done a remarkable job. Our respect and pride has returned after a long absence.
  14. You have to be impressed about the way the MFC has conducted itself. Hats off to all those involved Also impressed by Jesse's conduct and honesty. Infact, there seems to have been a good amount of respect, integrity and honesty from both sides including Jesse's manager.
  15. Anyone who posts a negative comment is a bum!
  16. What does Mrs Frog feel about your move? Is she croaking with joy or dismay?
  17. Found some very nice drinking spots Macca!
  18. What a wonderful heading in the Age. " Jesse Hogan re-signs with the Demons. Turns his back on WA clubs"
  19. I know others have said it, but what a different club we have become. The dogs have already shown that losers can become winners. Now for the Dee's. In real terms this signing is incredibly significant in the message it sends out to supporters, players and the football world. And the ratbags who can't resist having a go at the club.
  20. Just spent a week in Freo Ethan. Loved it. Infact Perth is great. So the fact that Jesse has resigned says a lot about Jesse and the MFC.
  21. I wouldn't blame Beveridge or the players, but overly keen and poor organisation by the club. Just silly to have such an event a few days after the game. To bag the coach or the players after that incredible match is unreasonable. Just an overly enthusiastic club administration who did not think it through.
  22. Uncle, I still take a peak you know. No moral dilemma there.
  23. Papley and Zac Jones .....hmmmm , god damn it
  24. Contested ball is king
  25. Lots of cats look cooked. If only Heeney was a Dee. I could fall back in live with the game.
